Hairs found in the food, deeply disappointed.

It's a gastro type pub that caters for both drinkers and eaters, the staff are young ambitious people that are helpful and confident. They make your visit a memorable one as nothing is too good for these very helpful young staff members. It's definitely a family type pub which caters for all ages, the surroundings are comfortable and the bar I was in was spotlessly clean. I will definitely be visiting this pub again in the very near future.

Visited the kings fairway with my family. The welcome i received from a young lady called Kayleigh was very friendly and polite. Anais was very attentive and paid special attention to my disabled daughter, making sure she catered to all her needs. I am very grateful for ella who informed me that i had left my keys and returned them to me as I was leaving. 10 out of 10 for my visit, I shall be back soon.

A lovely local pub with a welcoming atmosphere, good food and a range of tasty cocktails. The staff are all very friendly, nothing is too much trouble and they make you feel like one of the Fairway family.

I have been using this pub for many years and it has always delivered, however over the past year I’ve noticed a big improvement, particularly with the quality of the staff, always welcoming, polite and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is comfortable, the food good and fairly priced. I also enjoy their themed nights, particularly the quiz night

Lovely pub, the live music nights have real atmosphere and I particularly enjoyed the cocktail menu, love meeting family there.

Really friendly and welcoming, Anaïs served us , she was very professional , polite, friendly and welcoming. Checked in with us that our food was ok. The Sunday roast was delicious . I will come back again .

Most shocking experience in a long time. The customer service from staff is non existent, I’ve never been spoken to so abruptly regarding my order. Table was pre booked, specifically asked for a table near the disabled toilet, was told this would be absolutely fine as we have our elderly grandmother with us, only to arrive and be told we weren’t able to sit there. We then ordered our food to our table , food ordered same time together, bill paid in two transactions. After waiting 50 mins, only half the tables food arrived, to be told an order for table 3 went through in between our orders so they are being served before the rest of our table. Absolutely shocking they would not serve the same table their food in one go! When the rest of the tables food arrives it’s burnt, the carrots so undercooked my Nan could not eat them, nor was she able to cut through the pastry. My child’s burgers where rock hard, inedible! When brought to the attention of the staff they were unapologetic and just made excuses regarding only having one oven in the kitchen, but they need to let people know the food is going to take longer, just putting a sign up saying maintenance doesn’t explain there is only one fryer!!! , not even “I’m sorry your food order is taking a little longer than expected “ nothing , Really think your staff need a course on customer service, a little smile even goes a long way. To see members of staff behind the bar on their Mobile phones is awful when I’m having to ask them to clear the plates from starters and mains to make way for pudding. Honestly I’m absolutely shocked!!! It was an actual waste of money, petrol and time coming to the kings fairway.

Go to the pub they say to help keep businesses open but when you receive such poor service, your better off at home. Certainly would have spent my time and money better. Disappointed is not even enough to say how bad the service was. A sign saying maintenance doesn't explain anything. No warm greeting, more of an inconvenience for placing an order, no empathy, no please or thank you not even a smile. Waited over an hour for food after asking how much longer to be told that there was only one fryer working. I did say it would be good as a courtesy to let your customers know that you are experiencing some delays and the food order could take an hour or more, this allows the customer to make a decision. No apology, just a stare to then be brought food and place on table without any thing said, not a thank you for waiting, or apologies for the wait or even enjoy your meal. Staff need a course on customer services specially in the hospitality industry. I get if customers are rude staff, they are not going to be happy bunnies but when your customers smile at you and say thank you, a smile wouldn't hurt. Food was ok, burnt lasagne, veg rubbery and took way too long. I won't be going back and have changed plans with other friends now. I work in Customer services and really suggest talking to you staff.

Visited kings fairway on 13th January. A very pleasant man behind the bar served us very obliging & helpful. He said it was his 1st night working & we were very impressed. I do hope he continues to stay there as he was a credit to the pub with his customer service. Sorry it's late in putting review up.

Went in for lunch on a Friday with a couple of friends. The pub was quite busy but a few free tables dotted around. I ordered using the App, pretty easy. Special mention to Tony who was great at bringing over the food and drinks. He is very friendly and is super helpful. The ladies toilets have been refurbished, which is a definite plus.

Booked a Christmas meal here. Main burger was a bit bland but the dessert was amazing. Service was a bit slow but staff were friendly. Atmosphere was cosy and inviting, with a number of festive diners.

We booked a table, for the festive menu. When we arrived the team where very organised and helpful and everything ran very smoothly. Food was good and very well priced. Would recommend

Service was quick as we order via the app. The ladies toilets were awful. As you walk in there is horrible smell of urine (it's been like that for some time, like months!) Two out of 4 cubicles where out of order, one of the 2 toilets had no toilet paper and there was toilet paper all over the floor, not just a few pieces but loads. The sink area was dirty and again toilet paper everywhere. I let the staff know of it being so awful but it took them over an hour to do anything about it. The bar wasn't even busy so no excuse in my mind.

Food is hit and miss here. I think it ,depends who is cooking, the day and the time of the day you go in. If you're booking a table then you need to be prepared to pay a deposit, usually £40 for a table of 4, but you do get this taken off the bill when you pay. Atmosphere is always nice here. Quite a busy little pub/restautant

Went for the Christmas dinner offering was absolutely amazing. Great choice for the annual occasion. The food was amazing and portion sizes plentiful. The burger was on the blander side. Service was slow but always came with a smile and was helpful. Would certianly reccomend the daytime food offerings here! Great fireplace and cozy intimate atmosphere.

I had the Sunday roast duo with turkey and gammon the gammon was ok only one thin slice the turkey had more of that but was far to dry found it hard to swallow it the roast potatoes where really overly hard like a overly hard boiled potatoes the greens didn’t even seem to be cooked looked as if it had been thrown on the plate abit disappointed and the roast aren’t worth £14.49

Came in with friends for the Christmas menu. Couldn't fault any of it. Food hot and delicious. Service excellent and a lovely atmosphere and great value. Will come again before Christmas.

Popped in for lunch with an old friend, had a wonderful 2 course meal and drinks. Always recommend food, and ambience.

It was fine, much the muchness of an Ember Inn, so got what expected. The table booked for 6 was for 5 but managed to get on a larger table when they vacated. Some of the dishes were unavailable sadly. There was no milk for coffees of teas, wasn’t offered alternatives like oat or soy despite later seeing that these were available when casually browsing the menu (bearing in mind there is a petrol station opposite so more moo juice could have been obtained, obviously some corporate reason why this cannot be actioned nowadays). This was a Saturday afternoon. We all had a nice catch up and the food was decent, we said we wanted to return to try the Sunday Roast in the future.

Good Food, Great Price, we were a table of 6, and everything went smoothly. Staff were welcoming, too.. Will definitely go back again.

The kingsfairways is my local as l live In the area. The only fault l find is being a vegetarian there isn't much choice l always end up with having the fish and chips which l enjoy but would like a choice the menu is always the same in the evening

Went there for our next door neighbours wake and was really impressed with the food the staff were courteous and friendly.

We enjoyed brunch - a full english breakfast, it arrived quickly and was great.

The menu is new and the items were actually available, for a change. The food was good and looked good as well. I had a starter and a glass of wine as I had had a very late lunch. Service was good, Staff, friendly and cheerful.

Everything was great. Staff were really welcoming and friendly. Reserved table was all ready, and we grabbed a drink straight away. The food was all good, very enjoyable. A great experience all round.

My friends and I went to hear the live music, it was really very good Aaron Norton. At the end of the evening Aaron was packing up and we were telling him how much we had all enjoyed the evening. A bloke appeared at our table and said he was the ‘Manager’ we suggested booking Aaron again as we could bring a large crowd of school mums for a night out in the future/Christmas. He basically snorted and said book him yourself, I felt he belittled Aaron. Another lady in our group suggested the 30th November as a pre Christmas party, the manager quickly replied no we are already booked with Stevie Wonder? He then bluntly turned to our table as said now can you f**k off! I honestly didn’t know whether it was a joke but the atmosphere changed. My friend then challenged him and said there’s no need to be so rude, he then proceeded to said ‘Can you politely f**k off’. I then asked for his name and he sneered and said his name was ‘Dave Paul’. We all immediately left feeling very uncomfortable and upset as there was simply no need for that tone and rudeness to a group of five women. This was witnessed by Aaron, who we had been just chatting to. Whilst waiting for our taxi outside, a member of the bar staff was outside having a cigarette, I approached him and asked him to confirm the managers name. He said his name was Paul, we mentioned what had just happened and he replied that Paul was often rude and belligerent when he was drinking to punters! He was very apologetic to us, and acknowledged we had spent money over the whole evening. Over the course of the evening we spent well over £250 on drinks, this is unacceptable behaviour and has really left us disappointed. We will be opting for another venue as he was so rude. I will be following this up directly with Ember Inns, as this type of management is not acceptable.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN ORDERING AT YOUR TABLE (if you're old like me) We ordered our meal from the table via the app. I made a mistake when ordering. I wanted Scampi & Chips. When I clicked through the app it gives you an option to "swap your chips" - and below is a line "with chips". I wasn't sure if I needed to tick the add chips or not (it was not clear) but the description already had chips; so I ticked the "no side". ie. description has chips so don't order chips again. The order went through at full price and the confirmation says "1 x scampi & chips No side." I understood this to mean that I had ordered 1 x Scampi & Chips with no extra side items (obviously I was wrong) When the food arrived, there were no chips at all. I questioned this and the Manager came out saying I had selected "no carbs"??? (I can't see this option at all on the app) I reasoned that I had made a mistake and could I have the chips please. She said "yes, but I will have to charge you for them". I queried this as the description says Scampi & Chips and I'd paid full price. She would not budge and insisted I would have to pay AGAIN if I wanted the chips. I feel the Manager was very short sighted. I apologised for making the mistake. I had paid full price for my meal. She could easily have agreed to bring out the missing chips but would not forgive my mistake. Her attitude towards me left me feeling patronised. She was unhelpful, unfriendly and not understanding of an older person struggling with technology. This situation was upsetting. I realise it is just a portion of chips but she made me feel very stupid and uncomfortable. Neither I or my friends will return or recommend this establishment to anyone else.

A group of 5 of us went to the Kings Fairway this evening for the live music. We had a great night drinking and listening to the live music. It was very good until the end while we were sitting finishing our drinks the manager came over and said “Can you ladies f@@k off” we waited for the “only joking” but instead he told us to “f@@k off” again. We were shocked and of course we won’t be returning, and neither will any of our local friends.

£6.50 for a small cartoned orange juice from concentrate and small coke from the gun. Absolute disgrace. London charge £5 for a bottled coke and bottled orange. Stay away. Bournemouth sea front is £2.50 for a large!

Staff very friendly and welcoming food very good and the staff keep the tables clean all the time a lot better with more tables outside moved away over a year ago had noticed new decor very nice and still the same manager brilliant 👏

Comfortable venue, good parking, perfect for meeting with friends and family. Great menu with something for everyone, good hearty food and reasonably priced.

I pre-booked a table, with requirement for one person who needed wheelchair access. They took this into consideration and chose a perfect table. The thing to improve would be to be clear that the food would have to be ordered using app or going to the bar (ie make it clear that no one comes to the table to take the order).

I live round the corner from the best pub in the area and sadly do not use it enough, I will endeavour to become more of a regular. The staff are great and the prices excellent, food is good too . Keep up the good work, and all of you out there come to the Kings Fairway and have a great time

We had a truly awful food experience at The Kings Fairway this week. I wasn’t expecting first class service nor experience, but this was very underwhelming. We ordered four meals, and three of them had issues, which could of been avoided if the staff had any customer care. One of the meals was Scampi & Chips, on arrival to the table we were told there was no tartar sauce - which is like having BBQ Spare Ribs without the BBQ sauce. Why was we not informed on ordering so that an alternative could be given. Another meal was half a roasted chicken, with chips and coleslaw. On arrival there was no coleslaw, no explanation. When questioned, the waitress told me they were out of Coleslaw. Again, why was we not informed or asked for an alternative? The third meal, a Chicken Schnitzel, arrived in the shape of a BBQ covered Hunters Chicken Schnitzel - not what was ordered, so therefore had to wait another 20 mins for the correct dish. After the food dramatics, i went to the bar to order the children a Pepsi Max, and instead of perhaps offering a gesture of goodwill - i was asked for £3.55, no please, no thank you. No manners! Shocking, as it seems as though a nice enough pub environment.

Visited pub for English breakfast. Was surprised how expensive and poor the breakfast was. Only 1 piece of toast, 1 hash brown, and pea size amount of beans. All the food was cold and dry. Last year I visited the pub and was so impressed with the quality of the food and the amount. Today, I was not impressed. The food was cold and poor quality. I even asked to swap a grilled tomato for a hash brown as wasn't allowed as it's 'too expensive'. I don't recommend this pub for breakfast to anyone. Better places for breakfast in other local pubs nearby.

Hadn't booked; really busy but meal was excellently cooked. Bar staff earnt every penny of their wage helping out in all areas; they didn't stop. Warm and atmospheric pub. Fantastic evening spent.

Such a pleasant atmosphere, made even better when you could see regulars there too, and being treated well. I could not fault the service, nor was I looking to find fault, I hasten to add. Food was freshly cooked and presented well, and hot too (temperature wise), as it should be. Staff attitude and customer service skills were excellent and all the team deserve praise. Special thanks to the kitchen team for producing excellent food and the housekeeping team for keeping the restaurant spick and span (other establishments should take note). I will definitely be moving this to a frequent visit place, and would not hesitate to recommend anyone to visit. Great parking on site and overall excellent place to visit!! Thank you to everyone, seen and unseen!!

Dreadful experience Have had diarrhoea for hours since lunch when I was there.

Came here for a night out and its a really nice pub in a convenient location, nice outdoor area, nice layout inside and has a good vibe. The drinks are the same as other places, and the food is OK but its your normal pub chain menu of frozen items with the company who owns it trying to make as much money as they can while serving up mediocre portions. One thing that needs attention here are the toilets, The gents are OK if your just standing but I would have gone home if I needed to sit. They were not great by a long shot, doors were propped open as well, maybe to let the smell out. Wife said the ladies were awful with wet floors, toilet paper everywhere and they stank. PLEASE INTRODUCE YOUR CLEANER TO A MOP, A BUCKET AND SOME BLEACH!

We were staying in a nearby hotel before a flight to USA the following morning and found this gem of a pub. The place was rather busy for 5pm on a Sunday, but there was a great atmosphere with lots of locals and the food we had was lovely.

Really enjoyed our family lunch. We were a big table and the staff looked after us perfectly. We felt very welcome. Would definitely recommend.

I always like the Kings Fairway pub. It's large, lots of space and I like that I can book a table. It was quiet when we were in. Food came out fast. Happy to recommend.

Booked a table. Arrived to find our table was taken, manager (possibly) gave us our first drinks for free. Now that is what customer service is about, attention to detail go a long way !

Booked a table, all organised, shown to our usual window table. Ordered at bar, charming young man who kindly carried our drinks to the table. Food was served fairly quickly & was it's usual high quality.
