The King's Fairway in Spelthorne

Visited pub for English breakfast. Was surprised how expensive and poor the breakfast was. Only 1 piece of toast, 1 hash brown, and pea size amount of beans. All the food was cold and dry. Last year I visited the pub and was so impressed with the quality of the food and the amount. Today, I was not impressed. The food was cold and poor quality. I even asked to swap a grilled tomato for a hash brown as wasn't allowed as it's 'too expensive'. I don't recommend this pub for breakfast to anyone. Better places for breakfast in other local pubs nearby.

Hadn't booked; really busy but meal was excellently cooked. Bar staff earnt every penny of their wage helping out in all areas; they didn't stop. Warm and atmospheric pub. Fantastic evening spent.

Next, great interaction with other team members, followed by an easy to order lunch. My breaded mushrooms and ham and eggs hit the spot today and went down very well. Such a pleasant atmosphere, made even better when you could see regulars there too, and being treated well. I could not fault the service, nor was I looking to find fault, I hasten to add. Food was freshly cooked and presented well, and hot too (temperature wise), as it should be. Staff attitude and customer service skills were excellent and all the team deserve praise. Special thanks to the kitchen team for producing excellent food and the housekeeping team for keeping the restaurant spick and span (other establishments should take note). I will definitely be moving this to a frequent visit place, and would not hesitate to recommend anyone to visit. Great parking on site and overall excellent place to visit!! Thank you to everyone, seen and unseen!!

Dreadful experience Have had diarrhoea for hours since lunch when I was there.

Came here for a night out and its a really nice pub in a convenient location, nice outdoor area, nice layout inside and has a good vibe. The drinks are the same as other places, and the food is OK but its your normal pub chain menu of frozen items with the company who owns it trying to make as much money as they can while serving up mediocre portions. One thing that needs attention here are the toilets, The gents are OK if your just standing but I would have gone home if I needed to sit. They were not great by a long shot, doors were propped open as well, maybe to let the smell out. Wife said the ladies were awful with wet floors, toilet paper everywhere and they stank. PLEASE INTRODUCE YOUR CLEANER TO A MOP, A BUCKET AND SOME BLEACH!

We were staying in a nearby hotel before a flight to USA the following morning and found this gem of a pub. The place was rather busy for 5pm on a Sunday, but there was a great atmosphere with lots of locals and the food we had was lovely.

Really enjoyed our family lunch. We were a big table and the staff looked after us perfectly. We felt very welcome. Would definitely recommend.

I always like the Kings Fairway pub. It's large, lots of space and I like that I can book a table. It was quiet when we were in. Food came out fast. Happy to recommend.

Booked a table. Arrived to find our table was taken, manager (possibly) gave us our first drinks for free. Now that is what customer service is about, attention to detail go a long way !

Booked a table, all organised, shown to our usual window table. Ordered at bar, charming young man who kindly carried our drinks to the table. Food was served fairly quickly & was it's usual high quality.

Decided to have something to eat Friday night with a friend, we both had the Posh fish meal and I counted 8 chips on my plate and 10 on my mates plate....all tasted fine.....but seriously could do with more chips.......far better going to two brothers first beforehand potions are far more and so much cheaper.....

Excellent Sunday lunch - two roast chicken dinners (very tasty), one Munchies sunday (yummy) and two drinks - for an incredibly reasonable £34.00.

Do not eat here, they seldom have anything on the menu, their curry night is a joke as if you find three bits if meat in it you are lucky, You get served unfilled drinks in filthy glasses, AVOID AVOID AVOID

Quiet night with no roast dinners available, disappointing on a Sunday. One of our group wanted a pudding, again, weirdly, none available. This all reads like a negative review but the day was saved by the two male members of staff who served us. Both were friendly, apologetic and one gave us a round of drinks on the house by way of compensation. Well done to them and well done to the management for having the structure to allow issues to be addressed appropriately on the spot.

We have been to the Kings Fairway a number of times over the last year. The atmosphere is good and feels comfortable. You don't have loud music playing which allows people to chat. Your staff are always helpful, friendly and prompt. Food and drink is of a good quality and pricing is fair! Definitely the best pub in Ashford , Surrey. Credit to the owners/management. Please keep it up!

Thoroughly enjoyed breakfast with Santa with our great grandson and families. Good service very friendly staff. The only thing I was disappointed with was we were refused a hot drink with our breakfast and this was included in my confirmation invoice, I had to purchase drinks for us all, very disappointed

Amazing food good value for money

Came here for an early Christmas meet up. We all had the three courses. Selection was excellent, well cooked, and the service was brilliant being it was busy. We had the table laid out for Christmas and crackers and at under £20 for 3 courses we couldn't fault it. Booked to come again!

We were going somewhere else for lunch but passed the kings not been in before so decided to try unfortunately my lunch was not good some of it overcooked some undercooked shame as the pub it self appeared ok would l go back No if that's what l was served.

First time I've eaten here. It was from the Xmas dinner menu and was very good for the price.

Lovely place for a get together. Good service and value for money. Simon , behind the bar welcomed us and throughout the evening nothing was impossible. The service was excellent and thanks to the loyalty discount we managed to eat well and drink for less than £45 for two of us. The bar staff are excellent , the bar is clean and food is great. Recommend the Chicken Wings! Will return very soon

I pre booked a table for 1 30 days ago for three . On arrival was told my table was reserved but et would have to wait a hour and a half for service owing to demand ! What’s yhee we point of booking !!!!!

The kingsfairways is my local as l live In the area. The only fault l find is being a vegetarian there isn't much choice l always end up with having the fish and chips which l enjoy but would like a choice the menu is always the same in the evening

My disabled brother and I are now regular visitors to this pub. The welcome is always warm and friendly, the food well prepared and certainly value for money and there is plenty of room to manoeuvre a wheelchair. It has become a highlight of my brother’s week and that makes us both happy. Thank you Kayleigh and all the Fairway staff. x

Lovely pub with the most welcoming staff. Always clean and well presented. Toilets are beautifully decorated and clean too! They hold quiz nights, psychic nights and music entertainment nights to name a few so always something going on. Plenty of dealing both indoor and out. Lots of choices of beverages both alcoholic and non alcoholic. Food is good and the menu tailors for everyone. We love the desserts! Especially the brownie or caramel apple pie! The car park has plenty of spaces but I do recommend booking tables in advance, especially on Wednesdays as they get quite busy with the quiz nights.

We were looking forward to a lovely roast instead we got frozen roast potatoes frozen veg ,not fresh roasted like it says on the menu no red cabbage no broccoli, we were very disappointed with food the children's roast chicken was not roasted chicken but a chicken fillet that looked grilled ,the only thing my grandaughter enjoyed was her dessert a huge waffle which I have to say looked good, the service was very good and staff nice enough just a shame the food let the place down .was a total waste of my £39

Lovely atmosphere. Friendly helpful staff. Food was very good. It was nice to see children in at lunchtime. Many years ago, I went for Sunday lunch with my family from the States. We sat down, made our choices from the menu and only when we went to order, were we told that children were not allowed in! Not a good impression. I understand for the evening service, but it looks as if management has changed since, and for the better. 5*

Food took a long time to arrive, i didn't think it was overally busy, so I'm not sure why it took nearly an hour. It was lovely food though when it arrived

A meeting of in-laws went extremely well due to the ambience of the Kings Fairway; the meal and service was first class as was the bar staff - especially Simon. A terrific night was had by all.

Lovely meals for all 6 of us. Lots of room to accommodate a wheelchair, also no steps to navigate. Will be going again.

I pre-booked a table, with requirement for one person who needed wheelchair access. They took this into consideration and chose a perfect table. The thing to improve would be to be clear that the food would have to be ordered using app or going to the bar (ie make it clear that no one comes to the table to take the order).

Although a frequent visitor on Pub Quiz night for dinner, today was a Monday night catch up with a friend. Lovely atmosphere as usual, very chilled, and excellent service from all the staff. A great meal (as always!) , and fab apple crumble and custard as a treat… Such a good atmosphere and a great welcome. Can’t fault it!

Food was delicious and a fair price.

Been coming here for a year or so and unfortunately one of our friends collapsed. The care and attention we received was exemplary and cannot thank you enough. Thankfully he recovered and will be back very soon. Cheers AJ and Wendy.

First time dining, and overall I was very impressed! Food was out fairly quickly, piping hot and really yummy! I will definitely be visiting again.

Very nice and busy pub with lots of atmosphere. Sadly having to wait an hour for a midweek evening meal is not good enough.

The roasted Mediterranean vegetable style salad, still had frozen courgettes in the dish & also far too much coconut oil dressing....yuk.

Recently met friends here for dinner. The sun was out and the pub was busy which was nice to see. There was a slight wait on food due to how busy they were and the fact that they had been short staffed. We were advised this as soon as we arrived and again when we went to order. We were happy to wait and the quality of food did not suffer. Good and drink was good value for money. Would definitely go back soon.

Went for a Sunday roast I had Roast Beef but unable to supply any Horse Radish to go with it roast potatoes very bland but good portions my girlfriend had a child's portion of turkey which she enjoyed apart from roast potatoes shame as service is very good and choice from menu is good .

Been here three or four times now! Great place for a catch up with a relative. Food is great quality and drinks are sensibly priced. Staff very friendly, with a mixed bag of customers from what looks like local tradesmen, who know a thing or two about value for money, to young through to old. Recent refurb and adequate parking and outdoor seating. Great place for a no frills meal. All the usual pub food at great quality. Thank you KF!

Very quiet but then it is mid week. Clean, pleasant staff, reasonably priced beer.

Had a curry on their so called curry night. Very disappointed only four very small pieces of lamb in the rogan josh I had. They must of got it from Iceland’s on a special, two for a pound. Won’t be back.

I have eaten at Kings Fairways many times now and they NEVER fail to go above and beyond to make my visit exceptional. The food is always cooked to perfection and the service I receive is worthy of 5 stars every time. They are welcoming and cater to my every need. I will continue to come back as it is a lovely pub to visit.

Update 2013: Its among my all time fav! It just gets better and better, actually it checks all boxes - I can't think about anything else, it's great place to enjoy a drink, pint and nice food too! They also serve Doombar! Can you ask for anything else? 100% recommended! 5 Stars well deserved!! It's very pleasant looking english pub with a free parking and good selection of food, ales and other drinks.
