Well priced, good portions and were very accommodating with special requests regarding an allergy. We will be back for more!

John was running around looking after us, 170 to a load of people who had been at the Rugby, thank you so much for your hard work!

I haven’t been to the goat for 10 years. It’s changed hands in that time and unfortunately the service has gone down dramatically went for a family event and most of us ordered the carvery and some ordered pizza and a burger. We were told how long the pizza bag will take so we plan the car accordingly things have run out on the carvery to wait quite awhile as no roast potatoes. We got our curries we were nearly finished before someone got their burger and finished when the pizzas turned up and never cleared the table before bringing the desserts. Such a shame. The roast meat meat was very nice and tender and a choice of vegetables. My lemon rang sundae wasn’t so good. I won’t be returning there.

Sean is a great manager and chef and Donna is so professional at her job and so down to earth. Every pub should have people working for them like these two. One of the main reasons I keep coming back. Thank you!

Haven’t been to the Goat for a long time as it had really gone downhill, but was told it had new manager who was turning it around so gave it a go and I was not disappointed. It was clean and the carvery was first class. Well done Shaune

I think was the manager on shift was amazing. I have an other allergy and he checked everything and I mean everything thoughtly for me. They appeared short staffed but this staff member went above and beyond I’m sorry I didn’t get his name. Food quality wasn’t the best but I cannot fault the customer service from the manager that was doing everything. Even to opening the doors as we had someone in a wheel chair! If I knew his name I would give him a mention

John was an excellent host, he was extremely courteous and pleasant. Will be sure to visit again.

John is a great guy very inviting and accommodating, always a pleasure to be at The Goat.

I was very very disappointed with the service. We were made to feel like we were a hindrance. If I’m honest I can’t blame the people that were working, it was the lack of staff that caused the issue so they probably felt right under pressure. All the same, one of the worst experiences for a meal I’ve ever had. I won’t be going back. The food was very average as well.

Booked for lunch with friends , had a lovely roast dinner cooked to perfection, followed by a very naughty pudding. Staff very welcoming, will definitely come back

As a coach driver we get to go to a lot of places, this is on a different level. They welcome you in and point you in the direction of the reserved seats for our group of 52. Then service was efficient in delivering our meals 😋. The bar is well staffed, again, efficient. Ample parking even for a coach. Well done folks. 😎 see ya soon. Cheers 🍻

Went for mothers Day, and my wife had a roast, which was limited compared to other occasions, but she enjoyed what was there. I had a burger that day, and honestly, it was the worst burger I have ever purchased. I have been going here for a couple of years, and it's slowly going downhill. This was the last time we would eat here, I would not recommend it.

Lovely pub, big emphasis on the food side over the drink side. The pub is mostly a carvery restaurant, but there's a nice outside area, TVs with sport on inside and a bar area too.

John was a wonderful host. Carvery wasn’t up to standard much better on a Sunday. Very quiet and lovely area. Worth giving it a go as it Varys day by day.

We were part of the Crossways party on our way to Abba Voyge. The carvery was excellent, and the service was great. Nothing was too much trouble. Would highly recommend

My son & I was staying near by and this was our first visit. I ordered the roast and my son had a Philly burger with chips, son's burger took over 20mins to come out but it was busy and he loved it. My roast was amazing, will visit again.

Lovely place, the carvery looked lovely, I had a vegetarian option which was really really tasty, with leeks, cheese and sprouts in a crust (bit like a Yorkshire pudding) and all the trimmings, highly recommend

Staff difficult to find, manager gave incorrect dietary info for dairy free, even though very friendly - just aswell i checked with other staff who made it. Good to have dairy gree options on the carvery.

The carvery is always amazing! There is always a warm and friendly welcome and the service is excellent! The price for quality and quantity is value for money! Would highly recommend!!

That just knocked Toby carvery off the place of the planet The food was presented professionally no mess everywhere like Toby carvery staff was so kind and went to chat to you and the food was unbelievable. I’m not joking.

I booked my Mum's 60th Birthday meal here this weekend. There was a little misunderstanding at first with the room we booked however the manager in charge at the time sorted this out for us very quickly. Him and the staff went out of their way to make it special for her. The carvery was tasty!

Visited the goat on Sunday evening thinking it may be closed but it’s was open and had a good range of food. Ok it’s a carvery so yes the meat had been under a heat lamp but for the money it was fantastic value and the meat was not dry and had a full veggies. Have to give this 10/10 a great meal. John at the bar was really nice and friendly Just an update as another visit to the Goat Again John and Josh work really hard providing a nice eating environment, the food today 20/03/25 was really good for the price of £10 midweek it’s good value and so much better than fast food and yes you get veggies 👍 10/10 again guys thank you for a nice evening meal 😀

Had the in-laws down and needed somewhere easy and inexpensive to go out and eat. The Goat isn't my usual choice of venue, but it was fantastic. Really tasty food, lovely sized portions and staff were really friendly. Value for money and ate well. Had three children and there was plenty for them to choose from. Would go again.

I had lunch at The Goat on Saturday with two friends and the food was very flavourful and plentiful. The service from Josh and Mir was pleasant and friendly from arrival to departure. We will certainly be going back again. Thank you to all at The Goat.
