The best restaurants serving British food in South Bucks South East

Popped in here for an early supper -it’s our local. Great service and friendly waitress served us quickly as requested as we were going to the cinema. Will be coming again next week.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. The croissants are nice but not perfect, they need a little more bite. We gave them 6/10. The coffee was a bit disappointing, only 5/10. Great to see Monmouth beans used, but to be completely honest, the finished product is a level below independent coffee shops in London. The ratio of milk to coffee and water to coffee were off in our flat white and black americano, respectively. Still, nice place and I hope if they read this review they can take the comments constructively, because Beaconsfield needs a good independent coffee shop and we're counting on you!

With such a limited Sunday lunch menu with only roast lamb and roast beef offered, how is their planning so bad as to run out of lamb??? Our end of the restaurant was chilly and roast potatoes not at all crispy. But most disappointing of all was the tardy service - extremely long waits for everything (I suspect kitchen issues) but worse - with every course we had to ASK for our used plates, glasses etc to be cleared. Lack of training? lack of care? lack of staff? Take your pick. So why 2 stars not just 1. The starters and deserts were nice and the Manager (Leon) did seem to care and gave us a credit on our bill. He also found time to escort my wife, who walks with a stick, to the WC and back. Nice touch on a busy shift. I appreciated that.

We had a wonderful afternoon tea at Cliveden today, to celebrate two special birthdays. The staff were all incredible, so friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. A big shout out to the gentleman who seated us initially and made us feel very welcome, explained the history of where we were seated and described the menu perfectly for us. We had two specific dietary requirements and we felt like they catered to these perfectly. The food was delicious and plentiful. What a great theme to the menu too. Thank you again for a very special afternoon tea experience. We all agreed it was the best one we’ve been to.

Absolutely for everyone. Couples, family friends, parties etc. We had literally a 5 star experience as soon as we walked in. The Best Around by far 👌. Went for xmas lunch and fell in love with the crown and all of the staff. Highly recommended.

I’m extremely fussy with my food and eat regularly at high end restaurants all over London ! This pub has a homely vibe where all the staff go above and beyond to make your visit extra special! A special mention to Evey, Tom, Peter, Mike. Now onto the food we had steak also lamb it doesn’t get 5 star it gets 6 stars if that existed - cooked to absolute perfection & the best steak I’ve had in at least 5 years ! We will back very soon ! This place is must visit and should be an example to all out there of food standard and outstanding staff ! See you soon Merry Crimbo !

We arrived in the evening and had a lovely dinner with wine. Very good service. Breakfast next day was a buffet, which I don't like personally, but there was a very good selection of food, and the service, especially from Rishi, was excellent.

The food was freshly cooked to order and hot. The menu choice is for everyone. The chef does wonders with the food

Generous fresh & very flavoursome, well presented & served with a smile. Scones were amazing so lite.

Every time we have a party or a family get-together, we pick up two or three of B&T's quiches and everyone absolutely loves them. They cut into 16 portions and are deep and firm and scrumptious. On the rare occasion there's anything left over, they freeze well, too - £20 for 16 portions is very fair - I recommend you try them!

This is terrible. They sell the sandwiches which are unappetising. Fourth time the same sandwiches. Won't be purchasing again?

Agradable aquí y el personal del bar saben lo que hacen, así que es más caro que la bebidas estándar. Pero happy hours con frecuencia tan buena relación calidad-precio si compramos entonces. Encantadora mezcla de sabores diferentes, bien mezclados. Pero cuando no hay un vacío, y cuando hay mucha gente es llena, así es difícil conseguir el derecho de tiempo :) favorito antes de una comida!!

Lovely village pub, good atmosphere. Great service! The food is lovely, well portioned and very reasonably priced!
