My colleagues and I dined as a party of 6 and enjoyed our food. I ordered the pulled pork burger which was excellent, really tasty and slightly spiced. The chopping board it was served on was ridiculous though (I wish this trend would end), a burger with juices and grease dripping out does not pair well with this! I ordered the parfait for desert and as with my main, it was excellent. It tasted fresh and full of flavour. My main complaint tonight was the extremely slow service. I’d guess our mains took 30 minutes to arrive while the desert took around 15. Despite the snail like pace of the kitchen the staff serving were very polite and friendly.

Stopped off at the hotel for a night and fancied a bit of dinner. We ordered some fairly standard meals in fish & chips and a steak flatbread. We weren’t really expecting the food to be as nice as it was. There’s fish and chips and then there’s great fish and chips, this was the latter. All the food was cooked perfectly and was served hot and fresh. Really pleasantly surprised, simple food but done to a really high standard.

The venue was booked for a gathering of family and friends. The service provided was excellent, the staff was there when we needed them but invisible the rest of the time, just as it should be. The food arrived, mainly finger food, some hot, but definitely tasty. I would recommend the restaurant for this sort of lunch time event. Many thanks to the staff. Sorry no pictures, didn't have my camera.

I went here for my fiancés birthday with his and my mum. The food was outstanding, presented really well, and tasted delicious! The staff were also very friendly and attentive. The waiter went above and beyond to ensure we had a great evening, finding a desert we have had there before and loved but that wasn't on the menu that evening. The wine was also great quality. A lovely atmosphere! I would definitely go again.

Had dinner there twice while staying at the hotel Food quality is good although the choice is rather narrow and price is high for the quality/quantity still you can find something that will please you for breakfast, it was ok - not huge choice but good the park outside makes it a nice place if there with the family but the dining room really is noisy

Eden restaurant within the Pinewood Hotel always delivers excellent food. It is a local gem and an all round place to eat out. This year I have organised the wake of my late father-in-law in July when it was hot but the outdoor space allowed people to sit outside un the sun or stay inside in the shade. The buffet food was plentiful and delicious and the staff attentive and discreet. My second visit this year was to celebrate my mother's 90th Birthday with family and again the food was very good and they catered well for our party which ranged from 6 to 90! My final visit was to attend their joiner party on 19 December which was excellent! From the outset you felt like a celebrity as you walked down the red carpet into the flash of the cameras and then to mingle with your welcome drink before being seatedin the heated marquee and it's myriad of lights that seemed like a night sky. It was a lovely, sparkly setting to have dinner which was brought out promptly and was delicious whether you had the beef, turkey or salmon. Full marks to the chef who catered for up to 200 people and the staff who delivered it so pleasantly. I would recommend the restaurant, the setting (it has lovely gardens), the professional staff and the rooms are well priced for an over night sojourn.

We decided to dine in this 'Rosetta' awards restaurant as we were staying at the hotel (which we wouldn't recommend either). Half way through my Thai Chicken Curry, I noticed that the chicken was raw!! The waiter could not have been more apologetic. I was unwell that evening and the following days. The manager contacted me, but was extremely unhelpful and insinuated that I was ill for another reason. He had no manners or courtesy. Food hygeine clearly isn't top priority.

Third visit (for a family birthday meal) & this time was perfect. The food has always been good & is excellent value for money. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated & smart but feels very relaxed in atmosphere. Also if you have kids they will love the toilets! In the past there have been some small service issues (wrong menu for example) but I always happy to forgive errors if they are dealt with in a professional manner, which they have been & the staff we have encountered have all been excellent. This time though everything was spot on including the weather, which meant we were able to move to the lovely garden area for desert / birthday cake with tea & coffee.Certainly would recommend this place & we will use again.

This was a terrific event and a bargain at the price charged ( £27.50 including welcome cocktail and a 2 course meal ). The band were great and those who weren't prompted to get up and dance were singing along and waving their hands in the air. A great party atmosphere. The main course chicken supreme was tasty and well presented and the cheesecake dessert was to die for.

I booked a table for a party of 9 (all family) for a function night last night at the Pinewood. We had been before for a Xmas Party when the food in particular had been excellent, so were expecting good things. We weren't let down! The food again was top notch, beautifully succulent Chicken Supreme served with an abundance of gravy along with a Potato Dauphinoise which couldn't be bettered and some al dente green beans and a selection of other veg. This was followed by an individual cheesecake with a trio of sauces, including a mango and kiwi fruit varieties. Top marks once again for the food and my compliments to the chef and kitchen team - you work marvels given the number of people you are cooking for (it was a full house again of perhaps 200 people?).Music was provided by a Beatle tribute act (Imagine....The Beatles). They were cracking! Paul kept up the repartee throughout the evening and got the crowd going. They really were an excellent party band and I think the whole crowd would love to see them back at the Pinewood later this year (Management - please note!).A very enjoyable evening had by all, including the lady who was enjoying her 75th birthday celebration with her family and friends! We shall be keeping our eyes peeled for any future events at the Pinewood and booking early. Thank you staff at the Pinewood!

Attended the Pinewood Hotel in a small family group of 7 on the Saturday before Xmas. The Black & White themed "joiners party" i.e. xmas dinner party nite for local companies, was discounted from the usual £39.50 to £22.12 (on the 22nd Dec!).The venue was done out nicely, making best use of a marque. A dancefloor was laid in the bar area and the tables were nicely decorated in the B&W theme.THe food was the best I have ever had at a xmas dinner (and I've had a few in my 50+ years!). A goats cheese, pine not and honey & pear salad starter was followed by a braised beef dish, which had two lean slabs of the most tender beef imagineable on tope of a base of mash with celeriac and carrots chips. The whole was drenched in a very tasty sauce. I would happily have paid the full £40 for this quality of food, but at the discounted price, it was a real bargain.Following the puddings, a video-jock played a selection of music through to 1 am.They are doing a couple of theme nights in January (Michael Jackson one night and the Beatles the following week), and we have booked for the Beatles all ready.Well done the staff of the Pinewood, looking forward to the next event!P.S. Sunday lunch is a tasty treat as well!

After careful consideration it was decided to have my mother's 70th birthday celebration at the Pinewood Hotel. My experience from start to finish was second to none. My initial contact was with Libby in bookings. She accommodated every change to the arrangements requested and could not do enough to assist. I was allowed to speak directly with the chef in order to accommodate all dietary needs. A screen and equipment for music were provided. On the day we were greeted by the manager, John and the staff. The room had been prepared and mirrored a wedding reception. It was superb. The politeness and assistance given to our party can not be expressed. Every wish was granted with ease. It would be fair to say that in my experience of this hotel was fantastic and I would not hesitate to visit the venue again. Many thanks to all of the staff. Regards Wendy

The smell of dirty/stale oil was the first thing that greeted me on entering the reception. The greeting from the waiting staff was equally poor. Pointed in the direction of the bar my party was left with no chairs to sit on ,no offer of a drink and no offer of taking our coats. Not a good start. To be fair the service got a little better, but not much. The menu was not up to hotel restaurant standard although the food was well cooked and presented...i had a burger ? which was delicious.

We won a sunday lunch meal for 4 in the summer and visited in October 2012. We were slightly delayed so half of our party had arrived and were seated. We were greeted by the man on reception and our booking confirmed and led to our table. The service was prompt and our orders for drinks and subsequent food order taken quickly. The starters arrived swiftly after and were all beautifully presented and tasted good, we had a variety from tomato and mozzerella salad duck terriane and mackeral pate. The mains were also well presented we all chose the salmon which I personally thought a little on the small side with potatoes and green beans, I felt the dish lacked any moisture and asked for tartare sauce this was provided. I did notice other salmon dishes to other tables had a herb butter on the top of the salmon, but we had eaten by then, it seemed odd that all 4 of our dishes didn't have any butter! Again service prompt and dessert order taken and served. One lacking point was the lack of follow up visits, our meal was free but the drinks were not but we were only asked once during the meal - close to the start for more drinks! We weren't asked if we wanted coffees or anything and in the end got up to pay the bill at the bar. The staff didn't really interact with us outside of taking the order no more and no less. That aside a very pleasant meal in nice surroundings and will go again if in that location.

Eating here as we were staying at attached hotel (pinewood) overnight. Not somewhere I would normally choose with 2 young children in tow, but it was handy. Partner said chicken Thai curry was bland & a little dry. Salmon was good & a nice selection of reasonably priced children's meals. The usual items available like chicken nuggets, but salads & other slightly out of the norm children's meals available too, which my son loved. Deserts nice too. Don't expect massive portions, but overall the food ok, but would expect a little better for price. Cheese & biscuits at 8.50, definately not worth the money. 2 course meal for 4 plus 2 x soft drinks 7 x alcoholic drinks over 100 pounds. Service charge added on automatically. Large wines provided & charged for despite asking for small.Waiters were pleasant, but not at all attentive considering it was a non-busy weekday early evening. never even came to check meal was ok. Waited a long time for meal & deserts when not even busy.Saving grace was the nice, relaxing, outdoor setting on a lovely summers evening. Shame about the noise from the busy road running alongside though.

My birthday treat was a meal at the Eden. It was certainly memorable. Others were seated, ate and left while we waited for our starters. The tuna nicoise salad was tasteless with many common elements missing, while the soup of the day claimed to be leek and potato but without the leek and potato. Our main courses followed rather too swiftly. The sea bream was just about cooked OK, but the olive oil mash dominated the plate, and the chorizo and roast red pepper were both raw and cold, ruining the meal further. The braised belly of pork was tough and fatty, the spiced red cabbage was mush, the caramelised apple was raw quaters of apple coated in toffee, while the pancetta was an over-cooked thick rasher of streaky bacon. The whole meal was inedible, and I left it. The waiter was clearly embarrassed, and agreed with my comment that the chef was having a bad day - I had watched him for the entire evening and he was clearly not a happy man. We left without risking dessert, yet the waiter was extremely reasonable about our bill, and if we return for a second try it will be entirely due to him.

We booked a table in the restuarant of this hotel believing it to be of a high standard and were totally disapointed! On booking the table we were not told there was to be a masked ball on the grounds that night with music booming all night. The music I could just about handle but what was really off putting were the very drunk people coming straight out of that party and into the restuarant to grab a curry and chips (we sat in fear that the boy parked oposite us was going to throw his night back up at any time!). The menu choices were very disapointing, and the food when it arrived was hot but not of a very good quailty. The services was just terrible all night-food slammed onto tables, no once asked if the meal was any good, had to pour our own drinks, the waitress ignored at least 3 questions I asked and had absoultly no idea what she was serving us, in fact her skills were totally laughable and she was not worth the 10% service charge you feel forced into paying! (they dont present a bill with the bill for food and the bill for service where you can delete it). I can honestly say we will never go back to this hotel/restuarant.

We arrived at the Pinewood Hotel tired and it was after 8 PM. We looked and the menu and figured the price and offerings would work. We ordered pizza and that was it for food and it was pretty good. We were not wanting leftovers so ate all the pizza. The cost for a 10-12" pizza was about 13 pounds, and I don't know if that is a good price for higher quality pizza. My wife's olive and goat cheese pizza was perhaps literal as it was noticeably light on those toppings. My only beef was the beer selection was not representing much for local options. Stella Artois, Guiness, you know...the big boys. It was my last night in England and I was hoping for a cask ale or something I can't get in the United States.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff. The croissants are nice but not perfect, they need a little more bite. We gave them 6/10. The coffee was a bit disappointing, only 5/10. Great to see Monmouth beans used, but to be completely honest, the finished product is a level below independent coffee shops in London. The ratio of milk to coffee and water to coffee were off in our flat white and black americano, respectively. Still, nice place and I hope if they read this review they can take the comments constructively, because Beaconsfield needs a good independent coffee shop and we're counting on you!

Quite busy for a Wednesday lunchtime, but space enough for the 4 of us. Ordered 1 x fish & Chips, 1 x Scampi & Chips & 1 x Fish pie which was shared by 2 (to be honest more than enough). All delicious and plates cleared. We followed with 3 x Apple Crumble & Ice cream (as opposed to custard) but when requested were more than happy to provide cream as well. AND 1 x Ice cream - I just needed something sweet, a scoop of vanilla & salted caramel . . . job done. All beautifully presented, but sadly I have no photo's as I wanted to eat, not photograph!
