The best restaurants serving British food in Hayling West Havant South East

Walked away. Looks like it’s setup in a council house. Drab exterior unfortunately put us off of even going in. Can’t comment on food as a result.

Too much of a scramble to take food from buffet as there were no clear ways to queue. Food was of good standard with quite wide choice of dishes.

Popped in a few times for breakfast, drinks and ice creams. Perfectly situated for stopping off on walks up and down the beach, reasonably priced, and a friendly welcoming service. Would recommend!

Lunch today for two of us. EXCELLENT food service and price. We had roast chicken dinner which was superb, served so quickly that we expected to have been microwaved but it wasn’t. A plate full of meat, roast potatoes and vegetables in our opinion all cooked to perfection. Well done Yew Tree

Brilliant place. Good decent, honest food. Had some lovely breakfast sandwiches and hot drinks. Friendly and welcoming staff. Would recommend!

I have never been ripped off as bad as this place. Cheesy chips, chips £3.50 plus £2 for the cheese, I will never go here again, and nothing will change if people continue to pay, did see one family man walk back in and demand his money back..

The West Town Inn is a lovely pub with interesting photos on the walls and the decor was nicely done. All staff were lovely. The garden is pleasant to sit in and interesting things to see and a lovely play area for children.

Well where do I start.....! We ordered 2 adult vegan meals, 1 children's vegan meal, 1 adults burger meal and 1 meat free carvery. The meat free option at the carvery was 2 yorkshire puddings (?) It was all only luke-warm and very bland. The vegan burgers arrived with bacon in them. We sent them back and were told that it would be another 15 minutes to get fresh burgers. The children's meal was left on the counter and not brought over so we collected it ourselves. When the fresh vegan burgers arrived they were served with a side on coleslaw in mayonnaise. At the end of our meal we had to go and ask for the children's ice lolly which took another 10 mins to arrive. It wasn't particularly busy time as there were lots of empty tables. This was very disappointing as we had had a very nice meal there 2 days before. I will not be returning!

We ordered two Flat Iron Steak, two Fish’n Chips and one Pie of the day. The service was really friendly and the food came quickly and was absolutely delicious. Also the Treakle Pie and the Apple and Plumb with custard was an absolute treat! The view was great and we will recommend this Inn to everyone we know! The view from the restaurant is amazing, we will recommend this restaurant to everyone. We hatten das Steak, die Fish’n’Chips und eine Pastete. Das Essen kam schnell und war köstlich. Das Steak wurde je nach satiere personale Schmack. The view was very nice and the service was very helpful and nett. Very helpful!

Fantastic Sunday lunch, its our go-to place for a decent Roast. Always good service - the staff are superb. Thank you and see you soon!

Booked a table by email 1 month ago , and received confirmation of that email Arrived on Mother’s Day, And we weren’t even on the list for a table, So this lady who was organising the seating decided that she was gonna stick us right by the door and oncoming people traffic which to me is not acceptable so we complained saying that we did book this four weeks ago and the reply I got was it doesn’t matter when you booked it , so I didn’t like the attitude of this person. It’s like she didn’t wanna be there actual fact most of the staff in the restaurant that day apart from a couple didn’t even have a smile on their face , Mother’s Day meal was very disappointing. We had the triple roast and the meat was tough and dry and And tasted reheated as did the roast potatoes, so £107 later for our customand not happy at all not be visiting there again.
