Very poor service and portions today .

Awful would avoid at all costs !! Waited an hour for two coffees, had eaten and paid for the food and still waited an extra fifteen minutes for the coffees now in takeaway cups. The food was awful, my vegan sister was served a meal that on the menu did not include cheese but did on arrival so was inedible. Eggs Benedict served on crumpets with lumps of ham, just terrible. Will never return truly awful.

Fantastic overnight stay at an independent hotel. Wanted for nothing and we’re well looked after by Kirsty. The full English over delivered and is highly recommended.

Dated, bed so uncomfortalble. You can hear everything from rooms above and surrounding. Limited channels on tv. Difficulty parking near to hotel

Sadly this hotel has now closed and is being transformed into a dental surgery . It will be sadly missed after years of providing good family wholesome meals coupled with great and personal service. Thanks to all concerned.

Terrible!! Took an hour and a half for delivery on breakfast.. sausage was like cardboard..cheap quality.. the ‘scrambled’ egg was a boiled egg cut in to pieces. Very overpriced!! We WONT be returning.

Always enjoy the food and atmosphere in here, food is good and price is reasonable. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Ordered cod, large chips & saveloy. Batter on the cod was incredibly dark on the outside and undercooked on the inside. The cod itself was swimming in oil and had puddles and drips in the paper. The chips seemed re-fried and the portion was size was abysmal for the price with slight taste of raw potato on the thicker ones. Saveloy was nice but I suppose you can't mess up warming something up.

Absolutely integral part of the seafront on the Solent. Been here 30+ years.

Went for Sunday lunch. Positives. Attentive service, very clean, spacious and relaxed atmosphere. The starters and desserts were very good. Negatives. Went for a Sunday roast but Meat, potatoes and Yorkies a real let down. Beef tough, potatoes cold, yorkies overcooked. Also asked staff if they could order us a local taxi... no!! Despite spending nearly £200 and leaving a tip. Would go again for a drink, possibly food in the evening but avoid if for a Sunday roast dinner.

Went to lunch for my partner’s birthday (pre-notified as a special occasion). Main course of Turkey abysmal. Over cooked, vegetables boiled to death. Hake, which I had, dry, as if it had sat on a warming trolley for a long time. We enquired as to timing re main courses which had not appeared and this seemed to annoy them. No effort made re birthday at all. I ordered a brandy that appeared in an egg cup sized glass. Asked for a brandy glass and received a whisky tumbler instead. Not the biggest deal, but details matter. For the price it was, as the title says, disappointing as to food quality and service. We will not go again.

Amazing pub with a friendly warm atmosphere and incredible food. Me and my sister have been here quite a lot recently as we're always so happy with the service and food. Would definitely recommend.Five stars all round 👌🏼

Upon arrival was asked to sit outside which is fair enough if they’re busy inside. Ordered food at the table and after a 45 minute wait for some heated up meals was told that food is at least an hour wait. Seems like something we should have been told beforehand, but obviously not. 1 hour 10 minutes later the starter chicken wings came out without the blue cheese dip. Told the cutlery and napkins were inside only to be told “that’s just greedy” for taking a few napkins. Service is shocking to say the least, fair enough if you’re busy but a bit of clarity wouldn’t go a miss. Still waiting on the mains as I’m writing this, won’t hold my breath that they’re complete either. Moody staff, the two brothers in Southampton was a much, MUCH better sizzling pub chain experience. Would NOT come back here again.

Staff that have worked hard yet under pressure... just to make money for a owner that doesn't care. Very sad

Newly reopened with some new staff and a new layout. Staff coped extremely well and were friendly a cheerful throughout. Food was good tasting and good value.
