What a wonderful building, fantastic upstairs function room and overall amazing staff. We booked for a post wedding party. The whole experience was a pleasure. Jake (the owner, I believe) is so friendly, chilled and accommodating. Nothing was to much trouble, he just goes with the flow. We were allowed access to prep the room early before the party and return the next day after the party to remove/dismantle our fixtures/lights etc. All of our guests loved the room, it has plenty of character, your own personal bar, toilets, screen to project pictures and food service area. We would definitely use it again for future party's or events. Big THANK YOU to Jake and his team, it was a wonderful night and you were all so accommodating and lovely.

Staff did their best but the wait was long and when it arrived it was cold and very poor. Been sitting around for awhile so was dried up. Staff did offer replacement but was past it by then. We had 4 tapas plates and it was only the kofta that was worth eating. Very disappointed

Stopped by just for a snack at lunchtime…wow! My husband had the fish finger sandwich, which was amazing, I had a really tasty chilli jacket potato, which came with the most beautiful side salad, and really creamy coleslaw Fabulous food, lovely staff and great vibe. Thank you!

Popped in here as it was listed as dog friendly and my mother and I had traveled to petersfield for a dog walk exploring the local lake and got hungry. So glad we did! What a lovely little pub! The gentleman holding down the fort acting as barman and waiter etc (I presume the Landlord!) was lovely and friendly, welcoming and kind- none of that small pub for locals atmosphere at all! I got chatting with some of the regulars and it seems to be a very well loved and well used local for many but one you can step in to as an outsider and be happily welcomed. Great selection of drinks and it was lovely to see they stock the non alcoholic Asahi! Never had that behind a bar before and I was very glad to see it. The food was lovely, the chips were cooked to perfection and the meze bowl was flavourful and wonderfully put together. I always worry about meze bowls being bland but the flavours were beautiful and very well balanced to compliment each other. We are already looking forward to coming back now that we have 'discovered' this wonderful little gem!

Having heard that The George was under new management, we decided to visit to try the most important meal of the day. Breakfast. We loved the Italian ski vibe when we first entered. Started with a great coffee- super hot and of good quality. We both had the frittata ciabatta and were so pleased we did. Piping hot, seasoned to perfection and high quality ingredients. Service was great. Laid back (just as you want it on a Sunday morning) and friendly. We are already planning our next visit as the main menu looks amazing.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They don't seem to know what they are doing. I booked a double room with breakfast back in Feb 24 for the 15th June 2024. Unfortunately I had to cancel this and rebook for another date. Luckily I kept all correspondence relating to this because they called me on the 15th June to ask what time I was checking in. They didn't believe I had cancelled and said I would be charged. I sent them the confirmation twice before they agreed to not charge me. No apology though! I then got an email to say they were also cancelling my July booking because the price has increased and they wanted me to rebook at the higher price. I told them to shove it, there is a Premier inn down the road that was cheaper and way easier to book. Awful place.
