The best restaurants serving British food in Aylesbury Vale South East

We came across this little gem when out for a walk in Wendover. Although the outside seating allocation was full due to the lovely weather, we easily found a spot inside. We both ordered the large breakfast, which arrived promptly. For the price, you got a very good portion. The black pudding was very tasty, the hash browns were perfectly crispy, the bacon was meaty with a nice margin of fat for flavour; also, perfectly cooked eggs, well cooked sausages etc. The food was piping hot too. Our only criticism would be the use of semi-skimmed milk. Recent studies show that full-fat dairy products are protective against diabetes, obesity and heart disease. Large numbers of people and cafes are switching back to whole milk. I recommend you use whole milk too for health and flavour reasons, as it makes coffee etc. taste much creamier and you need less of it!

Lovely place full of friendly atmosphere + pet friendly. Would recommend an occasional or regular visit without any hesitation.

First time buying f&c’s from these guys. Beautiful fresh fish, crispy batter and great chips. Good portion size too. Definitely recommend. Aces!

We visited The Boot for some small bites for lunch, and we were not disappointed. We ordered some bar snacks and they were absolutely beautiful, the calamari was perfectly cooked and seasoned, the pork belly had lots of meat which is a surprise as most places just have pork belly which consists of mainly fat! The inside is beautifully done, giving a lovely pub feel. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I were away for our anniversary and had a wonderful dinner at the The Nut Tree Inn enjoying the high class tasting menu. The service was exceptional and the wine pairings were a delight. The restaurant feels relaxed and rustic combining Michelin star level dining with a comfortable country pub feel. We returned the following day for lunch before heading home as we had such a delightful evening we couldn't resist returning for another meal. The steak and fish were top notch, beautifully prepared and utterly delicious. Have recommended to family and friends.

Been to a fair few farm shops but this one is amazing they have everything and decent prices especially for eggs

Fantastic all round, beautiful nights sleep on. Very comfortable bed, very little external noise allowing a peaceful stay. Exceptional service and food, highly recommend!!

I pop in here once a month or so. The food is always cooked well. Price seems really fair. I always have the same order so they usually just start cooking it when they see me.

A lovely village pub, with a welcoming atmosphere. Sunday lunch was amazing. Plentiful and tasty. Even managed one Chef Adam’s homemade chocolate torte with Coconut sorbet. Waiting staff were very attentive. Recommend this cosy pub for a Sunday roast. Well done to Aaron, Rachel, Adam and the team for a lovely afternoon.
