The pack horse is very convenient to meet our friends for dinner. I wouldn't say it is a great eating house but usually ok. I choose for a starter the french onion soup, which I can only describe as tasteless and overpriced. It was definitely not like any french onion soup I had had anywhere else, it was meant to come with a sourdough roll but was replaced by 2 small pieces of dry bread. My fish was well cooked but the chips were again tasteless as were the mushy peas. On top of this our server had absolutely no interest in serving us. In the past the the staff have been very good so perhaps this was just a bad day to come and eat. I guess they had been busy as they were also running out of mains (pies and crispy beef salads), but we had to order them to find out rather than be told in advance. It's a shame as the pub is very well located for us, we might have to look around for somewhere else to meet up.

We had a delicious Sunday roast with the best horseradish we have tasted for a long time although it is more expensive than other pubs in the area. The only thing that let it down were the desserts, the pineapple was smothered in so much granola it was cloying to eat and the coconut mousse was a couple of tiny blobs of a tasteless cream, the coulis was a drizzle and also covered by the dry granola - the waffle was dry and hard to cut plus it had dark chocolate sauce covering it which wasn't in the description otherwise we wouldn't have ordered it. The waiting staff are a credit to you.

I visit the white hart very often for meals with my family and have always been happy. However my last visit I have been left disappointed. We had ordered our drinks which was 2 bottles of wine between our table, and after 10 minutes of ordering a manager came over to ID myself and another. I don’t have an issue with being ID but why 10 minutes after ordering the drinks? I ordered the steak burger and chips and received my chips cold, let the waitress know to which she took my plate. She returned 2 mins later with no apology and as if the food had been put in the microwave. While we were eating out main all the lights in the pub had switched off. I would assume a power cut but by the laughter of the staff at the bar and them saying “turn the lights back on” made me assume this was no mistake. Again no apologies just laughter by the staff. Very disappointing, especially after coming so often and never having an issue

We stopped off in Arundel and called in too Belinda's for lunch. We had been there before and we knew it did good food and was dog friendly as we were travelling with our our 2 dogs. Firstly the service was brilliant, very friendly and attentive, and our dogs were also made welcome being offered dog beer aka water! I went for the Belnda's Breakfast which was delicious and I felt was really good value and was just what I needed to refuel. There is a nice, but small, outdoor seating area, although we sat inside on the day. There is a pay and display car park directly behind Belinda's and you access the cafe direct from the car park via a rear door which is clearly marked as Belinda's. If we are passing through Arundel again we will be sure to stop by again.

We went in for food but they didn't serve food on the day we went in, that's fine we'll get some drinks then go out for food, we got a drink each and they both tasted a bit flat and dirty like the lines needed cleaning

Excellent sports bar, fantastic beer and friendly, cheery service. Best bar in Tonbridge.

We moved to the area a couple of months ago and this is now our local pub which we absolutely love! We cannot thank the staff enough for their hospitality, especially Ryan who is an absolute gem! Such an asset to the pub. Service is brilliant and they cannot do enough for their customers. The grub is typical pub food but it’s always quick. Overall just an all-rounder. Great selection of drinks, plenty of space to have a big family meal or just a couple of drinks with your partner on a weeknight. Totally recommend!

We visit the Old World Tearoom and Gardens every year, and it never disappoints. This time, both my partner and I had the strawberry cream tea, which was absolutely delicious. The scones were fresh, served with Tiptree strawberry jam and Rhodda’s clotted cream—such a perfect combo. The tea was nice and strong and got a few cups each out of our pot. We also got the children’s tuna sandwich for our little boy, which he really enjoyed. The tearoom has a cosy, welcoming atmosphere, and the garden is beautiful—perfect for a relaxing afternoon. Always a highlight of our visit to Godshill.
