The best restaurants serving British food in New Brighton Wirral North West

Third visit at Bistro 115 and first time impelled to write a review as such a great place. Food excellent: I had Seafood Saganati and Steve chose Mike’s Curry. Both delicious. The dessert menu is amazing and difficult to choose just one. The ambience and service is just pure quality. I have already booked again for family in February. The separate bar is so cosy and ideal for a pre meal drink. I’m so lucky to live so close to such a friendly, high quality eating venue.

Lovely and clean I took my granddaughter and we enjoyed the delicious sausages She had them with chips and I has the mini breakfast Cooked hot and fresh to order and staff very friendly and kind We will definitely be returning

Coffee hot chocolate and freshly baked scones with jam and clotted cream just delicious. Sat outdoors and watched world go by. Lovely little cafe nice staff highly recommended

Excellent restaurant , food was divine the ambience was beautiful , quirky and chilled . The hospitality was second to none from Pauline and Ali we had the best time for my 43rd birthday ! I’m super picky as I’ve ran fine dining restaurants and being an ex chef I see all food experiences in a very critical lense. It the best meal and experience I’ve had in a long long time and I can not wait to go again ! The main courses are generous and cooked to perfection . Once again thankyou to all at Rockwood Bistro my fiancé and I loved it all !

I and a friend popped in today for lunch, unfortunately not a nice experience. The pub was practically empty the whole time we were there, The food arrived & didn't look appealing! My fish was mainly batter, also quite greasy + tasteless, the homemade chips looked awful but I tried them, again unappealing.. The drink I purchased (Draught cider)was flat + tasted old.. only saw one member of staff working, he was polite + friendly, however didn't ask if we enjoyed our food! Needless to say we won't be returning to this establishment.

Superb choice of delicious meals , tapas dishes and sausage butties ! It is dog friendly , has a great atmosphere, lovely views and a great bar.

Wonderful delicious value for money food and customer service Breakfast was fresh and hot plus refillable coffees!!!

A simple lunch and it was excellent for its price. Nothing is expensive on the whole menu and wasn't expecting a lot but it was really good. Even had thick white sliced bread which I haven't seen for years - nothing wrong with it ! I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my visit - taken by friends and the best bit was seeing the seats off an old Mersey Ferry - ace.

This chippy has gone down hill massively over the past couple of years. Has it changed ownership? The chips were tasteless and the fish no better. The place looks like it could do with a good clean too. Living in Cheshire, I have always recommended this place to friends but won’t be any longer until improvements are made.

Drinks are very reasonably priced. Food is hit and miss. Tastes good but mainly served luke warm due to sitting under lamps and not served quick enough. Tables were left with dirty glasses on for ages and table cleaning was definitely lacking.

We (two of us) visited at 15.40 for a coffee/tea and a cake cost £14.10 which felt a bit expensive it was served in takeaway polystyrene containers which didnt impress us. Thought possibly cafe myst be closing at 4pm so accepted the situation but no cafe closed at 5pm. Very unexceptional and environmentally unfriendly experience wont be repeating.

My last visit a few years back with my family left much to be desired regarding the food quality. However, today's experience was utterly different. I enjoyed lovely fish and chips, featuring a generous portion of fish and crispy and hearty chips. The service was pleasant, and witnessing your efforts cleaning an already immaculate-looking establishment was pleasing. The staff was courteous and amiable towards my grandson. Continue on this path; you're doing a splendid job. This Costa is the worst I’ve ever been to. The staff are dreadful, don’t care if they burn your food, talk to their friends and ignore you as a customer. We started going every week as in new Brighton on business but have moved our custom to the Starbucks round the corner. I’ve complained to Costa directly as it’s so bad and they’ve yet to contact me about my complaint - two weeks and counting! Please try other places as this is awful
