I get my lunch every saturday from Lisa at the Ormkirk market, always tastes lovely, and served with a smile, love her passion for food.

This is one of our favorite restaurants to go to for a meal out. The food was absolutely delicious and well presented. It was a real treat! The offer menu that they run on certain days is great value for money, with a wonderful range of dishes available. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. I hope we will be back again soon.

We stopped off at The Rufford Arms on the A59 just south of Preston on way from Cairnryan ferry to Stafford motorcycle show on Friday for lunch. The rest of the gang were so impressed with the quality of both the food and the staff that we stopped for dinner on the way back . Any of the Fish dishes is highly recommended, as was the Sunday roast. There was so much motorcycle talk over dinner that we talked ourselves into staying for breakfast, which again surpassed our expectations , after all, a cosy bed and a shower beats the campervan any day ! ! ! Went to miller & Carter in Aughton last night for husbands birthday. Long time since we last went but will definitely be going again soon. Food was delicious. Our waitress Mel was very attentive & knowledgable about the menu. Overall we had an excellent evening

Visiting my daughter in Ormskirk but this meant a 4 hour journey from the South East. We obviously arrived late, hitting traffic on Good Friday but we were met by Freida who was lovely. The room was welcoming, clean and a home from home. Me and my son went into nearby Burscough for something to eat and I can definitely recommend Lost and Found for an amazing meal at a great price, parking was nearby. I would recommend booking online as it was popular with locals. There are also a lot of other places to eat. We stayed two nights, the breakfast was lovely with a lot of choice and the staff were so welcoming and friendly. I can't recommend this place enough. There is a camping area if you prefer that. Will definitely book again for our next visit.

Lovely country setting. I only experienced the outdoor seating. Nice food and warm ambience. Poached eggs perfectly cooked, but should have been a little hotter.

Food and drinks were great as usual. All the staff were helpful, we got served by Antony who was lovely. Would highly recommend!!

With no water in our village due to an accident and damaged pipeline, cooking at home wasn't so appealing so we headed off to our favourite bar and restaurant, the Corner House. The place was busy and technically full as many people had the same idea, but the staff rallied round to make room for us and despite them being run off their feet, the food and service was still absolutely fantastic. Congratulations to Luke and the rest of the staff, you really pulled it out of the bag... and this is exactly why we go back there time and time again. We couldn't recommend it more, 5 stars every time.

Was really looking forward to lunch here, but I was sadly disappointed. The drinks order was incorrect as was the lunch order itself. I would say that the food was mediocre and nothing outstanding. Also encountered being presented with the bill just minutes after you've ordered! Not impressed!

We crossed the Pennines yesterday to visit the gorgeous Michelin restaurant, Sō-lō. Situated in the village of Aughton, Ormskirk— within easy reach of Manchester and Liverpool. An amazing tasting menu experience with some fantastic ingredients. The menu we enjoyed from chef Tim Allen showcased some fantastic dishes, all enjoyed in a modern, relaxed, and informal setting with excellent service. The open kitchen is a real treat too. There were some truly amazing dishes today, but the Herdwick Hogget was exceptional. As well as the tasting menu, they also offered a 3-course lunch menu, which we can’t wait to try next time.
