I get my lunch every saturday from Lisa at the Ormkirk market, always tastes lovely, and served with a smile, love her passion for food.

Exceptional. Everything we had was excellent. Great service. Great beer. We had a party of 10 and all the food was very tasty. Very impressive indeed. Delicious spicy honey wings, scallops with truffle, parsnip purée and black pudding, pork belly Bon Bon’s, everything was just brilliant. Thank you.

The location of the restaurant very nice with a lake as you pull into the area. The service was fantastic from the first minute. There was never a moment where we felt like we had been forgotten about. Water was constantly filled up and kept on eye on for running out. The menu was fish and meat based. I had the quail with mushroom for starter, and a roasted monkfish dish as my main. Both were very well put together and very tasty. There were some snack dishes also (The focaccia and butter was very nice). We finished with some desserts which wasn't overly sweet and delicious. All in all, the food amount was just about right. It was about £100 per person for the 3 courses and a couple of the cocktails. You could spend less if you skip the drinks and desserts at about £70 per person. But might as well get the full experience while you are there. Toilets 10/10 - Immaculate and nice smelling soap

Went for the first time today, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, the menu had good choices, and the food was lovely and well presented and the staff where very friendly and nice, will be going back 😊

Quite often visit for lunch with friends but we would have liked hot drinks after our meal sadly, we left without a hot drink as they don’t offer decaffeinated tea which one of our friends can only drink. But they offer decaffeinated coffee.

Lovely food. Lovely staff. The roads leading to it are badly potholes though, so buckle up before you set off.

Ordered tie full breakfast and it was the nicest we have had for some time. Friendly and welcoming. Will definitely call again.

Mixed grill absolutely on point, friendly and prompt service. I didn't see anything on the desert menu I fancied so Pam asked what I liked and made me a custom desert!

Sunday menu was really tasty, great value. Staff were very friendly. And the food came out quickly despite the restaurant being fully booked (which is a promising sign)! Lovely to sit outside, and eat and drink in the sun. Would recommend, it was ace!

With no water in our village due to an accident and damaged pipeline, cooking at home wasn't so appealing so we headed off to our favourite bar and restaurant, the Corner House. The place was busy and technically full as many people had the same idea, but the staff rallied round to make room for us and despite them being run off their feet, the food and service was still absolutely fantastic. Congratulations to Luke and the rest of the staff, you really pulled it out of the bag... and this is exactly why we go back there time and time again. We couldn't recommend it more, 5 stars every time.

Needed another drink after visiting Rufford Old Hall and on the way back to the train station. Needs a signpost within the marina. Very comfortable, nicely decorated, good tea and coffee and the cakes looked awesome. The staff were very pleasant and super efficient. Location really nice - not much of a view if inside but on a warm day sit outside and gaze over the marina. Really nice.

Fantastic service and absolutely delicious food. First time visiting and will certainly be back. Overall a great experience - we visited for a family birthday and Sunday roast.
