I get my lunch every saturday from Lisa at the Ormkirk market, always tastes lovely, and served with a smile, love her passion for food.

My dining experience was not as enjoyable as I had hoped. I found the food to be underwhelming. In both dishes, an excessive amount of seaweed was used, and unfortunately, I found its flavour to be off-putting. While the portions were small, this was anticipated for a fine dining establishment. As this was my first experience at a Michelin-recommended restaurant, I had expected to encounter truly delicious food. Instead, I was presented with beautifully plated dishes that ultimately lacked flavour. Furthermore, We ordered the cheese board for an additional £6, only to discover that this would replace the dessert course. I reviewed the menu to confirm if this substitution was mentioned, but I could not find any indication of this policy. On a positive note, the service and location, along with all other aspects besides the food, were excellent.

Went for the first time today, I have to say I was pleasantly surprised, the menu had good choices, and the food was lovely and well presented and the staff where very friendly and nice, will be going back 😊

Food can sometimes be a little hit and miss. I had the lamb kebab and the lamb was tough, I wouldn't have this again. The gammon is lovely though. On the plus side the staff are always exceptionally professional and give a wonderful service. It does also have a lovely atmosphere.

Lovely food. Lovely staff. The roads leading to it are badly potholes though, so buckle up before you set off.

Collected a take away this evening and the food was great and the staff all really friendly.

Mixed grill absolutely on point, friendly and prompt service. I didn't see anything on the desert menu I fancied so Pam asked what I liked and made me a custom desert!

With no water in our village due to an accident and damaged pipeline, cooking at home wasn't so appealing so we headed off to our favourite bar and restaurant, the Corner House. The place was busy and technically full as many people had the same idea, but the staff rallied round to make room for us and despite them being run off their feet, the food and service was still absolutely fantastic. Congratulations to Luke and the rest of the staff, you really pulled it out of the bag... and this is exactly why we go back there time and time again. We couldn't recommend it more, 5 stars every time.

Annual family visit for the Festive Lunch. Staff are always friendly, table setting very Christmassy and well laid out, food was fabulous and cooked to perfection. We had pre-ordered dessert from the cabinet and they were very tasty. Christmas pudding was exceptional. Couldn't praise this place enough. Already looking forward to doing it all again in December 2025.

Modern styled restaurant clean and comfortable. Nice service and comprehensive menu. The food was beautifully presented and was hit and tasty. Scallops and fish tian for starters and the pan fried chicken for main. Everything was delicious matched with South African Shiraz. Highly recommended.
