We went to Inglenook farm in Rainford today A little disappointed that the lavender was not in bloom Also found it was more than 40 mins from Manchester and not really worth the visit The cafe was nice but had only cake and drinks available after 3 pm Didn’t really see any artisan shops either

We recently held my dad’s 90th birthday party at the Eccleston Arms and it was amazing! The staff were fantastic and helped to make the whole event really memorable. The food was very good and the price very competitive. It is a great venue for a gathering and I highly recommend it. We really enjoy going to the Eccleston Arms as it’s a great place for a quiet drink, a meal with friends or a larger family gathering. Lovely surroundings, great food and amazing staff. What more could you ask for?

Booked a table for 4 to celebrate my parents wedding anniversary. We had the carvery and as always it was very tasty. We all enjoyed our meals and even squeezed in dessert. Staff very polite and kept coming asking if we where ok and needed anything. Definitely be back.

I’ve been to the Thatto heath shop 3 or 4 times now, I only ever get fish chips and peas, although the fish is good and tasty and the chips are just chips nothing hard to get them right really ! What really bugs me is the size of the portions, the chips are a small shallow level tray full, the cod is one of the smallest pieces of fish I’ve ever seen served in a chippy, the mushy peas come in a equally mean shallow container, like I said the quality was good but it doesn’t justify price being charged, it was 30p short of £10 , ok fish is expensive , but chips are supposed to be “cheap as” it would be very expensive chippy tea for a average sized family.

We've been to this establishment many times and usually we have a lovely lady serve us,but today we had a gentleman possibly the mananger. On arrival we gavebour order and mentioned that we had a discount which we was told this no longer availible on breakfasts has we tried to speak and put to him our side he just talked over us. I asked for veg sausages,he said I will leave them at the counter(how on earth would we know if they where ready) we got our breakfast, went to make some toast we had to put ut through 5 times has it was just warm bread, then a piece got stuck so a lady came over and sortrd it for us. The guy who served us came and said actually brought over our veg sausages......OMG i've never seen anything like it,they was burnt, really crispy and taseless,if this was the manager then why would he let the kitchen serve such food,it was totalky unedible. Come on Lymewood.

Not very impressed with the Barn today. They have really let it go. It opened at 10am, we got there at 10.30am. It was freezing!!! Warmer outside!!! Ordered 2x toasted tea cake and coffees. It was cold and over cooked, butter frozen. How can you mess such an easy order up??? ☹️ The toilet had a full bin, come on. 😱
