Went in for breakfast which was very good. Service was excellent Jess really took care of us, nothing too much trouble, definitely coming back

Great spot! I will be booking everytime I'm working in the area. I was looked after by Clare. She was fab. Great room, spot on breakfast and friendly environment.

Stopped over having visited family, Great fun night in the bar, room could do with a bit of a feckle but on the whole it was tidy, warm and comfortable, evening meal was lovely, breakfast was even better,served by a wonderful lady, heard a Karen making a fuss but she’s probably a pro at doing so, but no complaints from us as we thought it was a brilliant stop over, you book a booking at a hotel with Bar and grill in the title you are bound to get a bit of noise.

Booked for 2 x people at 3:15pm. Got seated within 5 x mins of arriving but upon ordering that’s when things started to go wrong. No Turkey available on the Sunday roasts at 3pm ?? Maybe after 5 yes but it’s only been open 3 x hours. Anyway ordered something else only to be informed 10 x minutes later they have no curry or the chilli we ordered. I’m sorry but the last weekend of the month when most people get paid and having run out of food so early is unacceptable. This is down to bad planning by the chef or restaurant manager or both. They had nothing for vegetarians or vegans, claiming they had been busy (in 3 x hours of opening). Won’t be returning as this place isnt cheap and not to have food available on top of that simply isn’t worth the visit or re-visit. The waitress was embarrassed but polite,so that was a plus for them.

Well these guys think they are great !!! Clearly do not like honest feedback but here goes , I am sure the young lady today will be armed with her good reasons my expectation for a good nights sleep is overrated ! I was called in the morning of my appointment to be told to expect noise till 11pm , I asked what was I supposed to do with that feedback . And do the story begins. After a tough 5 hour drive I had a reasonable meal in the restaurant . I then made my way to my room circa 7:30 pm , shower and a bit of TV tired and had an early start . It was about that time the thumping and loud music started , I have recordings which I was happy to share but don’t think the management are interested as apparently the manager on the night came upstairs and listened and said it was ok !! ( I was told this by the manager who called today ) but he wasn’t paying for a nights sleep was he ? I was also told that old line , no one else complained , I saw an empty car park but was told it was fully booked so if that matters apparently I am the only one and therefore should be happy !? I was asked to feedback and I fedback but I’m guessing the complaint handling dept here have a tough luck school of thought , so tough luck it is! By the way the bathroom smelt of mould , there were wall attachments empty and hanging lopsided but if you liked the banging tunes downstairs the acoustics were good! Breakfast ok , staff lovely ( apart from the lady I spoke to on the phone who didn’t feel the need to believe me). All in all avoid at all cost if restful is what you require as clearly the disco with blow up toys takes priority !!

My husbands boss was over here on business from Belgium went to the Eccleston for dinner throughly enjoyable food was really good and the service was very good especially from Jess always had a smile. Will definitely recommend and be back.

Booked a table at 5pm for dining at 6.45pm. Arrived to find only 2 staff on duty, not their fault, they were run off their feet. Table next to us complained about meal arriving in drips & drabs & veg missing!! My meal if sizzling steak was hot & tasty but my husbands roast beef Sunday dinner was cold & the meat tough. As I waited to pay I went to the ladies & the toilet wouldn’t flush. On paying I complained about my husbands meal & the toilet. The young men were apologetic & polite & gave me a discount, I told them it wasn’t their fault, management clearly to blame for lack of staff my booking should never have been accepted knowing they didn’t have the staff.

Always a good time had in here.

Stayed overnight whilst up in the area for a funeral. Comfortable bed, room was clean, had everything I needed. Staff were fantastic and couldn’t do enough! Breakfast was delicious, really tasty. Car parking available. Beautiful outdoor patios for dining. I would definitely stay here again, I was impressed.

Awesome establishment .. Best tapas bar this side of med .. highly recommended by this ragged trousersd polanthrapist .. be back next week

The staff where lovely.. I booked bottomless brunch ... Scooby-Doo (is my knickname) it was well worth it...if you don't drive 🤦‍♂️although I drove there my brother was running late so sober as judge ... it's MY FAULT 4 NOT reading it right!!... it was awesome... they caterer to r needs and saved us money... book & go my experience was great (although I DID NOT read it properly) MY FAULT ....The staff especially 1 young lady ...who had the tree off life on her arm (sorry I forgot your name) and the young girl who was moving table's round with ...I think was in charge... my brother offered to help 😊 (they kindly declined) no both to us & apologize to for nothing... honestly in my opinion give it a whirle... for us we enjoyed it... I JUST CLICKED ON CALLED BOOKED IT .. thinking or maybe not tbf ... yet the staff a justified r needs as we where both driving...😔 x

Food great but felt a little ignored at times due to staff preparing the tables for an Abba event in the evening.

Been there today for Afternoon tea, On arrival shown to are table, We where asked did we want drinks and we did not asked for a jug of iced water 💦. Then she asked did we want tea or coffee with the food we ordered Tea great big pot come to us about 15mins layer seemed not so hot and when I wen to pour it was so weak I thin it had fainted 🤣 we had to go to the bar and ask for some more tea bags came back with another 2. We where not told what was on the sandwiches the ham sandwich was dry should have had condiments on the table as they needed something else on them. The cake selection was nice but heavy and dry a little pouring cream would have been nice. The service was not very good not once did a member of staff come over and ask how is your food is there anything else that you need we even had to ask for a fresh pot of tea which I would not normally have to do if your staff where trained to come and ask questions. It was a birthday celebration for myself and friend and just though it woul be nice to spend our money local but it will not happen again and to top it off I had to go and find someone to ask for the bill and even take it back to the bar not a oh thank you did you enjoy your afternoon tea or any friendliness from the staff except for one lady who took us to are seats her name was Ann thank you Ann. I would not recommend any of my friends to spend there money with you as I know I will not be back. Very dissiponted and hear is me thinking Best Western where a really good, looking after there customers. You can't get things right all the time.

We have had few experiences at the Eccleston arms and I can honestly say they was all amazing staff were great good was exceptional and atmosphere was amazing we even had our daughters christening there on 30th June 2024 and Anne and the staff went above and beyond for us and our guests we will be back without a doubt one of our favorite pubs to dine in

Took sister for birthday meal early evening, I had the best fillet steak I'd had in 20 years,it was cooked beautifully. Service was excellent price was a bit expensive but well worth the cost. Atmosphere was welcoming but not overbearing and not many customers in.Had an enjoyable evening.

A bar and grill place that is well appointed and fairly pleasant to grab a bite or a drink. An opportunistic late weekday visit for a hungry family brought us here. Service was friendly if a little amateurish. Drink choices rather mundane and an ok menu. Although food was rather calorific and nothing very inspiring it was much better than cheaper chain pubs. Prices for mains were mostly in the late teens so not amazing value. A perfectly fine spot, but don't expect to be wowed.

Food was lovely, staff were great and it's got a nice atmosphere, place looks well too, smart.

Blonde hair lady ( sorry didn't know her name) was very helpful when booking in. Booking .com messed up our booking with Eccleston Arms, but she immediately came to our rescue. Beds comfortable 😌 breakfast was excellent 😋 and dinner on the night was (lamb kebab) was exceptional. Would recommend, and will be going back to Liverpool was a great weekend. 👍liverpudlians very polite and happy 😊

First visit. Had the lunch menu. The bacon, black pudding and poached egg with pepper sauce was so tasty. For main - had fish goujons, chips, and mushy peas. The batter was perfect.

I booked a 50th birthday for my husband in the Steve Prescot suite. Everything about the evening was perfect from the decor and furnishings of the suite to the absolutely fantastic service we received throughout our stay. From the beginning of our stay to the warm welcome from Claire, the hotel room was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean to the service of Dean and his brilliant bar staff and Stephen the chef who catered our fantastic buffet in the evening. Highly recommended to eat, stay over night and hold a celebration for a loved one. You won’t be disappointed !

This was my first visit and certainly won't be my last. My friend treated me to Afternoon Tea to celebrate my 60th birthday. It has to be the best Afternoon Tea I have ever had. Everything was so fresh and tasty along with as much tea as we could drink. The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble especially as we hadn't advised our dietary requirements. Thank you!

Tried again today, and unfortunately still the same service wasn't great, and food was average at best 3 hours to get starters mains amd deserts. Food wasn't great. Chef has had a bad fall we were told and the kitchen simply couldn't cope. Shame

Probably the best bottomless brunch I have ever had. I came with friends as a daytime treat and was served by Clare. She made sure our glasses were never empty......... Always a good idea! Food was beautifully presented in a birdcage. Coming back for the saxophone evens in May. Would reccomend to anyone!

This has to be one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. The hospitality we received from Ann and her team with first class.

Where to start, the parking is great no issues there. The staff which I think is an insult to say because they are that friendly and welcome you just felt that you can stay and relax. You only have to ask and they are more than happy to help if they can. Knives and forks.. are good, Seating is lovely and the tables are the correct size. The decor I love. The smell it's not like a brewery, it smells clean. The food taste stunning, the proportion size omg it's big and it's such a shame we coundnt finish our meals because it is so nice with the big chips. The veg is cooked perfectly for me, not to crunchy and not to soft. We had one of our favourite cocktail expresso martini, there are not many places that have it has nice as this place, we would say on par as Leeds airport. I do like the fact that they have different events on and its worth asking about these. Now how long was the wait... today we didn't have to wait to be seated ok like 30 seconds if you want to be picky, as for the service not to long where you feel forgotten about and not to short where you feel your being rushed and just another number. To Eccleston Arms thank you for such a great afternoon, hope to see you soon.

We stayed for 2 nights. Beds were really comfortable, rooms were clean and there was minimal noise to say we were above a pub. The only criticism was that the curtains didn't block out the morning sun. Breakfast was good, good quality food and staff were brilliant 😁. Would definitely stay again.

Love this pub. Food is good but a bit pricey. Looking at about £100 for a 3 course meal for 2 but the atmosphere is great and so is the service. Very relaxing and usually have private parties so all dressed up! One of my favourite pubs in the north west

Came here to celebrate Mother's Day. We were not disappointed, quality food and well presented. It was so busy and staff were attentive and polite considering just how many people were dining. We will return. 10/10

I stopped on the 9th and 10th of March , forgot it was Mother’s Day weekend ( sorry mom ) the restaurant was packed on the Sunday ( 10th ) you can tell a good venue on the number of guests, I had my usual breakfast served by the very lovely Clare, she was rushed off her feet bless her, you really can’t fault this establishment and the lovely staff, best place for a full English!!!

Been hear a couple of times with friends. The meals have always been good and nice and hot. Staff are lovely and friendly. Can be a bit noises if big parties are in.

Afternoon tea very over priced. £35 for shop bought cakes and hard scones. I personally can't stand whipped cream with a scone, it has to be clotted cream. Tea was nice. Sandwiches we a bit meh. Staff were friendly. It was a treat for my friends birthday and I was gutted we went here, I've had lots of lovely afternoon teas over the years. I wouldn't go here again for afternoon tea or recommend it either.

Called in today for a breakfast which was absolutely lovely. The food was very good quality and cooked perfectly. Generous portions at such a good price. Lady serving us was very friendly and looked after us well. We have eaten there before and never been disappointed. It is decorated lovely inside and very clean and comfortable. Large free car park too. We’ll worth a visit.

Our go to place. With friends and family for food and entertainment. Had some fantastic times in the Ecclestone enjoying Sunday dinners, tribute nights Eurovision night Greece, New Year’s Eve Staff always put in the extra effort highly recommended.

I had the burger for my main and the sticky toffee pudding for my desert. Amazing!

This became my mother's favorite restaurant ever since we tried their dishes. Recommended to everyone!

We arrived and where seated promptly and friendly by Jess who after a few minutes arrived to take our drinks order, the choice of drinks was plentiful. The food was delicious and very tasty. I had the beef curry which was great. Overall we had a great evening. Thank you Jess and all staff.

What an incredible experience given from Anne and her team! I booked a christening event along with 7 rooms for the weekend for my son’s blessing all the way from Sydney Australia as I was travelling back home for Xmas. The attention to detail and the professionalism given was flawless. Being in the industry for over 20 years I can say that this was one of the best experiences I have had planning an event of my own. On the day the room was beautiful and the food which we had the Sunday roast was polished off on every plate. Thank you Anne for this wonderful experience and I look forward to have another event when I am back in the Uk in the future!

We booked a table for 1915, yet when we arrived, we were ignored for over 5 minutes, and we were then informed by the manager that there was no booking for us. I had a confirmation email, so we got seated at the bar. We had an exceptionally long wait for our food, and then there was a piece of metal in my husbands meal (it was off the deep fryer). The girl serving us was amazing, couldn't be more apologetic, and arranged for us to have dessert for free. However, she then went on her break, and we waited over 30 minutes for our dessert. When we were finished, the useless manager sent over one of the young lads off the bar to deal with us as he knew we were annoyed. The staff were great and doing their best on a busy evening, it is just a shame they have such a bad manager who offered no back up or leadership.

Excellent place for food and drink

I had my 60th birthday meal here, in the Steve Prescott room. 29 family members came, everyone was served promptly, and all enjoyed it. The night was made special by the Bar staff and Anne who oversees events. I forgot my candles for the cake, but Anne found some and I had to blow them out to the bellows of happy birthday. I would like to thank a first class pub & staff for making my special birthday a fantastic one. Jean

Excellent experience here. This is my 2nd Time coming, first time I had a Gluten free afternoon tea, due to the success of that my whole family came here for boxing day dinner. Food was excellent, great knowledge of gluten free/ coeliac/ Cross contamination. The whole family really enjoyed their meals. There was some slight hiccups with running out of pre ordered meals, and slight delays, however staff were very quick to discount the bill. Very good customer services. Also the building itself is lovely.

Jake looked after us all night food was fantastic his service was impeccable Will definitely be back he made it the best night during our stay at the hotel over the festive period

I have been lucky enough to visit here twice in the last week first for a bottomless brunch which was amazing fantastic food and drinks, service with a smile, then yesterday went with my husband, elderly mum in a wheelchair and my dog Lily, we had sandwiches and hot and cold drinks once again absolutely faultless can’t wait to return 😊.

Went here for a special birthday meal, service was terrible. First the orders were messed up and took over 15 minutes to be replaced, meaning some of our party had finished their meal before the others had started, then we sat for 35 minutes waiting for our plates to be cleared and to order some drinks. These were only done when we asked for the dessert menu, this order was also messed up. I could understand if the place was busy but there was only us and two other people in there. The whole experience ruined what should have been a birthday celebration.

I have eaten here several times now and the food and service is excellent it comes fast and nothing is too much trouble l love the onions rings which are homemade.Everywhere is spotless and the cocktails are amazing you won't be disappointed coming here.

So first time here came for a little date. Won't lie I actually really liked the place felt posh and well manned. Staff all smart and clearly available when you needed. Checked in with us a few times. Food was great no complaints. The decor like chairs felt very posh bar looked good they had live singers singing . Music was good customers looked happy. We had a lovely first date and I would absolutely eat here again. Thank you to all the staff to served us. Outside garden looked cool and prices were good. Only two things to make this place perfect was toilets need a little TLC revamp little ware and tear. And noticed wall paper damaged or peeling. But the place is great and for a Friday night very busy which is always good. They cater for events and party/groups. Looked fun so definitely consider this place for that. Didn't take any pictures but I promise definitely worth a visit. We found this place as it was halfway point and we wanted a little upper class restaurant. And they succeeded.
