The best restaurants serving British food in St. Helens North West

Well what a complete disgrace of a s¥#t hole this place is. We ordered a per order takeaway. We never got what we ordered with the main items missing, is was cold we ordered a mix grill and we got a bag of slop. I’ve eaten in approximately 30/35 Indian restaurants over the years, and I’ve been in some shocking places. But this one beats them all hands down. I’ve been on the toilet most of the night with horrendous stomach pain. My partner dodged a bullet because she thrown hers straight in the bin. Please if you’re hungry and thinking of using the pink peal Indian restaurant Earlestown,save some money and go and have a look in your neighbour bin to see what you can find. It will be more edible

Great local pub, live music and decent selection of drinks

The vegan sausage with mushroom, tomato and chilli sauce on a sourdough bap was totally delicious (and I'm not vegan!) and my daughter and sister were both really happy with their paninis. Service was also very friendly. Would reccommend!

Fantastic friendly wee spot and it’s 2 mins from our house which is great. The food is class and all the girls are brilliant. Only bad thing is that their bacon sausage & cheese triple is stretching my waistline as it’s so good I have 2 a week. 😃

Really lovely Sunday lunch for a family of three adults and three children. Excellent roast with the trimmings and sticky toffee pudding. Thank you

This was my first visit and will probably not bother going back again, The breakfast was pretty poor, and as the kitchen is open plan, I could see the staff plating up. Everything is handled, using bare hands and when the lady was plating up the fried eggs, I could actually see the oil dripping onto the plate. Used a napkin to soak up some of the oil from my plate, and received a dirty look from one of the staff members. The whole place feels greasy and even the table surfaces and chairs have a sticky feeling to them. Behind the counter, there are visible greasy hand marks on just about everything.A 5 star health and safety rating? I don't know when they achieved this, but based on this visit, I dont see how that's possible.

Under cooked pie and cold pasties one warm and hard one perfect service very slow baker to concerned with check list still produced under cooked pies

All the feel and look of a great country pub (because it is) a stones throw away from the East Lancs Road. Great atmosphere, excellent service and outstanding food due to the attention to detail. Specials menu always worth a look. Booking is easy and well worth it.

Went for a funeral, The catering was very good, Bar staff very friendly, the toilets were nice and clean, infact, the whole place was very clean

The food is good, but the staff could really do with hygiene training, the lady who served me was taking change, and coughing into her hand before serving me and touching my sausage rolls without washing her hands, had to give them to the dog.

A great pub. It has a lovely atmosphere and staff are very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately no food is served here.

Beef was so tough couldnt even eat it and ordered mac and cheese barely get any of it and then it tasted just like a microwave meal and found plastic in it which confirms its a microwave meal! Told the staff and no apology or anything was given. And for the atmosphere it was awful expected it to be quiet for a sunday and the tv was blasting with football on

Good place for pensioners lunch
