The best restaurants in St. Helens North West

Our 3rd visit to this little gem of a place. Took the inlaws for a breakfast as we kept telling them about this place. Everything freshly cooked. Chef and staff very friendly. They make you feel so welcome. value for money its excellent . Highly recommended and we will be going back again.

This is my favourite cafe for breakfast:) friendly welcome, good food, nothing is too much trouble, great atmosphere cheap and cheerful with lots of banter, try it you will love it! We do :):):)

We called here yesterday with my partner and grandaughters, I had the Alpine breakfast which I thoroughly enjoyed, I was a little disappointed when I was told there was no pancakes available as I was looking forward to 2-2-2 apart from that we really enjoyed our time there, thanks to the staff for their friendliness and we hope to return soon. L

This is the best Chinese in the area.. the salt and chilli chicken chow mein is out of this world 😁 😁

We don't really do takeaways but decided tonight to try a Chinese which is local to us..My husband rang the order through and picked it up 20 minutes later.It was piping hot and everything we ordered was delicious..The chips were the nicest I've ever had and the curry sauce was spot on..We also had barbecue ribs,beef chop suey and fried rice which were all gorgeous..It was our first time there but certainly won't be the last, our new favourite place to eat...Also the price was really good..

I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking for some good food!! Me and my partner had delicious fresh meals and staff were so nice!! 100% great food

What a find. A hidden gem that’s well worth a visit. Food cooked fresh while you wait. Good size portions and at a good price.

Great steak pies, was greedy and had 2, plus got my daughter a Christmas ginger bread. Really nice for the price and great service by the girls behind the counter.

A small little cafe, east missed on the side street. Great place would certainly recommend. well cooked breakfasts and large selection of main meals including Scouse + Chilli Con Carne. Food available to eat in or take away as some seating indoors or just outside. No parking as in centre of town. Clean tidy workspace and happy friendly staff.

Absolute lovely environment friendly kind and clean, excellence bar staff, very well looked after pub old. Heritage pub, Old beams and train very interesting features,

Food was unreal!!! Doughnuts were perfect and amazing price with the doughnut deal. Milkshake was also delicious and out of this world😉. Can not recommend any more and you’d be a goofy goof if you don’t try here. Jamie was also super lovely and made it a lovely experience for me and my kids. A must try for parents!

Met a colleague for quick meeting, good homemade sandwiches & coffee at very reasonable prices, place well laid out,nice & clean with tables outside.

Better than all the rest, the food is fresh, tasty, full of quality ingredients and not at all ever greasy or full of salt and sugar like most take away Chinese can be. Everything is perfectly cooked. The prices are competitive, portions are generous and after a few faultless take aways from here I can thoroughly recommend the food, the pick n mix box option is a great way of having a good variation of dishes without having to buy more food than you need.
