Great pub, food was good and the service was great, lovely staff 😀

If you like having football following you around at every turn, this is the place for you. We left before making any orders for 2 reasons, the first that there were no decent vegetarian options available and 2nd because the noise and blaring screens of football were very uncomfortable to be in. For people with children and I suspect if you are a regular/local patron then it is a good choice for you.

So the food was okay not the best and not the worst, fuming they had no vimto and pepper corn sauce, and the atmosphere was shocking, ripped wall paper where we sat, the staff was lovely and welcoming, but overall would not come here again.

The good is excellent - Steak skillets. Cooked to perfection! However, as with most places, it’s also the staff that makes the experience special. The staff here are amazing! So friendly and welcoming. I discovered the app where you can order food and drinks from your table - no queueing at the bar. This makes the whole experience even easier. Definitely a place to keep coming to! Well done Seven Stars staff!!!!

I love this pub, the staff are very friendly and helpful, I visit almost daily for drinks and occasionally for food. The new manager is lovely and she has made amazing changes since arriving last month.

Staff very welcoming, the food was spot on very enjoyable. Will definitely be dining there again. Can't wait for our next visit.

Not a great experience, my son's meal contained a dead fly, received an unsympathetic apology, served with replacement meal which we do not believe was a freshly cooked burger and chips. No further acknowledgement or offer of a complimentary coffee/drink. Extremely poor customer service. Will avoid.

Best food I've had ages better than miller and carter

I go into the 7 star's two or three times a week usually with my dog Willow who is always made a fuss of by the friendly staff. A nice pub with great staff good meals and ales 😀.

Went for my birthday friends ana I ordered lasagne we were not told of a wait but waited 45 minutes Food came out garlic bread not cooked half a dish of lasagne if that hot in the middle burnt on the outside and no taste very disappointed

Mothers day disaster waited 50 min for 3meals all the veg was cold I even took the gravy back and asked for some hot to replace it she went in one door and out another the gravy was still cold .we were not asked about are meals they just cleaned the plates away.it was the worst served I have had anywhere in st.helens. defo wont go there again 58 pounds waisted.

Beef was so tough couldnt even eat it and ordered mac and cheese barely get any of it and then it tasted just like a microwave meal and found plastic in it which confirms its a microwave meal! Told the staff and no apology or anything was given. And for the atmosphere it was awful expected it to be quiet for a sunday and the tv was blasting with football on

Fantastic little pub. Lovely food,great service. They had a days notice to seat a family of 22,half children. The staff were amazing and patient, and the food came out fresh and hot. All in all, it was a great night . Thank you very much, seven stars 🌟

Ordered chicken ribs combo & burger. Ribs like cobs of cole. Corn on cob was cold. Burger cold & still frozen in middle. Dont know where chicken had been. Worst pub food i have ever had. Avoid this place. I have never walked out a pub leaving food but couldnt eat this earlier. Wouldnt risk feeding this food to my dog. Was that bad it had me laughing. Left our drinks as total disaster. In a nutshell bloody aweful

Lovely staff affordable Bogof meals and drinks food and service was lovely took us back years good food good service we only went in fir a drink after a long day buf the food smelt and looked that good we decided to eat and we both thoroughly enjoyed plus the bill was really cheap £14.99 for 2 Hunters chicken and chips and onions and peas and 2 pints of Carling .

Food was great and the two staff members that looked after us were fantastic.

We had reserved a table for 4 adults and 1 child, when we got there there was only 4 chairs. Not enough cutlery no napkins. My husband went to the bar to get a beer that was on the menu and a glass of white wine for me. He came back with a completely wrong beer and a glass of red wine. My son ordered food and more drinks via their app. The starters came out quite quickly but it was 40 mins after we had finished the starters that mains arrived. When the drinks finally arrived the bar staff asked us not to use the app for ordering drinks as the orders tended to get binned. Will not be going there again.

Went for the festive feast for christmas. I would not have served this food to a dog . Hardly anything on plate . No sprouts , no cranberry sauce ,, no pigs in blankets. What was on plate was absolutely disgusting .complained and even the manager said it wasnt acceptable and was all frozen food. I would never set foot in this place again. Disgusting.

We had a delicious meal with amazing service from Amy, who was professional, friendly and had a lovely personality. We will definitely be back.

We arrived without making a booking. The staff were very welcoming and helped us to find a table which met all of my elderly parents needs. They have motility issues and were very pleased with the table.

Always feels welcoming with a nice friendly atmosphere from both the staff and other locals. Go every week and always enjoy the food. Great selection and fair prices. Would recommend to anyone

We had bog off. Fair price, the burger was abit burned to be honest. Fries OK. Service was quick and friendly.

Really nice atmosphere. Went late afternoon. Large mixed grill and cheeseburger. All done as asked for. Choc fudge cake and apple pie with custard, piping hot. Really pleasant experience. Highly recommended. Get there about 5pm for parking gets quite busy after that x

Not been here for a while, excellent food, plenty of choices on the drinks side, i would recommend anyone to visit and buy some food as you will not be disappointed.

Visited at lunchtime midweek so atmosphere was a little down but told by regulars it's booming at nights & weekend lots of parking with friendly staff food was very good & well priced it's definitely on my return list.

Had a lovely afternoon with sister & my husband, the staff were friendly & so polite. Food was hot & was well presented, I would recommend the chicken strips with curry sauce it was tasty & Pub was nice & tidy and i noticed it was dog friendly which I liked. I was asked to write a review & it was a pleasure to do so. I would recommend the food to family and friends & I will return. Keep up the good work.

Me and friends visited on Saturday night for some food. We had a lovely dinner which was topped off by the singer which started at 9pm. We ended up in the pub till late and I am still paying for a great night out.

Seven stars is a great place, I go there and play pool with my mates, food is good too. The bar staff are friendly and I am served reasonably fast

Although the staff were trying as hard as they possibly could you could tell that the place was very understaffed. Long waits to be served at the bar . 45 minute wait on food even though it wasn’t really busy. I was disappointed to order a portion of 16 chicken wings to be served 13 wings that had barely any sauce on. I felt petty complaining but surely they counted the portion when serving a specific number of something?

We went for my Dads 92nd bithday they couldn't have done enough for us nothing was to much trouble the staff was so nice the food was 1st class and the manager was very helpful and sent some time chatting and making us so welcome I haven't been in the pub for over7 years but will definitely go back thank you seven stars team you made my dads bithday so special 😀

Feel the pub is a little dated now and the toilets weren’t very clean to be fair the barmaid was more interested in choosing her new nail colour rather than looking after her guests

I wish i could give 0 stars for the absolute disgrace of staff members,just returned from Scotland and had Scotish notes with me,and i had a voucher as friends and family to use which meant I couldn't pay cash,i asked a member of the public if he could pay for me and i gave him the cash,had to change money in the gambling machine as he didn't wanted the Scotish notes which i did and gave it him,then i had to buy something with another £20 Scotish note which the fine specimen of a rac1st behinde the bar went and said " Do i accept this foreign note " and pulling a face!! Absolutely disgusting behaviour and racially dacriminative comments made just because a foreigner used a Scotish £20 note!! Last time i checked Scotland was still part of the Uk!!! Will be complaining to GK directly to make sure noone else has to experience those comments. They were 2 members of the public who witnessed it all and one of them was the managers father.

Wife got a Gammon, egg, pineapple (sorry no pic for that meal) no waste on the Gammon however did not enjoy the onions - I got the Mac n cheese 😋 😋 😋 wow if u like cheese u will love this dish. Note: Staff were very nice and friendly.

An unexpected morning meeting with friends, and we decided to catch up over a coffee. The Seven Stars was handy and open, and we are so pleased it was! Their coffees are as good as any coffee shop, and the staff and the atmosphere were just great! Brilliant alternative to sitting in a crowded cafe …… we will be back!

Really enjoyed visiting on a Thursday quiz night with buy one get one free burgers. We stayed for a game of pool once the quiz was finished. Really enjoyed my visit.

Three of us go twice weekly for a meal. Unlike a review i spotted from Cockney craig, the staff are very obliging and just the fact we return regularly speaks for itself. Perhaps sometimes we may have to wait for food , but if one is getting frustrated, all they have to do is politely ask the most obliging staff. The wait was probably his issue but being frustated with the wait, he obviously took the complaint to another leval. Ask and the staff fall at your feet to accommodate your request. We have been visiting for a couple of years. Food lovely, well displayed when arrives on hotplate and always hot. What more can i say. Don't let the odd negatives put you off.

Went for food on a Saturday night. There was entertainment on too so we stayed after our meal to enjoy. The food was excellent, plenty of choice and cooked perfectly. The staff were friendly and welcoming, especially Jude who served us. The pub was busy, however nothing we needed was too much trouble. We will definitely be back!

Great pub with a great vibe. Flaming grill menu is very extensive and good value for money. The staff are very helpful and friendly, one member stood out, I think her name was Jude. We'll be back again soon.

We visit this pub around once a month now as it isn’t too far away from us. Can genuinely say that in the years we’ve been visiting that every meal has been superb and outstanding value especially with the offers they do. Judith especially is always super welcoming and a credit to the pub, as are the rest of the staff. Lots of people we know have taken our advice and have been impressed, some make a much longer journey than we do which says it all. Part of the Greene King chain so good wholesome pub food, done superbly and consistently high standard. We shall be continuing to visit whenever we fancy a pub meal.

Come for the bingo afternoon which was fantastic. Will be at the next one, thank you for a great afternoon. ALl my friends were happy with the entertainment and the host was funny.

Made a large reservation last minute and the site was very happy to accommodate our family. Appreciate they were busy and still managed to get us in. My family throughly enjoyed all the food. Steaks so well cooked and for the price what’s not to love. Children’s menu great also. The team was super friendly and nothing was too much bother super happy with our experience will definitely hold our future meals at the seven stars.

Nit very well good welcome, ordered two drinks and had change thrown at me! Ordered two meals and one very cold; second steak was unwatchable, lady said do you want me to change that because I could not cut it! Gladly said please and exchanged, lady said we can't cook steak unless you cut in to it! Second steak was terrible but said if you have issues just keep on telling us? Sorry I wanted a meal not issues! Don't blame the cook, very bad customer service! Sorry I forgot to say about the first meal we ordered they had sold out, and we needed to pay an extra 80p That's more then three complaints within 90 minutes... If you think about eating look into something called bottle and glass! Nice service lovely foodn

Came here after not coming for a few months to watch the football. What a terrible mistake, given two Prosecco glasses with lipstick all over them so had to return which is fair enough sometimes they’re missed however when I went to the women’s toilets only 1 of 4 was even usable. 2 others didn’t even have locks on the doors, and the third had no toilet paper. The one that was lockable and therefore usable had a floor your shoes stuck to, and a dirty toilet seat. When washing my hands, the soap dispenser fell off into my hands, so it just continued to get worse. My partner went to the men’s toilet and found 2 sinks blocked with toilet paper and clear small bags that had clearly had drugs in. What a fall from grace for this place. Extremely disappointing.

Me and my partner ordered a mixed grill he had medium rare steak I had well done steak I had fries with my meal partner had chunky chips our meal arrived was asked to change are own steaks over as on wrong plate then started to eat our meals both warm not hot wouldn’t eat here again .

I ordered the lasagna and I thourghly enjoyed it. The side dish of fries I found soft and succulent Vicky was heart warming and brilliant
