Not been here for a long time but was pleasantly surprised. Nice meal. Nice pub with plenty of room outside. Will go again.

Love this place, traditional pub on one side of it and a gorgeous Indian restaurant on the other, sounds strange but it's brilliant, staff are lovely on both sides, 100% recommended.

Quite simply the best pub in Rainhill,Phil and Lynn are great hosts and drinks very reasonable..great entertainment.. .what more do you want.

Used to bottle up in this pub 52 years ago,great pub then ,great pub now even though I don't get there much.Worth a visit.

Aw we call I every weekend and pick up a curry after . The pub is amazing very friendly staff ( think family) never too much trouble very clean always happy smiling faces and local clients are pleasantly happy too .

Love the food and have eaten here many times. Avoid dining in there on Saturday nights as they seem to give priority to takeaways....you could be waiting a while for your food.

Played a pool match there.. Standard pub with Indian restaurant attached with wasn't the cheapest tbh

Awful, pestered to wear masks then asked to provide a card to prove exemption. It was borderline harassment in the end. Being asked three times on the way in, then anytime you stood up someone was over asking again. Had to keep my cool on the 5th time of asking, but basically stay away from here if you want a night free from being harassed

Shocking pub...last visited on a cold night in January ...the publican went out of his way to have the customer service skills of a dead parrot! However, the curry house that's attached to the pub is outstanding...

The Coach and Horses is a really friendly pub. Lots of atmosphere, friendly helpful staff and an wide range of drinks on offer. The pub has a small beer garden. One to visit if you are in the area.

A pub with a curry house on the side and played the Beatles a ticket to ride. New Years Eve was really great and the bar was open so late. Old and young had a great time and there looked to be really good red wine. An old couple in front of us we don't know where they were from but the celebrated the new year with a delicious jaegerbomb. We will return from far, mostly because I have to go get my car.

Every time we come into this pub and utilise the Indian restaurant next door we always have a really good evening. A group of us meet up four times a year from far and wide and the pub side always packed on a Friday, often with Football or Rugby League on the numerous screens in the pub. Excellent selection of beers and often have guest beers on. The food in the restaurant always worth travelling for and we've never had a bad meal yet.

We visited yesterday and had a fabulous afternoon. I love a proper pub and this is definitely one of them. We got a lovely table and were able to watch the races and football on two of the numerous to screens. There were lots of other couples around us who were very friendly and there was a great atmosphere. The bar offers a great variety of beers wines and spirits. I can't remember the last time I bought two pints for £6 and the great value for money rounded off a great afternoon. We will be going back soon.

Great to have a local where the drinkers all seem to live locally and use the place as a welcoming drinking hole. Appears to run as 2 businesses because behind the rear doors is a lovely Indian restaurant. When we next come, we will be dining after a few drinks.

A lovely pub with a good Indian restaurant attached. There were plenty of staff behind the bar who were quick to serve and very attentive. There was also a singer on that night, overall a really good pub.

I recently called in to this pub, i had not been in for a while. It was good then but now i can say without doubt this by far the best pub for miles around. The beer is spot on and varied. The atmosphere is just right, friendly staff and their is a first class indian restaurant at the back. I would rate this place very high and congeatulations to the people who have turned this place around it is a credit to you.

Great local with lots of real ales on offer - now owned by the manager and he has made a real difference to this place - always a good night in The C&H and its the only pub I know attached to an excellent Indian restaurant- Spice Rooms! You can enjoy a great curry and still have real ale at the same time!! Gets very busy at weekends so good idea to book a table - great venue for Sports too with most live events screened around the pub - very friendly staff and management

Old fashioned type of pub, busy with lots of regulars and a good friendly atmosphere. Very much a mans pub and maybe not for the girls night out, however good for the boys, with numerous large screen TVs showing all the sports. Not the widest array of beers, mainly the traditional, Guinness, lager, bitter with one real ale only on draught. Quick service behind the bar another great point for the thirsty. Very usefully, this pub has an Indian restaurant attached. Handy after a few beers

Spent an evening in here with family. Had pre dinner drinks in the friendly bar, where seating was very comfortable and bar staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming. Visited the onsite Indian Restaurant, The Spice Inn, which was a total pleasure, food was fantastic, again the service we received in the restaurant equalled the pleasantness of the bar staff, nothing was too much trouble. After a beautiful meal, we again returned to the bar area to finish off our evening. A pub with a traditional feel to it and a homely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend the whole package to friends and family. So convenient for public transport too, with buses and a train station (Liverpool/Manchester/Warrington) literally on the doorstep. A fantastic evening, no trailing round looking for a bar after our meal, so nice to have it all under one roof. Will definitely recommend to family and friends.

Very comfortable atmosphere, reasonable priced drinks, great owners and staff, Indian restaurant attached to the pub, pool room.Tuesday quiz night is great fun and entertainment on Saturday.

Good atmosphere and a nice selection of beers at a reasonable price. There is plenty of seating available, a good quiz on a Tuesday. Will return again and particularly reccomend the Sharp's Doombar or the Black Sheep

I love this restaurant for its friendliness , quality of food , location and price xx the staff are really pleasant and attentive .the menu choice is extensive and I have tried quiet a few of the meals . The location is ideal as I only live a mile or so away , and I use it as a stop off when I go to watch St. Helens rugby league the drinks are reasonable too

Came here on a Saturday to have a few drinks and watch some rugby. The atmosphere was brilliant and I wished we had booked to get in the adjoining Indian as the smell was amazing!! Unfortunately they were booked up for the next 3 hours. Better planning required next time!!

We came here as a family of four as a change of scenery from our local. The drinks were cheap and the atmosphere was great. The staff was so friendly and the live music was brilliant - not something you get in a local pub!

The Coach and Horses adjoins the Spice Inn Indian restaurant. They have 3 stock real ales - Jennings Cumberland, Black Sheep and Charles Wells Bombardier and currently have a Christmas guest ale -Hardy's Rocking Rudolph. Great friendly atmosphere with Sky Sports and no Juke Box which isn't needed with live acts on every weekend. Bar staff are very pleasant and always looking to serve you
