Lymewood farm in St. Helens

Been coming to the lymewood for breakfast every weekend for a while. Buffet breakfast is always a good standard, well priced. The pub itself is always clean and the staff are exemplary Would recommend to anyone Gammon and egg is also top marks

We came for lunch 24th February, we arrived at 12.30 and the car park had so many cars, we walked through the doors and there was a man doing singing/bingo and a quiz. Our first thoughts were what was going on, it was so busy with people, we asked a waitress who explained that the last Monday of the month was always like this. We were a couple and they did find us a table. You can order either via the app or at the bar, Hubby ordered a meat pie chips, veg and gravy I had the medium Turkey Carvery Roast, all our food was lovely. Good value for money and a busy atmosphere, we will come again but maybe at a different day. All staff we encountered were pleasant.

It is not very often you see unenthusiastic front staff for a F&B establishment. The young lad was looking for our reservation but looked quite serious with no smiles. The older lady at the bar told us to wait at the till until someone comes to it. We then saw the other bar person attending to customers and save waiting more time to order the Sunday roast and drinks. She could have taken the order but seem to then look busy. Once we got our tickets we went to get our roast and came across the chef whom had smiles and chat with customers. We sat at our table no 65 and the coke from tap was off! Roast dinner was tasty. Food reasonably priced. Overall the experience could be better if front staff smile a little.

Came here with some friends to try out the carvery and wow! I was served by a gentleman called Callum and his customer service is brilliant. Nothing was too much to ask for and took his time going through my questions.

Booked for lunch 2 people arrived greeted at the entrance shown to our table a booth which we always try to get. Ordered drinks and carvery food was great as always great choice nice and hot and great customer service we love this place

Such a friendly welcoming place. The staff are so lovely and go above and beyond to accommodate. The carvery is such a good selection of meat and veg. And you get lots. Great choice in desserts too. Highly recommend this place. But remember to book because it can get busy

Fabulous carvery with plenty of meat to choose from at a very reasonable price. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Definitely worth a visit.

Father’s Day family meal, food was hot and tasty. Meals were quick to arrive and well presented. Roasts were lovely and too big for some stomachs. Make sure you take away a dessert!

Came for a meal for an early Father’s Day celebration and really enjoyed ourselves. Enjoyed some parts of the carvery more than others but that purely personal taste. People behind the bar were brill and always happy to help, the lady who showed everyone to their tables was fantastic great customer experience. Only one thing that would make the experience better would be to have some sort of mobile ordering system just as when I go out with family a lot of them struggle with mobility issues and if it’s just them and myself it makes it difficult to have to go up to the bar, order and carry the drinks back by myself for multiple people. But on the whole a great experience and would eat there again.

Stayed at Haydock Travelodge and went to Lymewood Farm for breakfast on 2 occasions. Staff were very helpful and friendly and we had 10% discount as we were staying at Travelodge. Food was genera, and all items were available

The carvery was very fresh and very hot. Cooked to perfection. The chef Spencers stuffing is the best I've had in ages. It wasn't a bit dry, yet very tasty.

Our first time here and we will definitely be returning. The customer service was fantastic from start to finish. Really lovely atmosphere and nothing was too much trouble. I was taken to Lymewood Farm in Haydock for a surprise Mothers Day from my husband and my daughters and we had an amazing roast dinner but the waitress Gillian was the star of the show we never stopped laughing she was professional attentive and very funny we have never felt so welcome anywhere else. She couldn’t do enough for us. We will most definitely be returning for food but to also hopefully see our waitress Gillian credit to the company.

Couldn't recommend the buffet breakfast...boiled mushrooms cold slimy eggs cardboard bacon and cold soggy toast. Luckily a fresh pot of coffee had just been made! Guess that's normal though for a buffet as been standing out.
