Take away fish and chips. Food always good, best chippy but it's just so slow everytime. Typically waiting 20-30mins minimum for a relatively small fish and chip order

Been going here for past 5 years on our trips from Canada for the Lamb Shank dinner . Always so tender and tasty. Would highly recommend.. reserve a table.. Sticky Toffee pudding with custard is also great.

Went to this restaurant yesterday for Sunday lunch which was fabulous. Crispy toast potatoes, mash, cabbage and carrot and turnip all lovely, chicken moist, beef tender good flavour and bellypork to die for. Sticky toffee pudding for desert with lashings of sauce and ice cream. Excellent service always with a smile . Thank you to everybody who made it an enjoyable lunch especially the chef.😁

My friend and I had a meal here tonight and it was awful. We waited nearly an hour for the food to arrive, which I don't mind, if there is a freshly cooked meal. However, my vegetarian sausages were black and hard at the ends. Served with dry peas and thick gravy that I could have sliced. My friend ordered the beef and ale pie. Same story. The pastry was rock hard and impossible to cut. The chips dried out and the same thick gravy. We mentioned all of thus to the waitress, who said she would mention it to the manager. We never saw her again! So in a nutshell,very disappointing and we definitely will not be going back.

Recommended by the owner of my bed and breakfast, i went here for a quick bite and ...i stayed the whole evening. Fist for some soup or garlic ciabatta, and then a few drinks and some time watching the entarteinment. All very pleasant, staff very kindly for a fun evening that i liked.

I took my Filipino partner and her daughter for British fish and chips with fruity curry sauce and they loved it! After checking the trip advisor reviews we were hopeful of a great fish dish and they totally delivered.

Very sorry to be writing this review. Past experience of Cranberries was always good but not today. Will not say anything about food that was fine but the staff were not. The waitress who. ‘Served’ us seem to find my sister and I an Intrusion to her conversation with another girl. Our food was virtually thrown onto our table and she never even looked at me as I payed again in her haste to get back to another conversation. She never asked if we had enjoyed lunch, thanked us for coming or wished us a pleasant day.in fact she was just plain rude. I will never be returning to Cranberries ever again, we found the experience quite unpleasant.

Booked for Sunday Lunch and what a great place it is. Quite small - so gets crowded in the evenings when there’s often music on. But we reserved and had no problem. A nice gentle ambiance and the food, oh the food! Absolutely spot on. You’ve got to try the Scotch Egg! Great staff. Highly recommended and we’ll be back!

This is our 2nd visit for Sunday lunch. The food was really good. However the service was very slow this time. We waited an hour for our main after having our starter. We were also sat next to the door. Which on a very cold day in December was not ideal. Every time the door opened there was a cold blast. We were a table of 5 the previous visit it was just 2 of us. So not sure if this is the reason the food took so long. As the Kitchen only looks small.

What a lovely, friendly pub. Tessa has looked after us all afternoon. She is an absolute star! Thank you Cheshire lines for a lovely day.

I love this place! I booked a tea party for my birthday. The table was set lovely with China plates, tea cups and saucers. Food was served on plate stands which was a great selection of sandwiches, pastries and cakes. I'm vegetarian, which was catered for and we finished with a scrummy cream tea consisting of scones, butter, jam and cream. Tea and coffee was plentiful and included in the price. We had a really enjoyable time. The staff are great and very attentive and had even put up birthday banners, which I thought was a lovely touch. I love the fact north perk cafe is a social enterprise and part of charity Ykids. Your money is helping disadvantaged children in the local area. There is always a happy, laidback, chatty vibe here. Please check it out, if you haven't already and support your local children. Fantastic job North perk and thank you for making my birthday a happy one x

Our Sunday dinner was in a word....awful. The roast chicken was boiled with white skin and potatoes deep fried, swimming in grease and hard on the inside. Before I put this review on here I emailed the management and got a less than satisfactory reply. There are lots of places offering delicious food in Southport....unfortunately, this isn't one of them. CC

Nipped in for coffee, stood at counter for a long while. Three members of staff there and all three were walking past me and never acknowledged me once although they obviously saw me! I wasn’t expecting instant service, but since I was obviously there, a “hello”, or “be with you in a minute” or any such acknowledgment would have been polite. I left agin and went somewhere with better service. I won’t be returning. It’s basic manners to acknowledge that a customer is waiting, especially since I was the only one at the counter! Training on customer service and manners very much needed there. Shameful!

Absolutely beautiful breakfast, kind and polite staff, nice vibes. Deffo would be eating there all the time if I was a local.

A nice place to go for a drink .staff are superb .
