Our first visit to the cobbled corner , it won’t be our last . A really lovely atmosphere and the staff are just perfect. I had the best pea and ham soup and I have to say that this was the best pea and ham soup I have ever had.my wife had cauliflower and cheese soup which again as a fab choice . The cakes we had were really enjoyable and so well made. Finished with tea and a latte. Really enjoyed our food

What a truly lovely family-run business with a focus on customer satisfaction. I was looking for a venue to host a family gathering and the fabulous owners of this very pretty and well-organised cafe came up trumps! We were able to have the private room and conservatory at the back of the cafe which was cosy and intimate and yet also spacious. A scrummy buffet was laid on for us with a great election of delicious sandwiches, quiches, salads, crisps and cakes. We were a group of 30 relatives and friends and everyone commented on the quality of the food. Unlimited tea and coffee was served in proper cups and saucers and the whole experience from being welcomed on arrival to be waved goodbye as we left, was just faultless! I have not hesitation in recommending the food, drinks, staff service and general welcoming atmosphere of The Apricot Meringue!

What an amazing friendly little place! Couldn't have been happier to see Hofbrau as a regular and their Oktoberfest as a special. Great selection of beers and ales, and a very friendly barman and locals. 100% will come back again, cheers!

So grateful to the owner for making us so welcome. At first, it appeared that the tea shop part of the shop was closed but he welcomed us into the “back” where the tables are, gave us a copy if The Times read and made hot pork sandwiches! Followed by home made cake. We didn’t have cash so he let us pay direct into his bank account which worked perfectly. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Suspect he is something of an overly modest cook! Would love to return and highly recommend!

We had a lovely Sunday lunch here to celebrate a 60th wedding anniversary in the family. The staff serving us were wonderful and I have to give special mention to Dave in particular who went above and beyond to assist with less able members of our group. The food was very nice - roast beef done to perfection meaning it was clean plates all around. Being perfectly happy to bring a cake out for us and also giving the couple a present for their diamond anniversary is a mark of pure class - thank you!

Had a long weekend in the Forest of Bowland and managed to book The Parkers Arms for the Saturday evening which I was pleasantly surprised at. We were seated in the bar area in the window. My better half and I swapped seats as she found the bench seat in the window bay uncomfortable, I found it fine however. Food was great, I had house cured anchovies for starters and grilled skirt for mains. I would have preferred 'fat' chips rather than thin fries but hey ho, I was served what I ordered! Cheese plate for dessert was good The boss had the chicken pie with creamed mash for mains which looked lush. We chose to wash it down with some of the Bowland Brewery 'Buster' rather than wine. All in all a very nice evening
