Tim Hall is a very good chap. We had filled baps and they were excellent. The tea rooms were closed, but he let us sit at the tables in the garden. We will certainly come again.

Needed a restorative sandwich and a cuppa after walking in the surrounding countryside so looked in to this Post Office cum tea room. Don’t be out off by the modesty of the owner saying ‘we really only do take always now’. He’s an excellent Cook! We had delicious BLT baps with lots of proper butchers bacon freshly cooked. The bap was super fresh too and it was a Sunday. We sat outside on the lawn reading the papers bought in the shop watching the locals drop in to pick up their baps too ( clearly this place is much appreciated) . We rounded it all off with home made coffee and walnut cake. Yummy!

Hugely disappointed having visited many times in the past. Limited menu which is understandable in the current climate but would have thought that that might have led to more attention to detail. Monk fish main was very good but three of us ordered sirloin steaks and were all equally disappointed... at £29 we all would have expected more. Overall service sadly lacking and it will take some convincing to return which is such a shame

Been coming here for years now, probably 20. Tim is a great host and great chef. He’s friendly and welcoming. We decided to have our wedding reception here and he was amazing a wonderful meal even made us a cake because travelling from South Kirkby Pontefract we couldn’t take our wedding cake.

Visited today with my parents, had delicious rounds of freshly made sandwiches very generously filled. Lovely and friendly service in a traditional tearoom. Distanced tables and handwashing on the tables felt very COVID safe. Planning to return for the homemade cakes and Friday pie lunches. Thanks Tim.

Visited twice last week when we were on holiday in the area, Tim was so helpful and knowledgeable of local walks and places to visit, even let us borrow his map. His shop is exceptionally well stocked. In the tea room We tried all the cake! Carrot, coffee & walnut, Victoria sponge - so tasty and light, seriously delicious. We had a most generous pot of decaf tea for two and such great service with a smile - thank you :)

10 friends met for Tim’s Christmas meal and all agreed the food was lovely. A good choice, lots of al dente vegetables & everything served piping hot! We took our own wine & wobbled home afterwards! Usually open until teatime but these meals are done in December or I would think to order at other times?

I have been a regular at this café for many years but recently moved house which meant today was my first visit in almost 6 months. I wish I hadn't bothered. I entered the cafe to see new Sunday lunch menus on the table - thinking there maybe an event on I checked to make sure there were no reservation signs - there wasn't so I took a pew or tried to. At that moment Tim (the rude owner) came out and bellowed "Aye, what are you doing? That's booked for Sunday lunch" I was astounded and so shocked I couldn't answer. With that he picked up my things and all but pushed me to another table and barked "I can do you there" and walked off. I walked out, never to return! I was shocked and embarrassed there was absolutely no excuse for talking to me, or anyone, like that. Thankfully there are lots of nice cafes to go to locally - just not this one!!

What a fabulous find we visited here on 21.7.18. Nine Lancashire lady cyclists on a 35 mile ride from Langho. We where made so welcome by Tim and his helper Jack, the food was all freshly made and my Turkey and Apple Sauce still warm from the oven was delicious. If you are in the area go to these tea rooms you will not be disappointed., not a big commercial venture a genuine Lancashire tea room.

Called for a snack lunch with another couple during brief visit to the area.We only wanted sandwiches and a cuppa but were treated like royalty. From the warm smiles and genuine interest from the young women serving ['where have you been/where are you off to next'] to the offer of top - ups by the man[owner/manager?] it simply couldn't be bettered. Great humour and very well priced food. We'll be back!Remember to take cash to pay.

This is the comment we heard from the kitchen when I turned up with 3 friends up for a bite to eat today (Sunday). I thought that this attitude to customers was confined to Fawlty Towers - clearly not. We didn't wait. Looking at the other positive comments, perhaps he was just having a bad day - but with the friendly welcome we received at the 'Delicious Deli and Café' just four miles down the road in Gisburn, I'm not going to bother to risk coming back. (Sorry, have clicked 'Food' and 'Value' as terrible when we didn't have a chance to find out.)

This has become a fairly regular dropping-by place for my wife and I on our way to and from various places. First thing to note is that there is always an excellent cup of tea served in a generously-sized pot, with hot water in another pot that doesn't have to be asked for. Unusual quality of service in itself, and at a very reasonable price.Whether you want a scone with jam and cream, some home-made soup, a sandwich or even a full English breakfast, you will be accommodated, and you will certainly not be ripped off. Good quality food at a very fair price.Service is first rate and very friendly. All in all, the place is almost too good to be true, and it's set in a delightful village, which contains a very interesting medieval church.Highly recommended.

This is a lovely tearoom in a beautiful area. The owner greeted us and suggested we have our drinks in the garden area which was secluded and a real sun trap. The drinks were served in china cups and teapots and the toasted tea cakes with jam were delicious.A perfect place to relax if you are exploring the village particularly with the connection to Henry VI and The White Queen.

Having been before on many occasions, I was equally as delighted on this one. I treated my mum to a ride out to the lovely village of Bolton by Bowland with the tea rooms central to my plan. Bolton is just one of many splendid, scenic villages in an area known as the Trough of Bowland in the heart of Lancashire. Arriving at the BbB Tea Rooms, we were given a warm welcome by the proprietor, who was genuinely happy to see us, asked how we were keeping and took our order. We had a round of sandwiches each, served with lovely salad garnish and crisps, tea for two served in a lovely china tea set and an enormous piece of dream-like lemon cake. The establishment also runs a post office and general village store. It has a dining room and one can eat outside in a sheltered garden, as we did.Another most enjoyable visit and I hope to return again soon. If anyone is wondering about a nice place to go, this establishment will not disappoint.

We sometimes visit Clitheroe midweek during the day. A pub crawl is the usual way to go, but this time, after the first pint we decided to have another. We stayed for six and on heading to the bus stop, we had only been to one pub. Why did we stay all afternoon? It was the friendliness of not just the staff, but the other customers all offering interesting content to a rolling discussion ranging from the beers to where each of us lived / grew up etc .... The barmaid (it was her first day) pulled a great pint too. In my experience of both pubs and people, this is rare. I nearly forgot to mention the prices. Cheaper than most places and two of the beers offered at just £3 a pint.
