Food is good but not worth what is being charged

What a great little place. Have passed here many times and decided to stop off today. Had sausage sandwiches, latte and espresso to take away and they were done to perfection. Will definitely be back. Thank you 😊

Beautiful place and quite possibly the best breakfast I've ever had. Similarly my wifes avocado was magnificent. Absolute perfection.

Amazing food again , after lunch we bought cakes to take home as they are so good, so many gifts to buy too , definitely a place to visit if you are In Gisburn.

We come regularly here and used to love it. Unfortunately things are not too good now. No heating despite cool temperatures of January and more surprisingly, they were mopping the floor with disinfectant whilst customers were eating. One would not expect this until all customers had left. No warning given they were due to close. We witnessed a disabled customer have to carefully negotiate a wet floor. Poor show ! Do hope this review is taken notice of as it is such a lovely little cafe.

Have to first say be prepared to park a distance as with roadworks on the weekend we called very difficult to find ! Lots of choice on the menu but tables very close together had to send cappuccino back as I asked for extra hot but unfortunately that didn't happen my toasted currant t cake also small and lacking in fruit and size for price charged ! My friends eggs on toast she was very happy with so I wouldn't dash back but if I was passing maybe !

A simply stunning deli. We takeaway sandwiches and salad boxes every few weeks and they are beyond compare.

Delicious usually lives up to its name. Today I had a wonderful 'Moroccan' flatbread, piled high with chicken and salad. It was more than delicious being exceptional value for money too. Fantastic food.

We'd landed at The White Bull (see my review) and was advised breakfast "across the road at the deli." First impressions, "nice" (extended vowel,) welcoming display and well presented and very pleasant staff. Walking through the shop past the breads, the counter boasted a very tempting display of savories and an impressive display of cakes. The shelves hold preserves, jams, honey, beer etc. and lots of other treats and eats. We told them we were from the pub and took a table. We ordered tea for two, a cheesy omlette for my darlin' and smoked salmon & scrambled eggs for me. Delicious. After a day out, we returned at teatime for tea and cake. We'll recommended.

They have plethora options in breakfasts, lunches, and cakes, as well as deli items to takeaway. They also have a selection of vegan and gluten-free options. If you're looking for a delicious and satisfying meal in Gisburn, the Delicious Deli and Cafe is a great option.

Lovely deli was recommended by locals for the best sandwiches. They were nice however the huge price difference which I didn't realise to sit inside. £3.95/4.95 to take away. To sit in £8.95 which I will be honest I'm a Londoner and prices are Alot cheaper and finer looking deli/cafe

Fab little find in Gisburn.. We have sit down breakfast, but they also do takeaway breakfast. The poached egg on toast was stunning. Fresh thick break and great coffee. A real nice find, that also sells produce. A must if your passing, bi would imagine the coffee and cake in the afternoon to be a real treat too

Lovely little cafe and deli. I had the quiche salad and chips absolutely lovely. Mumhad jacket potato n cheese,and amazing hot chocolate she said. hubby had bbq chicken. Good size portions and very reasonable price

At first sight looked ok, menu way over priced for a dirty cafe but thought we'd give it a go (wish we haven't) we only had simple stuff so never thought it could be so bad bacon sandwich cheep yellow spread then the bacon has a black slime all over it wasn't burnt but coated in this black stuff and tasted just awful, next egg mayo butty this was very crunchy due to all the egg shell in it,along with that very rude 55/60lady serving . This is my first review as I belive everyone gets a chance but at the prices they charged and the simplicity of what we ordered to get in so bad we will not be going again

Visited today and have to say this once happy vibrant cafe with lots of life has now become a damp squib without sparkle ,whilst hospitals and public places have now dispensed with protective measures there still.stands a huge peice of perspex in the way ,this creates a barrier for customers.to communicate with your staff who struggle to understand orders for food because of it. We ordered coffee ,tea and bought scotch eggs at the counter ,whilst sat at the table we were reminded that we could not eat them in the cafe ,although paying for all four items sitting with a brew we were not allowed to ear our food as the manager had instructed the staff this was the rule,perplexed is not the word ? So what is the rationale for such a ridiculous ruling? , happy to take the money but can't enjoy them whilst they are still warm?? Contemplating whether we come back or not ,it's not the pleasant place I used to enjoy ! 🤔

The queue was long but we were served quickly and it cleared quickly. We had breakfast and a steak sandwich which were hot and delicious. Despite how busy it was the food arrived quickly and was hot and enjoyable. We will be returning. If you havent tried it already dont be put off by any negative reviews as it is lovely hot basic food and great service.

With a name like ‘delicious’ it’s imperative they deliver! As a chef of 15 years I can honestly say it certainly does. Doing the simple things well is all it takes to create an excellent reputation, there was absolutely no corners cut in the quality of the produce or cooking here. Everything was home cooked using fantastic quality produce, even the children’s hotdogs came with 2 large butchers sausages inside a lovely soft bap, home cut fries, fresh salad and hands down the best BLT iv ever had. This place has there self a new regular.

QUALITY - Without doubt, our current favourite coffee stop. The scones were the very best and relatively unique due to their crumble-type top which were dusted with icing sugar - really nice touch. The sausage barms were recommended by a fellow biker several years ago and having sampled a number of times since, I can also agree👌. Pay no regard to my 4⭐ rating for 'Atmosphere', it was late morning, just four people seated and a number of take outs so not applicable. Treat yourselves, give it a try.👍

We call here quite often as near our caravan. They make very good sandwiches and a large choice of filling. We recently had tuna and fresh salmon with salad, both good and very full. Cafe at the back when I visited was very busy

Called on Wednesday nice little cafe we sat at the back coffee was great but a sum what rude lady that served us when our sandwiches arrived the bacon had llike a black sticky tar all over it that had leaked off it on to the plate the sausages were dried up and looked as though they had been warmed up also very over cooked .Hard to get a bacon sandwich wrong but was just awful. The staff were also very rude and uninterested our comments

Been meaning to call in for a while and finally did and so glad as we could not fault the food or service. Excellent presentation of food and quality to match. We will definitely be returning.

I am usually a positive reviewer and always try to see the best in a business and it’s staff but I was so disappointed after my visit i won’t be returning. We have never visited before and called in for a light bite. We saw a table free and asked if we could take the table and were advised yes that is fine. There was no menu at the table so we waited thinking someone would come over and give us a menu. It wasn’t until we were leaving we saw that it said on the table number in small writing that you were to order at the till which was fine but not obvious and a bit tricky to order when you had no idea what was on the menu! A young lady came over after about 5 mins of waiting and cleaned our dirty table. I asked how it worked, do we order at the table or the till and is there a menu and she said ‘I don’t know, I just wash the dishes’ and walked off. Clearly she didn’t see the note on the table number to order at the till either and she works there. I thought she would ask her colleague but no she walked back into the kitchen. I wanted to get up and leave at that point but we were too embarrassed so my husband said he would go to the till. Luckily we found it quite funny and I asked him to surprise me so had a sausage sandwich on the off chance they did this. The food and coffee were really nice but the service was abrupt and unfriendly and I didn’t feel welcome at all. I didn’t find any of the staff warm or inviting which is a real shame as we go for breakfast and coffee every weekend but this place won’t be a repeat visit sadly.

Lovely local Deli in Gisburn Lancashire. Food is alway fresh & tasty, staff welcoming & friendly, service excellent. Good range of home made pies, lasagnes to take away as well as cakes.

Popped in to grab some coffees, and got a really good hot latte and cappuccino. You can sit in or takeaway. The cakes looked amazing and there were some lovely foods available in the shop. Will be back to eat at the earliest opportunity!!

Beautiful food and friendly service and interesting deli

Really nice stop off point. I had a very tasty leek and potato soup with some nice brown bread and a glass of water. It wasn't imaginative but looked as good as it tasted.

What a great little find!! Passed it lots of times on the way to Harrogate but visited for the first time today. It's all decorated beautifully for Halloween and the food was ,as the name suggests, DELICIOUS. Even bought some lovely and unusual Christmas cards whilst there. Definitely calling in on the way home 😋

The best coffee I've had for ages , and reasonably priced.

I was accidentally charged for a drink I did not have. The food was excellent 👌 I will check my bill next time we call in.

Popped in for a quiet bite to eat and sit down, food was fine and friendly staff. Our issue was the price of some items, not sure how they can get away with charging £2.25 for a can of coke, not even a glass with ice to go with it.

We had a very nice night here the staff were very welcoming and the food and service was excellent. We will come back next time we visit.

First visit here today. We wanted to try the breakfast and we were not disappointed. Delicious fresh home cooked food and very friendly welcoming staff. Couldn’t help leaving with a bag of their freshly made scones. We will be back again before we return home.

We visited Delicious today for lunch, we ordered a chicken and stuffing sandwich, and a duck and plum sauce wrap. the food was fresh and tasty. We will definitely be visiting again soon!

We've been visiting this deli for years and have always found the staff who worked there to be kind, friendly and helpful. The food is tasty and we have always enjoyed coming here. On our last visit, I was just passing through with my children and stopped for a take out drink and some food. We ordered a kids hot chocolate which was lovely and piled high with cream and marshmallows. As the lid would not fit for us to take the drink out, we asked the member of staff serving us if we could sit down for two minutes whilst my little boy ate the cream and marshmallows. The lovely girl who served us said that was no problem, however when we went over to the seats another lady (presumably the owner) said rather abruptly 'Have you paid to sit in with those drinks?' When I explained we would just be a couple of minutes so my little boy could put the lid on his drink she said we would not be able to do this as we hadn't paid extra to sit in. Perhaps I am being unreasonable with my review but I really thought this was quite unkind and I was taken aback by the aggressive tone. I feel this is a real shame as we loved coming here but we really value good hospitality and kindness and on this basis won't be able to return.

Been coming here for many years and the food and drink have always been excellent. I called in over the weekend and was really disappointed with the poor service. I waited patiently while some people got served. The staff then went about sorting tables. I waited patiently thinking they were busy and would serve me soon. A customer came in and a member of staff served them straight away. They then ignored me again. I had to call out to someone in the end to get served. I have always previously had an excellent experience, hence 3 stars rather than one!

We called in when passing en route to the north. I had a delicious bresd roll with four delicious hot sausages. The wife had a sausage roll and lemon cake which she thoroughly enjoyed. The tea & coffee were also good and the service was faultless. If we lived nearer we would be regular visitors.

What a gem, lovely quirky cafe with a really good choice of food on the menu. Panini, homemade coleslaw & the best chips ever & the staff are a bonus great relaxed service, cannot fault it.

This place lives up to its name. The cafe area is shut but still open for takeaways. Bake stuff themselves. Cakes are...well what's the word? ..delicious! Recommend the chocolate brownie and the gluten free orange and marmalade tray bake.

As we approaching the border of Yorkshire we saw Delicious and stopped to have a bite there. Unfortunately there was no seating there takeaway only so we bought sandwiches and took them to a park 🏞 place cross the road and found a a picnic seat and eat our sandwiches and the crisps. Then went back for ice cream and bought bread 🥪 and what we needed for our stay which we didn't bring like milk salt and pepper a few biscuits etc

Really nice place to have a sandwich made. Great choice and very filling. We had hot chicken and stuffing and also a poached salmon salad on really tasty buns. Also had a most delicious pork pie.

The staff are really lovely and welcoming both on the phone and behind the counter (and they have been consistently so all the way through lockdown). For a little village like Gisburn to have such a fab deli is a triumph.

Lovely fresh produce and cakes but took quite a while to be served and limited parking

Lots of yummy cakes, butties and nosh at suitably expensive prices. You pays your money you takes your choice. I really liked it. I didn't go in the cafe just had take outs but the deli stuff in the fridge looked mouthwatering and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would like to go back and sit in for something more substantial and buy some goodies in the deli but I haven't got enough money at the moment. Maybe oneday I'll be back

Unfortunately one we will be avoiding in the future.Definitely not operating as a cafe.No facilities ,very restricted choice and indifferent staff.There are other much better stops nearby.

Yes, we arrived seeking sustenance five minutes after food service deadline. Hungry, a little interest or suggestion would be helpful, instead of feeling unwelcome. Staff were straight-faced, so we bought drinks and snacks to eat outside. We were told ‘no problem’ but it clearly was....

Always excellent. We don't live in the immediate area anymore but we will always come to visit as food is excellent, always hot, fresh and just delicious 😆 Staff are absolutely wonderful and always a delight to see everytime we go. Fantastic deli. Currently operating takeaway (Covid). Incredible Brownie and latte. Also had a beautiful gluten free marmalade cake. Highly recommended.
