En route to the lakes lunch Fish cake and chips and crispy chicken sandwich and triple cooked chips . Chips were definitely out of the freezer , the fish cake was ok but nothing more and my husband said the crispy chicken was boring . Tartare sauce served with the fish cake was one of those really cheap ones out of a jar . For nearly £13 for a chicken sandwich plus £3.75 for a portion of chips it should have been better

We dined in Seasons during our stay for my daughters wedding. The service was first class, the food was excellent and a good varied menu. The menu for our wedding event was chosen at a pre taster event a couple of months before the wedding. The food was that good, it made choosing very difficult. The food served on the day was incredible. The breakfast was a buffet style, but was freshly cooked and served at the open kitchen counter. Best buffet style breakfast I have ever had, none of the many items on offer had been sat in the trays for long and it all tasted fresh and hot. Highly recommended

We went for festive afternoon tea to cap off a couples day out. Lovely friendly welcome, seated at a table in the lovely Seasons restaurant. Superb selection of finger sandwiches, pigs on blankets and Brie wedges as savoury accompanied by a selection of seasonal cakes and sweet treats, with if course the lightest fruit scones with clotted cream and jam, served warm. Lashings of tea and coffee supplied. Service was quick and friendly, all in all a lovely pre-Christmas afternoon tea, highly recommended.

Unbelievable food, service was amazing Christina was so so good. It was quiet with a great atmosphere. We had the steak and it was cooked to perfection. Great price food and drink and is a perfect place to eat should you be staying at the hotel like we were. Breakfast is great with the best tasting sausage and black pudding ever. Also has the best brown sauce in the world in my opinion. Thanks for a great even guys can’t wait to come back.

Lovely place, great parking and fabulous service …drinks not badly priced. Sunday lunch food was really great however portion size was underwhelming and over priced. Such a shame.

My mum loves it here and comes often for evening meals so I thought I would treat her to afternoon tea seeing as how we both love trying new places for afternoon tea. All in all the experience was nice, however - obviously pre made and sat in the fridge - till our arrival - the bread/sandwiches were stone cold. They would’ve been much nicer at room temperature. The meat was a little bit dry on the mini burger - however The cakes and everything else were lovely! My mum enjoyed it, that’s the main thing. The staff were lovely and the decor is absolutely beautiful.

I dined at Prime with my partner and 11 week old baby. The menu was lovely and the choices all very tempting making the most of local produce. I expected to rush down a meal eating with one hand ... for once that didn’t happen. The staff were so attentive.. especially Shinead... Who noticed we were dining with our baby and scooped her up and cuddled her for the duration of our meal (with a few cuddles from Rosie on reception too) Not only was the food Lovely and the wine cold... and much needed, but the staff really went the extra mile. I would highly recommend, I left feeling full and relaxed. Beautiful surroundings, lovely food and excellent customer service.

Never been here before, but will definitely be returning soon! Excellent food, the staff couldn’t be anymore welcoming, & the accommodation was outstanding, with beautiful views over the countryside. Highly recommended!

Having had such a fabulous experience previously, myself and my partner booked a table at the Prime restaurant for our special anniversary treat. However this time we were sadly very disappointed! The once fabulous menu choices have been dramatically reduced and do not reflect the current online version (we had already chosen our dinner choice before leaving!) The once amazing Fillet steak has been removed from the menu completely and the only choice of prime steak available now is a piece of rump!We were further disappointed when my partners pie turned up, complete with the baking paper still attached to the pastry! We brought this to the attention of the staff who took this back to the chef, he removed the baking paper and sent the dish back out, however leaving a piece of the baking paper still on the side of the plate! I’m not sure what we expected the chef to do to be honest but delivering the pie back to the table with baking paper as a side accompaniment is not the level of service that we expected.I have previously rated this restaurant as a 5 star plus and raved to friends and family about how fabulous this place is, idyllic setting, beautiful decor etc. This is still very much the same opinion I have of the venue but we have been left feeling disappointed with our recent restaurant experience.Reduced and limited menu and lack of attention to detail.

Lovely place with stunning views and hosted by Jonathan and Fran who are the most welcoming people. Bed and breakfast for one night only but we felt like we were visiting close family. We would highly recommend a stay here.

Traditional pub food. An excellent lunchtime dining experience with a wide choice of beers. All staff are friendly and polite. Shout out to Nicky and Andy, thanks. Couldn't do enough for you. Down-to-earth pub. Cheers! Just as good again today.

An excellent full English breakfast prepared with quality ingredients and prepared to perfection. A very friendly and professional staff team. The farm shop is a delight with an excellent range of products. The butchery and bakery departments are outstanding.

We sometimes visit Clitheroe midweek during the day. A pub crawl is the usual way to go, but this time, after the first pint we decided to have another. We stayed for six and on heading to the bus stop, we had only been to one pub. Why did we stay all afternoon? It was the friendliness of not just the staff, but the other customers all offering interesting content to a rolling discussion ranging from the beers to where each of us lived / grew up etc .... The barmaid (it was her first day) pulled a great pint too. In my experience of both pubs and people, this is rare. I nearly forgot to mention the prices. Cheaper than most places and two of the beers offered at just £3 a pint.
