The best restaurants serving British food in Manchester North West

First fish and chips of my stay this year in England. Fish cooked to perfection with a spicy breading that changes. A great homemade sauce and a friendly host. I highly recommend the address.

Stumbled across this place before going to a gig as we wanted some food and drink. Service brilliant, food was outstanding and it had a really good atmosphere. Highly recommend. Definitely go back when visiting Manchester or going to a gig.

A Trof breakfast used to be very tasty and special, now it’s no better than a hotel buffet. Bland provenance-free ingredients, cheap bread, supermarket hash browns, coupled with expensive, poor value extras! I paid £1 for a single small mushroom, don’t be fooled by the photos on social media.

Great food and presentation on a cosy atmosphere.....shame we were the only ones in at 2100 on a Saturday! Definitely will go back

Just returned from the Tatton Arms, what a lovely warm, welcoming place it is. We love having Sunday lunch out and we weren't disappointed, when the meal arrived I saw the massive Yorkshire pudding and thought oh no! as when they are that big they are often tasteless, but what a lovely surprise to find out how tasty it was. Everything on the plate was really enjoyable and well-presented. Another surprise was to see how much gravy was on the meal and it tasted good. Very recommendable.

Deliciosos pasteles. Menú simple pero brillante. La mayoría de los pasteles también se pueden hacer sin gluten y hay postres sin gluten. La decoración es realmente genial y los pasteles son deliciosos.

Great stay, made to feel very welcome. Room was excellent, well appointed and furnished to a high standard. Steven on the door was particularly helpful and welcoming, I will be returning.

Small but wonderfully eclectic record selection. Jim was a great guy to chat to about music and the city.

The woman serving me (Tracy) made a snarky and racist remark about my background, despite being a person of colour herself! very unprofessional of her, i hope she's aware this is not okay despite of what others may have thought of her food. Other than that i have no complains with the food its all decently priced and up to par.

Me and my husband came in and had 2 courses, the food was great, I had the aranchini along with the featherblade which was wonderful. Our service was wonderful, though my husband over heard our waitress being rude to some members of staff in the kitchen apparently when collecting our food. Never the less we had a great time and highly recommend!

First time hers. Called for pickup. Was ready in 5 mins. Friendly girl on the phone and I think it was the owner who greeted me when i came in. Sausage on toast, bacon tomato sandwich, 2 x bacon, egg mushroom barms and 4 hash browns 20£ Bacon was really nice, only bad thing was eggs weren't dippy. Apart from that well nice.
