Just returned from the Tatton Arms, what a lovely warm, welcoming place it is. We love having Sunday lunch out and we weren't disappointed, when the meal arrived I saw the massive Yorkshire pudding and thought oh no! as when they are that big they are often tasteless, but what a lovely surprise to find out how tasty it was. Everything on the plate was really enjoyable and well-presented. Another surprise was to see how much gravy was on the meal and it tasted good. Very recommendable.

We chose here for afternoon tea and wow what a great experience. Walking in we were warmly greeted and our coats taken. The decor and ambience were perfect with leather sofas, vintage books and assortments lining the walls. Once settled the server described what was to come. In the meantime, she handled a wooden box explaining we also had access to unlimited tea and coffee during the experience. The box held small pots of tea so you have a whiff before choosing your beverage. To start we had the floral tea in blueberry, then the tray was delivered including tuna wrap, tomato bread with cheese, pastrami, coco bread with coronation egg, chicken sandwich, lavender and lemon cake, chocolate, carrot cake, macaroon, and a scone with clotted cream and jam. Everything was presented beautifully and tasted fabulous. My feedback was my scone was quite dry, crumbly and flat. I also asked for a flat white coffee and strawberry mango tea this was delicious and well made. Overall the service was impeccable, really attentive and the 2 hours was a perfect amount as didn't feel rushed in the slightest. The ambience was perfect too would definitely return .

The woman serving me (Tracy) made a snarky and racist remark about my background, despite being a person of colour herself! very unprofessional of her, i hope she's aware this is not okay despite of what others may have thought of her food. Other than that i have no complains with the food its all decently priced and up to par.

We had a great dinner here. The crabcake was superb, the toasted almonds gave a great texture and the curried mayo was delicious. My wife had the hispi cabbage which she also loved. We shared the sirloin which was very tasty and the carrots and chips were excellent. The meat could have been a bit better for the price though - it wasn't bad, just not quite good enough given other places offer chateaubriand for not much more money. The cocktails were ok, could be a bit more exciting. Service was the highlight and was absolutely superb. The waitress with the curly hair really knows how to host and is a credit to Kala. We will definitely be back next time we are in Manchester.
