The best restaurants serving British food in Ancoats and Clayton Manchester North West

Called tonight for fish and chips...well what can i say AMAZING...best fish and chips i have ever tasted and i am 88 years of age I wish i lived nearer but will be back.The fish[cod] to die for the chips superb....portions huge.....we will be back.ps the Batter on the fish was breathtaking!!!!!!!!!!also the price???i couldnt believe how cheap plus the owner was so nice..........

I've eaten at some of the world's highest rated restaurants and mana is easily their equal. So many of the courses hit hard, especially with their incredible drinks pairings. Can't recommend this restaurant enough.

TNQ serves beautiful food in a great setting - not a huge empty room like some local places. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Good selection of starters, mains, desserts and drinks to accompany. Highly recommended.

I came here for a coffee and it was really good, nice Barista coffee and tasted much better than the usual coffee chains. I had a take away, but the inside looks really nice, lots of people working on laptops. They have soya milk and other non dairy milks which was good. Overall a great coffee house in Ancoats.

Great pub/hotel in the heart of Manchester

Why bother selling tickets for rave events when you don’t even have a dance floor warning to anyone coming here who actually likes music this place is full of boring gentrifiers sitting down

Great pub the landlord and owner is a great host and very welcoming and the exterior and interior of this listed building are amaizng. It's also like a Tardis when you walk in it looks and smells like a classic old pub with a great selection of beers and ales and then opens up around the back where there's more seating and an open kitchen and where the beer garden is there are heated indoor pods that sit around 8 people and just make this pub even more intriguing and great for privacy amongst family and friend gatherings

I have never had anything so overpriced and so poor taste wise. 16£ for a pizza of this quality? On a thick dough? With cheese that’s not even a proper mozzarella? In Italy people go to jail for that. Chicken tikka - expensive, hard to bite, dry. I would have finished my meal and left but knowing how expensive that was, I think people deserve a word of recommendation. And my recommendation is - do not eat here.

No puedo hablar de la calidad de la comida, ya que solo he tomado bebidas abajo. En las dos ocasiones que he visitado, los camareros han sido groseros. Más recientemente (miércoles) pregunté si podíamos cortar un pastel para el cumpleaños de un amigo, y el tipo del bar me trató como si le hubiera pedido que horneara el pastel él mismo (la respuesta fue no, como era de esperar, pero el tono clientelar y acusatorio no era necesario... 'mira a tu alrededor, no hay comida aquí, ¿cuál crees que es la respuesta?'). Bastante bien, entiendo totalmente que es una sección sin comida, pero él podría haber hecho al menos un intento de modales básicos / cortesía, especialmente como yo acababa de toser más de 8 libras por una pinta de cerveza y una lima y refresco. Lugares mucho más agradables para una pinta en la zona que apreciarán mucho más su servicio, evite este.
