The English Chippy Brians in Manchester

Called tonight for fish and chips...well what can i say AMAZING...best fish and chips i have ever tasted and i am 88 years of age I wish i lived nearer but will be back.The fish[cod] to die for the chips superb....portions huge.....we will be back.ps the Batter on the fish was breathtaking!!!!!!!!!!also the price???i couldnt believe how cheap plus the owner was so nice..........

Fish en chips take away van top kwaliteit aan een scherpe prijs. Als je het niet weet loop je zo voorbij. Chef doet het met volle overgave. Doet zelfs temperatuur meting van nuggets/frikandellen. 👍

Sadly, Brian has apparently retired and the shop is under new ownership. The good news though is that the fish are still epic.

Brian runs one of the best and most genuine chippies in Manchester curry sauce is great too! A small shop but delicious fish and chips. Some of the best in Manchester had many a meal from here over the years

Das Essen ist auch für den günstigen Preis und die riesigen Mengen maximal als befriedigend zu bezeichnen. Immerhin es wurde uns nicht schlecht. Der Service war schroff aber korrekt. Mit uns waren viele Bauarbeiter in diesem Imbiss ohne Sitzplätze. Für sie war es sicherlich genau die richtige Mittagsmahlzeit. Wir hatten Fisch und Chips und es war die grösste Menge, die ich je in England bekommen hatte, aber auch die schlechteste Qualität, besonders bei den Chips.

This is an absolute gem , best fish and chips I’ve ever had and so reasonably priced , go before most MCFC home games 10/10 , keep up the fab work !

I’ve been going to this great chippy for years, Brian is a master fryer and his fish are legendary, no nonsense quality food.

Classic Fish and Chips.... but also fish cakes or sausage. Been using this place for over 10 years and it's standards are very high. Brian has a wicked sense of humour. Definitely recommend

The fish from there is so nice I won't have fish from any other chippy coz it not Brian and Brian is all way in a happy mood he so nice take the time out to chat wive u all his food is nice but the fish is the 1 👌

Great value very generous portions and Brian is brilliant. The perfect place to visit before watching the super blues.

Working in Manchester for the week and really struggled to find a decent chip shop. This is a bit like walking into someone's front room with I fish counter in it. The chap didn't smile much and just got on with the job in hand (my kind of bloke). The fish is cooked to order and was excellent, and proper chips. Many boarded up houses surround this little gem with limited opening hours (12 -6), I get the feeling they might not be there much longer but sincerely hope this little place is. A little step back in time in the shadow of the cash lavished etihad stadium. Well worth seeking out.

Go at least once a week to get the family fish and chips. The fish and chips are so tasty I never bother going anywhere else in the area. Great service by the owner Brian. Highly recommend

Normally a great deal on Pie, Chips, Peas & Gravy too! Very reasonable prices too - highly recommended! Don't vex Brian, mind!

Been to brians many a time. Never seen fish from a chippy as big as these from brians. He is a lovely bloke and can have banter with him. The chips pies and all other food is nice. Would recommend to anybody.

A little gem hidden in the rough!! Well worth a visit with a really generous piece of fish with a good portion of chips at a reasonable price - what more could you ask?! 😊

This is a great chippy, they have the usual stuff at good prices, not the rip off prices nearby just because its near to the Etihad stadium. The bonus is the Scallops, I'd not had one since I was a kid and they are great, Jamie Oliver would have a stroke at the thought of eating one so thats good enough for me !!.
