The best restaurants in Ancoats and Clayton Manchester North West

Buzzing modern Thai eatery in the Northern Quarter. The menu consists of mostly small plates. The kohlrabi salad had an interesting mix of peanut and fish sauce. The monkfish yellow curry was bursting with Thai flavours. Small pieces of monkfish were topped with slices of perfect scallops and prawns. I had some chicken rice with it. The rice was delicious )although some would have preferred a plain rice to not interfere with the curry.) The pickled and burnt gem lettuce was delicious too! I finished off with the coconut caramel which was a small cube with a delicate hint of tumeric. The service was efficient and the restaurant was buzzing with a large table of Thai customers enjoying themselves. I would definitely return! The bill came to £45 without alcohol. (The reservation required a £20 deposit.)

Called tonight for fish and chips...well what can i say AMAZING...best fish and chips i have ever tasted and i am 88 years of age I wish i lived nearer but will be back.The fish[cod] to die for the chips superb....portions huge.....we will be back.ps the Batter on the fish was breathtaking!!!!!!!!!!also the price???i couldnt believe how cheap plus the owner was so nice..........

Absolutely astonishingly good food, beautifully prepped and inspired combinations. You couldn't get a better lunch for £9.All vegan all the time but never feels like anything is missing when it's all this good. My only regret is not living or working on this side of town.

Aunque justo en el borde del Barrio Norte, esto tiene una sensación diferente a la mayoría de los bares de allí. Es un lugar relajado que atrae a una multitud madura y, aunque puede estar ocupado, tiene un ambiente realmente agradable. Mantienen la cerveza muy bien y tienen una buena selección de precios razonables. Intente obtener los asientos junto a la ventana mientras disfruta de una excelente vista de todo lo que sucede afuera. Además, hay un jardín de cerveza que no muchos conocen y que bien merece una visita.

We enjoyed breakfast here too. A very generous portion of scrambled eggs on toast. Also Danish pastry - rhubarb and custard - delicious and not too sweet. Lovely friendly cafe with plenty of working space.

Best vlaamse frites style chips outside of amsterdam, the citrus salt & garlic & truffle butter are amazing

Lovely location on a sunny Sunday morning, next to the canal. The coffee and milkshakes ordered were both delicious…..

Our third time at Diecast and another really nice evening out, on our first visit we got to meet Noel the owner and on each visit his friendly charm and customer service seems to be part of the ethos of the place as the staff are all so friendly & helpful. The offering on Sunday was pizza or Sunday lunch, as a family we ordered both and everything was just perfect. The place is warm and comfortable and a great venue. We will be back again soon!

Un pequeño pub tradicional muy acogedor y feliz de ayudar xx fuimos antes de mostrar en cooperativo en vivo principalmente para ver el rugby. El personal era maravilloso y muy servicial nada demasiado problema x los precios de la bebida muy muy razonable Gracias por una gran tarde

Enjoyed a wonderful Vegan and Gluten Free meal here. The tumeric latte was incredible. The cafe is run by a lovely lady who is attentive and welcoming.

DELIGHTED to have found this place. ... UNEXPECTED AMAZEMENT ... via the vegan, sugar-free, gluten-free, HOMEMADE from scratch goodies in the window ... I brought lunch boxes to bring home some of Lydia's fabulous treats and creations back to Ireland. At prices that were BEYOND reasonable. While waiting for the precious treasure to be packed into said lunchboxes, happened to see that other products in the shop were also of a very high quality. As well as of a very reasonable price point. WHERE has this place been all my life ??? Aaaaaaaand there is a Therapy Room(s) beyond too. I'd love to offer a workshop or similar there, some time in future. Someone pinch me , I must be hallucinating how great this place is.
