Booked months ago to eat gefore going to see Hayley Ellis perform at the Frog and Bucket next door. I had a starter of chicken satay skewers and my husband had prawns in rice paper. Both were delicious but my goodness the prawn dish was just superb. Then he and I shared Crispy beef in sweet chilli sauce and we also shared egg fried rice and soft noodles with my sister and her husband who had the chicken version. We all agreed it was the best we had ever had. The specials on the board were written in Chinese, so obviously we hadnt ordered them but oh my goodness, they looked superb when they came out for the next table... so we asked (for next time!) Oyster stew - and then a lobster dish that both looked and smelled spectacular. Will definitely go back again. 😌

After buying £20 worth of food from this chippy,it was a total waste of money. My salt and pepper chicken was actually chicken nuggets,my dim sum was burnt,I dont know how you burn dim sum as you steam dim sum and it taste was awful. The best was the chips, they were oven chips, you definitely wouldn't expect that from a chippy. I can only advise to avoid this chippy.

Hands down, some of the best food I’ve had recently! They use the freshest ingredients and make sure each dish is done the right way. The Crayfish with ginger and spring onion and steamed razor clam with vermicelli were especially memorable. Must try.

No, gracias 3 Osos. No quiero volver a comer arroz.

Hi. What is wrong with your prevous advisors? I am an 86yo male and have not been to Wing Yip for FIVE years. After reading the various mails I was in doubt of going. HOWEVER , I DECIDED TO BE BRAVE! The journey from Bury to Manchester was a bit stop and go due to the road works being carried out on the A56. I continued and arrived at Wing Yip. Remembering the comments I drove into their car park on the ground floor and parked in a disabled bay putting my blue badge on the dashboard. The main sign stated that 90mins was the max stay time. No problem. I went into the store and checked the shelves for what I was looking for. Found it within 3 minutes. I then viewed the food fridges but found the prices had risen since my last visit. However, I found the staff to be just as efficient and helpful as I remembered. I accept the prices are higher than I remember, but that is reasonable due to the current increase in all prices over the last five years. For instance daily newpapers are much higher that they were five years ago. Being a pensioner and considering the current expectations, I kept my money in my account and purchased just what I had gone there for which are the same price as buying on the internet. I have decided that the 'nasty' mails which have been shown on the website are written by typical modern people who expect Chinese staff to clean the floor before they walk on it and clean the customers shoes, just to be sure! As I stated, the staff I spoke to were all as respectful and helpful as they possibly could be. I DO accept that I probably won't go there again in the near future simply because I can get the foods which I eat nowadays from stores nearer to where I live.
