Companio Bakery in Manchester

So glad we visited. Food was gorgeous and service fantastic. As good as everyone has said. Seabass cooked to perfection and the most amazing French onion soup. Would absolutely visit again.

What a MASSIVE surprise! Nordie is very understated but such a great place. Soap Street Pizza have taken over the kitchen and the food is outstanding. We have eaten pizza in Italy and New York but, I’m not joking, this was the best we’ve ever had. The menu is not huge but the craftsmanship and combinations are superb. So thin and moreish. We went down to Manchester for this from Lancaster and to catch up with our daughter and we only talked about the food. Service was casual and lovely and the Negronis were excellent. Not expensive at all for what you get and what looked like some great craft beers and specially selected ‘low impact’ wines. We stayed for another drink and to look again at the menu to choose what we’re having next time. Three Italians on the table next to us stayed all night and were hugging the two chefs on leaving. Don’t hesitate to go.
