Maricarmen in Manchester

Tuvimos una noche fabulosa en Mari Carmen, la comida y el servicio era 10 / 10. Un saludo especial de James nuestro camarero, él era muy atento y respondió a todas nuestras preguntas con una sonrisa en su cara. Mi esposa tomó las Gambas con salsa verde, que debo decir que estaban realmente deliciosas.

Buena comida y servicio. Las mejores tapas que he probado fuera de España. Grandes ofertas en bebidas si llegas antes de las 6 pm. Iría de nuevo.

Fui a ver de qué se trataba el bombo, deffo Love the vibe, concepto de tabla a £ 3 por tabla de tapas, la comida era deliciosa, absolutamente sin duda sobre eso . . Pero... las porciones son tan pequeñas, que tendrías que gastar una pequeña fortuna para tener el vientre lleno seguro, bastante seguro de que serviste estas porciones a un español del que te reirías, así que, ¿qué hace que esté bien aquí? Así que, por supuesto, no esperaba el tipo de porciones que España llama tapas, pero ciertamente esperaba un poco más de lo que recibí. Por ejemplo, una porción de tabla de 3 alitas de pollo diminutas, otra 1 rebanada de pan crujiente con una cobertura, etc., se hace a la idea. Salimos tan hambrientos como entramos, yo tenía lo que se describió como una ensalada de atún, algunos tomates, alcaparras y vinagre balsámico y 1 tira de atún en la parte superior omg, vamos en serio, le pregunté si podía tener un poco de pan para mojar en el balsámico y esto en realidad se trajo en una tabla . . . Así que son 3 rebanadas de pan crujiente por £ 3 , un ojo que riega una libra entera por rebanada . . Wtaf... Estaba en una segunda cita, así que no me cuestioné esto en ese momento siendo demasiado educado, pero le habría dicho que lo devolviera si hubiera estado en otra compañía. En conclusión, realmente no siento que este pequeño paseo fuera una relación calidad-precio en absoluto, el ambiente y el personal eran encantadores, pero definitivamente no recomendaría, y definitivamente no volvería.

Llamé a la oportunidad de una mesa. Nosotros lo nuevo fue tapas pero no el concepto. Fue brillante la comida del personal y la forma en que se sirve. Buen precio también. Volveré a visitarte.

La cena del lunes por la noche y no sabíamos a dónde ir y pensamos en darle una oportunidad a este lugar, no nos decepcionó! El personal fue muy amable de principio a fin Bonita música española No nos dimos cuenta de que el concepto significaba que te mostramos / servimos varias bandejas de tapas diferentes y puedes elegir tantas como quieras y cada tapa cuesta £ 3 El concepto es realmente refrescante y toma la presión de ordenar Todas las tapas eran preciosas y una buena mezcla de carne y pescado vegetales Definitivamente suficiente en términos de llenarte también!

cold and tasteless calamari, no allergen training, dishes meant to be gluten free but they weren't so my night got ruined still feeling bad

Came here with my friend for dinner and a catch up. She recently spent a year in Spain and was missing the food and wow, Maricarmen was the place to go. Super friendly staff, rapid service and the food was beautiful. I will be making this place one of my regular haunts!

All of the tapas are incredible. Particularly the mushroom truffle croquetta and the calamari. Wonderful service and everything for such great value. Will definitely be back!

Visitamos este restaurante el otro día después de buscar recomendaciones sobre TikTok. Fue una gran relación calidad-precio, ya que visitamos durante el almuerzo entre semana menú horas (£ 3 por tapas!). Las jarras de sangría eran preciosas también. Sin duda recomendaría visitar este lugar.

Gran pequeño lugar de tapas. Todo el personal era encantador. A pesar de que era un sábado por la noche muy concurrido y había un montón de walk ins esperando mesas, no tuvimos prisa. Todos los platos que elegimos eran muy sabrosos. Y una gran botella de vino para lavarlo todo. Volveremos a visitar la próxima vez que estemos en Manchester.

I visited for the £3 lunch service with friends and we all left very impressed. There was a great variety of different dishes and plenty of vegetarian options. The staff were friendly and when we asked for a particular dish we’d seen others eating, they made sure to bring it over. There’s a good selection of drinks and my friends really enjoyed the desserts too. Can’t wait to come back!

We went in for the el tablio tapas menu. This is available at certain times and each tapas dish is £3 This is a really good idea but ultimately we were disappointed. There weren’t many other people in so some of the dishes obviously get re-circulated if no one takes them. The first calamari dish we took was stone cold and the others we took weren’t much warmer. We asked for two to be sent back to be heated up which the staff did. If the restaurant was full and new dishes were being made constantly then it would work but unfortunately we weren’t that impressed. Some of the dishes we had were very tasty but the temperature of some of the others let them down. The staff came round frequently with a selection of tapas which was good and they were very accommodating for my girlfriend’s birthday when I brought in a cake for the occasion which was great. We might return for the normal menu as we think it could be better!

While the food is delicious and good value, it's let down by poor service. I arrived a little early to my booking, and was kindly shown to my table to wait for the rest of the guests. However, after that it was very difficult to get hold of any of the staff. The problem stems from the food delivery style. It's a bit like Yo Sushi without the conveyor belt, in as much as the kitchen preps some dishes, and the waiting staff bring it round and offer to you what they have for you to take or leave. However, because the staff are heavily focused on that process, they seem to neglect things like drinks orders, or generally looking around the restaurant for people trying to get their attention. We asked for the bill four times before it came, and then waited a further 5 minutes for the card machine. With that in mind, the food itself was reliably delicious, with the pork and steak being two of the best dishes. If the owners can tweak the service slightly, they'll be on to a winner.

Terrible allergen awareness. Was served two dishes that were not gluten free despite assurances they were. Made ill by their incompetence.

Love the concept - you order drinks and the staff come around with trays of tapas and you choose the ones you want. There were a variety of tapas dishes - some felt Mexican, others reminded me of things you might get from different parts of Spain like the Basque Country and the Canary Islands. Plenty of vegetarian options as well as meat and fish dishes. The staff were really friendly as well. We arrived on a Friday without a reservation and the staff were really lovely, accommodating us even though the place was full and there were lots of bookings. Next time we'll definitely reserve in advance!

This authentic Spanish tapas bar is located in a nicely air-conditioned building on Ancoats Street. We very much appreciated the air-conditioning on a very hot day. They have quite a small selection on the lunch menu. It is reasonably priced but think more of the tapas size in Spain rather than the larger sizes that are common in the UK. We enjoyed all the dishes and the service was very friendly.

Great atmosphere - the team obviously all work well together and service was excellent. The food is some of the best tapas I’ve eaten. Fresh, tasty and good portions - not too massive but enough.

Been a couple of times now, and love it! Feels authentically Spanish, food is great, drinks are great, staff are lovely.

What a place, the best tapas I've had in this country, it's better than some I've had in Spain. Big thank you to the awesome staff too, the service is so warm and friendly especially thank you to Ariana who managed to get us a table when we hadn't booked and still managed to get us a table when it rained outside. We will be back, you have to try this place. (Patatas Bravas was honestly the best I've had and that's my favourite)

My wife and I have just had a lovely evening at Maricarmen . The best Tapas I've eaten , full of flavour and lovely staff . This is hard to beat.

The food is phenomenal, staff are lovely and so knowledgeable and message my mum and I feel incredibly welcome. I'm recommending to everyone
