Proper chippy in the NQ, two lovely lady’s (vicky and Bianca) who served me and, and the food was great.

It was very BIG BIG meal for a Man. I was happy with it! Ladies very kind and helpfull. Go and try it!

I recently visited this local fish and chip shop and decided to try something different—a spicy burger. I was blown away by how delicious it was! The burger was perfectly cooked with just the right amount of spice, making each bite incredibly flavorful. The portion size was generous, and the quality exceeded my expectations. It was a classic chipper and although it is recommended by many, I found the food nothing special. Even though the store was empty when we walked in, the tables were all dirty. Food was freshly prepared for us, which I thought was very good. Unfortunately it was dripping with oil. Chips were warm but looked like they were just reheated. It was OK to fill you up, but nothing more.

Online hours are incorrect, been twice now and both times have been closed with online stating they are open

Horrendous. Chips were hard and dry as if they were old and had juts been refried. Inedible - both potions went in the bin. Fish - thin and dry. Don’t order from here.

such a lovely experience. the lady in the shop was so accommodating and friendly. she gave a meal for free for someone who was less fortunate and i think thats something we should all practice. food was great, would 10/10 recommend!

Moved to the area 6 months ago and never ventured in but went tonight for the first time and it did not disappoint. It exceeded expectations. The decision was justified by the food for sure, chips banging, fish banging, barms buttered n banging would not think twice about ordering here again. Believe the hype. What a spot xo

Was recommended this place by my Dad who tried it a few months ago, was not disappointed. Amazing place with delicious fish and chips, the best I had in Manchester. Very friendly and generous, had to come back again the second the day. Special thanks to Victoria for being friendly and hospitable. Will definitely recommend it to others.

Loved the Fish Chips and Peas. Such a shame that it looks so drab Inside. We wanted proper chippy and we half got that.

Great fish and chips. The food was great. Fish portions were large and not expensive. The woman who runs the place was really sweet. Liked that you could order the fish and chips separately.

The food was great, really loved it. Was a lot cheaper than some of the other chip shops in northern quarter and ancoats. Proper chip shop definitely the best I have had in Manchester. The staff were really lovely too. This will be where i go for fish and chips from now on.

I don't ever write a review but I just had to after visiting this place. I was hesitant to get fish and chips because you can never find nice chippy's anymore but this was the best decision I made. Fresh fish and batter, beautifully cooked chips, and thick smooth gravy with gorgeous green mushy peas. Not to mention the fab service by truly northern girls (the blonde and ginger one - not sure of their name sorry!). I will definitely visit again and tell everyone about this place. Yum yum yum going to sleep it off now lol thank you

Had a craving for some fish & chips and this place popped up on google maps. Wasn’t disappointed . Lovely Scottish haddock with freshly fried chips. Friendly service from the owners. Will be back !

I popped in on the way to do some shopping. Was recommended this chippy and was not dissapointed,whilst the chips were a tad pale they were extremley nice. Customer service was top notch hence why they got a tip.will deffo be going back so I can try one of their infamous pies. Overall very good.prices are very good especially given the location so no complaints.See you guys again soon.

Hello EVERYONE! Perfect fish and chips... not joking!!! Always consistent.... I know the secret... fresh fish and some family recipe for the batter. Feels like your next to the coast. Always get my chippy here.. with they were open later, it's that good!!! Wonderful friendly staff always got a smile 😃

Fab fish - had the Scottish Haddock and it was ace. Cooked to perfection in thin and crispy batter and the service is fab - love this place!

Proper Northern hospitality! First time in and treated like a regular. Super friendly staff and very tasty sausage and chips. Around a tenner for tea for two. Can't wait to be back in town to stop again! Lots of in and out with takeaway which is always a good sign!!

ordered from here as my usual chippy was shut but oh my god this is now my new usual!! chips were lovely & portion sizes really good too. gravy was also absolutely amazing & i put in the notes if i could have scraps and they sent them 🥹food was amazing !

We called in here for our tea on Good Friday after reading the reviews and we were not disappointed. The 2 staff were very friendly and we didn’t have long to wait for our food. There was a generous portion and the haddock was just perfect. A proper mug of tea too - this was definitely the best fish and chips I have had in a long time. Definitely recommended.

Possibly,probably my first ever chippy as a child in the early 70's, so pleased it still there, and always look forward to a chance to nip in for some memories...Needless to day, a great chippy. I'm now 60!

Overall food was of great quality but the curry sauce was advertised as on the side and not directly only the meal so food arrived soggy. Would of much preferred to have sauce in a separate pot

The food order arrived complete and hot and very tasty. the delivery driver called me on arrival and a VAT receipt was available as I asked. I would certainly order again on my next visit.

My mum and I had a few hours to kill in Manchester. I suggested we look for a chippy. My mum was worried that since it was in a trendy part of Manchester that it might be “trendy” fish and chips. Thankfully they serve high quality traditional fish and chips. Honestly, they couldn’t do anything to improve since they were perfect. Followed up with a pint of Robinson’s at the Castle Hotel one street over. No better way to spend an afternoon.

Food was absolutely disgusting the batter to the fish was soggy and the fish was like chewing rubber, the chips were very undercooked and the curry was extremely lumpy, the restaurant kept pushing back the times for delivery we waited over an hour to have the worst experience of all what a disappointment I’ll never order again absolutely disgusting

Being only visiting this area of Manchester for a 1 week holiday, the wife and I were looking for some nice chip shop food, and we found it here, very nice fish and the batter is excellent, the staff are very friendly / helpful / and polite. Will definitely use this chippy on our next visit.

This is by far the best Fish and Chips shop I have been to in The UK. The Haddock is absolutely fresh, delicious, soft, and the batter used is out of this world. The Chips are freshly cut and think. Everything is very nom nom. Customer service is fantastic, attending to the Customer needs and very attentive to all requests. To top it all, price is spot on, considering the quality you get and being a local shop in Manchester's popular Northern Quarter. I tried their delicious food once, and now it is a weekly habit to go, have a laugh and a chat, and get my full size haddocks :) A MUST GO.
