The best restaurants serving British food in Riverside Liverpool North West

Nice clean and atmospheric pub, lively light display for the music and ambience. Quick service at the bar and food came out in double quick time. Excellent central location and it is a huge pub.

Had the pork belly starter...tasty and hot, but the sauce has coriander as a major ingredient. I managed to mostly scrape it off and pick round it...but if you hate the devil herb then you have been warned! Then I had the seafood crockpot. Was very hot and tasty. 2 cocktails Beach therapy....my fav and the Italian job which was a bit too almondy for me (I still drank it). Service was quick and friendly. The ambiance was lovely. If I didn't live 4 hours away I could see this becoming a regular thing.

Billed as Soul Sunday. Nothing like. Radio Head 'I'm a creep' isn't in my Tamla Motown playback. Nothing like the afternoon that was billed. Very disappointing. Don't waste your money

Pretty poor, ordered tea and an earl grey tea £2.90 each. Expected a pot but given a mug with a tea strainer. Both teas too strong and undrinkable. Staff indifferent at best

Steaks cooked to perfection, really friendly staff and great wine. The place looks good the food is even better and great friendly staff with very good knowledge of wine.Highly recommend!!

Food fairly average - salad a bit tired looking and tasting. Staff were very rude and offhand, which was a shame . Wouldn't bother again.

This is my must go to place when I visit Liverpool but I cannot understand why it isn’t more busy. The staff are always friendly and present and you can watch the world go by if you get a window seat. I would say they need more staff especially to cover staff when they go on their lunch break. We arrived at 1pm for the place to be closed, but told to come back after 2pm

Siempre está ocupado, te sirven rápidamente y la Guinness está bien mantenido. La comida está bien, un poco chainy pero es barato así suficiente. Siempre un buen ambiente, grandes deportes y siempre en un lugar en el que disfrutar.

We had a lovely dinner here, thank you. The food was delicious and the sample menu was of exceptional value. My only critique was that the chicken was a tad too salty, but really it was a lovely evening. Thank you.

It was a good experience to visit the pub with a pint of Staropramen. I heard that this place is a traditional old English pub located in the historic Cains brewery building.

Ain’t been to this great pub for a while so looked forward to a proper beer. Alas it’s followed the trend of not serving beer. On draught we had 3 lagers a cider, a pale ale (pale ale is probably the most disgusting ale I’ve ever had the misfortune to taste) and a stout. No bitter or golden or amber ale. What’s happened to this place? Still a nice pub but for gods sake get your beer sorted

I enjoyed a pub grub meal here although not cheap. The weirdest thing was when I asked for another drink there was no table service - I would have had to go to the bar again. The food was tasty though and the decor light and modern.
