I enjoyed a pub grub meal here although not cheap. The weirdest thing was when I asked for another drink there was no table service - I would have had to go to the bar again. The food was tasty though and the decor light and modern.

Stayed at Jury's Inn so thought we'd try the restaurant. Food was really good, my 13yr old loved the pizza! Have to say the staff in the restaurant and reception are awesome. I can't fault them for service or friendliness. Louise, our waitress was super lovely and we both blame her for a new addiction of the Smores Cake!!!

While staying at the fabulous Jury Inn on Albert dock we thought we would give the hotel bar/restaurant Oddsocks a try ( to be fair after a long day sightseeing we left it to late to book in anywhere else) Well we sat anywhere as advised by the manager, in the almost empty dinning area ( should have been a clue) We ordered drinks bottle of white wine, pink gin and tonic and coke. The wine glass had a pink lipstick imprint on it so took it to the bar for clean one, the coke was flat. I again returned this to the bar for a replacement when I sat down to enjoy my gin discovered the tonic was flat, by this stage I was loosing the will to live, but because the gin was for myself I didn’t even bother to return it but both my sisters tasted it to confirm it was flat and not just my imagination. We ordered fish and chips and when I saw it I was very disappointed all 3 were very dark batter it in fact looked like it had been returned to the Frier to be made brittle and very dark not at all appetising. I felt really sorry for the young girl they sent over to check if everything was ok but we didn’t go off at her it wasn’t her fault we just said we didn’t want to talk about it. A very nice young man eventually came over and asked us if he could resolve our problem we told him that we appreciate that it wasn’t his fault, then told him the issues showing him the large pile of dark crisp batter we had removed from the fish. He offered to try and get some compensation for our upset but we explained that we didn’t want compensation we had just wanted to sit down for a relaxing dinner which hadn’t happened. The manager stayed well away from us and when the young man had suggested to Him over the bar that he would’ve coming to speak to us I heard the manager say to him that’s entirely up to you if you want to do that. When you manage a restaurant the buck stops with you. I’m sure because we had complained about the stained wine glass and the flat coke he had in his mind labelled us as whiners. The restaurant let down the otherwise lovely hotel

Oddsocks is located inside Jury's inn. I just had a burger and Joyce has a salad. It's not cheap. But food was good.

Popped in here for a drink before going to Michael Buble at the Arena. Considering they would know there was a huge show on at the arena they hadn't done any forward planning, so didn't have enough staff to deal with the number of customers. Special mention to Jorge though, who was verbally abused by a very impatient, irrate and rude customer but handled it very professionally.

Food was just okay, if it is ever open. Often closed for private groups staying at the hotel, leaving the rest of the guests out of luck, and they could care less. Disappointing

Service at bar incredibly slow. One girl on her own and she just seemed to deal with the same few people who pushed their way to the front. So everyone else was waiting getting annoyed whilst others served twice. We waited 50mins for one portion of chips. It wasn’t even like it was packed out. Went to bar to ask and was told they’d send chips out but couldn’t find us. Funny because we’d sat there looking constantly as our daughter was hungry and wanted something to eat before a show at the arena. Got my money back and we left without havin received any food. Poor service. Not entirely the young girls faily on the bar. She should’ve had decent back up. But she does need to practice how best to deal with serving people at a bar in a fair way

My other half and i had half an hr to put in yesterday while waiting for the Beatles bus tour at the Albert dock....i had been to Liverpool before for a hen party and had stayed around the corner at the Block apartments and had came here for a drink before i decided we could pop in for a quick drink before the bus tour. We waited almost 15minutes at the bar before anyone served us despite several staff members walking by and seeing us standing there. I ordered a Malibu and lemonade and was told they dont sell Malibu although a bottle was visible on the shelf behind the bar. I never questioned the bar man as i was already angry at the wait so just ordered a pink gin and lemonade and a Guinness for my other half. The Guinness had more running down the sides of the glass than there was in it and when we got a table and i took a drink it was actually tonic instead of lemonade. I dislike tonic and couldnt drink it, my other half drunk about half the pint and we got up and left. Will never be back here again. The service was appalling and the staff dont have a clue how to take a drinks order!

......but what a chummy lot behind the bar! Thoroughly enjoyable. One of those rare places where someone remembers what you had to drink and serves you accordingly. But Liverpool seems to breed that type of person!

This restaurant has been refurbed in the last twelve months and really does show the benefit. It now looks and feels the part, and the food doesn't disappoint either. Oddsocks does what it sets out to do very well: don't expect Michelin star dishes.

Staying in Jurys Hotel and ate at the restaurant on last evening at hotel. They had an issue with their fryer so we had to amend our initial choices. Food and service was very good overall. Whilst we wood have preferred sitting in restaurant, it was ok, and comfortable.

Pub and bar hopping around this part of the city on a rather cold November night my twin brother and I decided to drop by The Fall Well Pub,been here before on many occasions, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit to here. A big Wetherspoon pub, interior is superb, a long serving bar dominates the main room, typical Wetherspoon decor and furnishings, photo's of old Liverpool adorning the walls and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling shopping streets around this pub, its just a really good Wetherspoon pub to chill out in. We had a study of their real ale's, in the end we both opted to have Coach House Brewery " tnt cracker barrel " this dark real ale was served in pristine condition, we luckily managed to get a table were we chilled out and warmed up while we sipped our ale's. My ale was really good, dark, malty, full of flavours, a proper winter ale indeed, its hardly surprising to me why this Wetherspoon pub is so popular with real ale's of this quality. We really enjoyed our ale's in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to The Fall Well Pub we had a great pub experience. The Fall Well Pub is easy to locate along St John's Way. Opening hours are; Monday to Thursday, 8am till 11.30pm. Friday & Saturday, 8am till midnight. Sunday, 8am till 11.30pm. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Reminiscent of Littlewoods caf circa 1973. Enough said. Bagel inedible. Tea not made with boiling water. Dreary staff and surroundings. Come on John Lewis. You are taking the mick.

Claims to be 24 hours, went to go do my quiet weekly shop at 4am and it's closed, (second time in 3 months) listed as open on google and ASDAs website.... I know its for a stock count, but nothing was posted on the shop front.. even a week before I wasn't warned by the staff member who knows I come in that time every week, who i have other complaints about (not giving me bags till after I pay i say how many bags i've used, A. slowing my shopping down, B. making me have to guess how many bags I'm going to use {most of which end up splitting because of the weight}) not to mention how lazy the security can be at times, as I've been threatened to be stabbed by 'the down and outs' when i refuse to give em a quid , reported it and security has said 'not our problem'
