Pan Am Bar & Restaurant in Liverpool

Had the pork belly starter...tasty and hot, but the sauce has coriander as a major ingredient. I managed to mostly scrape it off and pick round it...but if you hate the devil herb then you have been warned! Then I had the seafood crockpot. Was very hot and tasty. 2 cocktails Beach therapy....my fav and the Italian job which was a bit too almondy for me (I still drank it). Service was quick and friendly. The ambiance was lovely. If I didn't live 4 hours away I could see this becoming a regular thing.

Myself and a few girls went to panam for a bottomless brunch and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was amazing and the music was good. The views of the docks are beautiful and the food and drinks were lovely too. We were served by Josh and he was amazing! We will be returning and hoping we are lucky enough to have Josh again!

Came here for a little stop during our river of light walk on the weekend. we had a lovely meal and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere and food. our waitress was called Chantelle and she was amazing. greeted us as soon as we sat, got us table water without asking, and asked us questions about our plans for the night. it was the cherry on top of a nice meal. A lovely experience at Panams. Super thoughtful Lewis on the front desk managed to get my wife and I seated not having booked a table on a very busy Sunday night. Chilled ambience and smoothing music added to the excellent food, served to us by an attentive and smiling waitress, Chantelle. All just right, nothing too pushy and a great way to relax and eat in the Docks area. Lewis even refused to accept my tip ( a note, too!) as he held the door open for us on rhe way out. Classy.

Lovely evening meal with friends, amazing venue and they seated us all on one long table upstairs which was great. Food was delicious and our server Connor was outstanding and made our experience one to remember.

We came in for bottomless brunch for my hen do, our waiter, Connor, gave us such great service. Straight away came over to introduce himself, really friendly and knowledgeable. He was really on it with keeping us hydrated! We were really happy with the food and drinks, but Connor really made it.

We came to Panam for bottomless brunch for my daughter’s Hen party. Connor was absolutely brilliant, very attentive and made sure that we were never without a drink, the food was really good as well. Would definitely come back next time we’re in Liverpool 😁

Having been to PanAm before, I was most disappointed with our experience yesterday evening. Things went well at first with a friendly waitress who told us it was her first shift (she was a lovely girl). She took our order for drinks and when these were brought over, she took our food order for starters and mains. After about twenty minutes our starters came and were very nice. When we had finished our table was cleared and we chatted whilst we waited for the next course. The restaurant had got more busy, but not overly so. After about 30 minutes, we ordered some more drinks and enquired about our mains as other tables who came in after us were being served. It was not our waitress but another one, who was indifferent to our question and looked totally uninterested. She said she’d “check in the kitchen” and then never returned with an update or answer. After a further 15 minutes we were impatient and hungry. We enquired again and the same waitress gave us the same line, no apology, no excuse, no reason. Once again she never returned. Five minutes later our mains arrived, again no apologies or acknowledgement for the delay. We started our meals and 3 of the 6 were luke warm or cold. When the server came to ask if everything was alright we informed them of the cold food but refused to exchange as by this stage we didn’t want to wait for our food any longer! A few minutes later the supervisor/manager came over checking out the problem. We explained about the cold food and she offered to exchange, which we again declined. She offered a round of drinks, but as we had not long ordered another round (and most were drinking water) we politely declined. We completed our meal and requested the bill. No acknowledgement, no apology, no discount! Even as we left, we only got “thanks for coming”, no acknowledgement from the manager or any type of apology. To add insult to injury, upon checking the receipt after payment they had included a tip of £17!! I feel angry and disappointed at our treatment, and we will not be returning.

It was my third time doing the bottomless brunch here; and the reason I booked it again is because the service is normally excellent. I was very disappointed on this occasion. The food and first drink were really quick, the second drink took half an hour; and that’s not great service when you only get an hour and a half! We got 4 drinks in total, and normally I get at least 7 drinks in that time. As soon as our time was up we were hurried to pay and rushed off our table. Very disappointed.

Whenever I visit new places, I try to enjoy the local foods. So many restaurants and pubs serve similar fare so I was delighted to find dishes unique to Liverpool on Panam's menu including their Scouse Scouse which was a beef stew with carrots, and potatoes. Interestingly, it was very close to the beef stew I'm familiar with in Trinidad so it was a truly pleasant experience for me and also brought back memories of home while sitting in the middle of the Royal Albert dock in Liverpool. In Trinidad, I'd have it with white rice. It was a lot of food so I was happy it didn't come with that but it did come with crusty bread and pickled cabbage which I happily shared with my hubby who had their chicken pate and loved it. The staff were very cool and conversational and I loved that. I loved the system where anyone could serve you. It made for ordering drinks easy. Special mention of Lewis who was very attentive and who shared his love and enthusiasm for all things Liverpool with us. The whole place is amazing. It would have bee great to come back for an event as the back seemed cool for hanging out and playing pool.

One of the BEST bottomless brunches I’ve ever been too! The jukebox insta story is so quirky and nothing I’ve even seen before! Chantelle and Megan were amazing so helpful and kept the secco flowing! Would definitely recommend!

Went with my wife whilst visiting Albert Dock before a ferry journey, menu was very enticing and when we went inside I really liked the booths and seating arrangement, staff were super friendly and very efficient, the menu choices were really varied and there were many things I wanted to try, I ended up having Cajun chicken pasta and my wife had a pie & chips, I also got some french fries (truly amazing!) I fully enjoyed the pasta dish as did my wife with her pie meal, we didn't have any alcoholic drinks or cocktails but there seemed to be a very good selection, the place is very big and well laid out although it was fairly quiet when we visited (around 5pm) there looked like there would be space for many diners, the food also came out nice and quick, no long waits here! We will be visiting Liverpool again next month and we will definitely be visiting here again as there are many more items on the menu we would like to try. Faultless in every way and in lovely waterside surroundings, a beautiful experience.

Had a great day at Pan Am. Stayed there for about 6 hours! We had a bottomless brunch which was great value, the food was better than we expected, nothing fancy but very good, tasty, well presented stuff. Had about 8 drinks each in the allotted 1.5 hours, so for 39 quid each including the food it was super value. Doubles on the spirits too!! Super quick drinks service, the staff were friendly, all groovy!! 😁

We were vising liverpool for a 2 day break but ended up staying 4 days due to storm Kathleen. We were staying at the premier Inn Albert Dock so we know the dock area and restaurants really well. We visited here nearly every day for drinks and food. The menu is excellent loads of choice and plenty for our daughter to. The food was always served quickly and was piping hot. The meals were lovey. On the sunday we came for the Sunday roast and it was amazing a big plate and lovely beef. We were so impressed. The place was always busy but the staff always got us a seat and we were really well looked after. Friendly staff. We also played pool which was a lot of fun. My sister had booked bottomless brunch for her birthday (£39pp). I had requested to order from the main menu, as I cannot drink, but was told that this went against policy. I understand that in principle you don't want people taking the mickey, but when 18 people are paying for bottomless brunch it would be quite an elaborate scam for one person to not pay and try sneak a drink on the sly (which I imagine is the reason for this policy). I was told very clearly by the host that if I wanted to sit at the table, I had to order from this menu. Once seated, the waiter came to take our order - I asked what soft drinks he had available, to which I was told 'oh loads'. I said please can I see a menu, but was told they 'don't really have one'. I asked if they had elderflower cordial, and if so could I please have that with soda water. The waiter then told me that this would be at an added charged, and was not included in my bottomless brunch, despite it being alcohol free. In an effort to not cause a scene, I said that's fine and ordered a lemonade. To take a direct quote from the website: - No matter what you’re wearing, who you’re with or why you’re dining out- everyone is welcome at Panam. We have an incredibly diverse and flexible menu - However, this menu was not very flexible for somebody that does not drink. I still want to be able to come out and celebrate my sister's birthday, but felt like I was being penalised for not drinking alcohol. It's not that I was not willing to spend £39, but that I would rather spend that money on a proper meal, as we all know the focus of a bottomless brunch is the alcohol, and not the food. I would like to point out that the waiter who served our table, was really efficient, and apologetic - simply let me know that this was the policy and he agreed it was outrageous. I guess I just felt a bit disappointed, and a bit ripped off, and felt like this could have ben easily avoided at the shift managers discretion.

My fiance and I came here on a Saturday evening, we had the bottomless dinner - which was brilliant. Food hit the spot and wasn’t too heavy which allowed you to drink more. Considering it was a Saturday, the service was fantastic. They did have a brunch on where you messaged their Instagram to put songs on - after an hour we decided to ask.. but then they sorted it within minutes.

We walked around the Albert Dock looking for somewhere for dinner on a Saturday evening. We read the menu outside and decided to give it a go. As soon as we walked in the music struck me as a bit too loud for a restaurant, I probably would have really struggled with this as it was loud throughout as we walked to our table but we were seated in a corner where it was slightly quieter. We had to talk loudly to hear each other and we were seated right next to each other. As a couple, I didn't find it great, I noted it felt more like somewhere I'd go to start a night out with friends or a works night out. Food was good value, normal standard pub grub style. No complaints with the food, but nothing to rave about. Staff checked in with us and did everything you'd expect in that respect but there was no smiles or personality and it felt a little bit like they just went through the motions. Liverpool is renowned for its people and I love that whenever we visit, everyone from taxi drivers, hotel staff, restaurant servers and even people on the street are exceptionally welcoming and friendly however, I didn't get that same welcoming vibe. I accept this may be a great venue for other occasions but not for a quiet meal for a couple.

4 of us came for Bottomless Brunch on a Saturday, the food was delicious-I got the Cajun Chicken Pasta and it was great! The service was slow to start with then when Ollie looked after our table he was great and a massive shout out to him for giving great service! It has cool interiors as well. Recommend Panam 100%!

Me and my boyfriend have spent the last few days in Liverpool visiting from Edinburgh. The famous liverpool warm and friendly manner was evident in each and everyone of the staff members that we encountered during our visit. The surroundings are perfect for anyone visiting this beautiful city, as you have a lovely view of the royal albert dock. The restaurant had a very chilled vibe which was exactly what we needed after a full day of exploring. The food was absolutely stunning, my dock burger was an absolute 10/10. Thank you to all of the staff who served us at panam, you are a credit to Liverpool! We will definitely recommend to anyone visiting from our end!!

Amazing venue Atmosphere was brilliant from start to finish, blasting out the greatest hits from Deacon Blue (great touch) who we were going to see at the M &S Arena so getting us all in the mood for a great night, we had reserved a table but on arrival where given a big booth which was fabulous to eat, drink and chillout in. The food was exceptional and the service 5 star, the team worked tirelessly despite the place being very busy with a mix of old and young, they couldn`t do enough for us and the tables around us, We also visited in the July before a Jamie Webster event at the pier head and again the food (Jerk Chicken) and service where both top draw, Great menu and even better selection of top shelf drinks, Will definitely be back soon, (Please put the jerk chicken back on the menu, it was the best I’ve had outside of Jamaica) .. Staff 5 star and a credit to the management team who were also present and interacting with diners. Highly recommend this place for a chilled out dining experience with the most amazing views over the Royal Albert Dock

Been here several times and had always had fantastic food……staff are all lovely,very attentive and pleasant….its a brilliant place for pre concerts and the embiance is spot on…usually music playing of the performers appearing on arena….its a very comfortable environment and we will be back again very soon…..thank you Panam

Absolutely shocking service. A lovely family were sat near us and experienced what I can only describe as the worst customer service we have ever witnessed. They asked for a child's roast for their little boy which is not shown on the children's menu...hardly asking for the world, plus the restaurant was very quiet so they could have easily accommodated if they wanted to. Rather than politely declining and explaining why the restaurant can't offer this - the server rudely replied 'No we can't' Of course the tone and the way the server responded instantly created an unpleasant feeling and a bad atmosphere. Not what you expect to over hear! The family then asked another server only to receive the same rude response! They were then bombarded with different server's in a short space of time trying to rush them to order. It was clear all the staff were quickly becoming biased towards these customers and had decided they just didn't like them. Eventually a manager came over and actually asked them to leave!!! We were gobsmacked - their little boy became very upset. The manager was actually very intimidating - standing over the table and talking down at them and not letting them speak. It was all just so unnecessary! We couldn't believe the rudeness of the entire team and it's clear the rude and stand-offish nature is cascading down through the team from management level. We asked for our bill soon after as it made us feel so uncomfortable we just wanted to leave. Customer service training required! Such a shame!

Another amazing evening meal at our favourite spot on the Dock. Amazing food as always, we have been here many times and I'm always impressed by the gorgeous menu and tasty food. I had the prawn linguine which was just stunning. I booked a table for 5, myself and family as an early Mother's Day celebration prior to a Rick Astley gig at the arena. The restaurant was busy but we were served without any delays at all and were able to relax with a drink after the food. We were even able to get into the swing of things with Rick's music playing in the background. A great touch 👏 All the staff we met were a credit to the business, friendly, chatty but busy getting their job done. Nothing was too much trouble 👍

Visited this evening and after asking for a different child meal option ( we asked for a small sunday roast ) and kept getting different staff coming to the table 3 in total who just said No without any explanation so we asked as we could not understand how a smaller portion could not be made. However we choose something else and ordered happy to get on with our evening and enjoy , we then got our drinks delivered by an eye rolling snarky staff member so my husband commented service with a smile as he walked off to which then we had the manager come to the table over talk us tell us we were rude and that we were just going to complain when we got our food so the would not be sending it and asked us to leave - we did inform her we were expecting the food to be nice we have eaten here previously but she kept over talking us getting louder and being very rude this was the worst service we have ever received This is Mother's Day we left with a very upset, hungry young child. Once outside, my husband suffered a panic attack as he has severe anxiety. The comment regarding the staff being rude was not only ours but the table next to us who were sat in disbelief.

Never been here before and just needed a meal before heading to the arena for a show, booked a table online for the 4 of us. We were welcomed quickly and seated. Service was excellent as was the food and cocktails. I had the pork ribeye which was so tender it just fell apart and the black pudding mash was lovely, friends had the fish clay pot and they said theirs were excellent as well. Had an excellent meal at Panam Restaurant on Monday last. The restaurant is bright ,spacious and very tastefully decorated. It is in an excellent position in the Albert Dock area. The menu is varied with something to suit everyone. We really enjoyed our food and followed it with cocktails from their 2 for 1 choice. They were delicious . Service was quick and staff were lovely. Special mention to Megan who was extremely helpful and efficient. She was abe to give us good advice on both the menu and the cocktails .
