Pan Am Bar & Restaurant in Liverpool

My fiance and I came here on a Saturday evening, we had the bottomless dinner - which was brilliant. Food hit the spot and wasn’t too heavy which allowed you to drink more. Considering it was a Saturday, the service was fantastic. They did have a brunch on where you messaged their Instagram to put songs on - after an hour we decided to ask.. but then they sorted it within minutes.

We walked around the Albert Dock looking for somewhere for dinner on a Saturday evening. We read the menu outside and decided to give it a go. As soon as we walked in the music struck me as a bit too loud for a restaurant, I probably would have really struggled with this as it was loud throughout as we walked to our table but we were seated in a corner where it was slightly quieter. We had to talk loudly to hear each other and we were seated right next to each other. As a couple, I didn't find it great, I noted it felt more like somewhere I'd go to start a night out with friends or a works night out. Food was good value, normal standard pub grub style. No complaints with the food, but nothing to rave about. Staff checked in with us and did everything you'd expect in that respect but there was no smiles or personality and it felt a little bit like they just went through the motions. Liverpool is renowned for its people and I love that whenever we visit, everyone from taxi drivers, hotel staff, restaurant servers and even people on the street are exceptionally welcoming and friendly however, I didn't get that same welcoming vibe. I accept this may be a great venue for other occasions but not for a quiet meal for a couple.

Me and my boyfriend have spent the last few days in Liverpool visiting from Edinburgh. The famous liverpool warm and friendly manner was evident in each and everyone of the staff members that we encountered during our visit. The surroundings are perfect for anyone visiting this beautiful city, as you have a lovely view of the royal albert dock. The restaurant had a very chilled vibe which was exactly what we needed after a full day of exploring. The food was absolutely stunning, my dock burger was an absolute 10/10. Thank you to all of the staff who served us at panam, you are a credit to Liverpool! We will definitely recommend to anyone visiting from our end!!

Amazing venue Atmosphere was brilliant from start to finish, blasting out the greatest hits from Deacon Blue (great touch) who we were going to see at the M &S Arena so getting us all in the mood for a great night, we had reserved a table but on arrival where given a big booth which was fabulous to eat, drink and chillout in. The food was exceptional and the service 5 star, the team worked tirelessly despite the place being very busy with a mix of old and young, they couldn`t do enough for us and the tables around us, We also visited in the July before a Jamie Webster event at the pier head and again the food (Jerk Chicken) and service where both top draw, Great menu and even better selection of top shelf drinks, Will definitely be back soon, (Please put the jerk chicken back on the menu, it was the best I’ve had outside of Jamaica) .. Staff 5 star and a credit to the management team who were also present and interacting with diners. Highly recommend this place for a chilled out dining experience with the most amazing views over the Royal Albert Dock

Been here several times and had always had fantastic food……staff are all lovely,very attentive and pleasant….its a brilliant place for pre concerts and the embiance is spot on…usually music playing of the performers appearing on arena….its a very comfortable environment and we will be back again very soon…..thank you Panam

Absolutely shocking service. A lovely family were sat near us and experienced what I can only describe as the worst customer service we have ever witnessed. They asked for a child's roast for their little boy which is not shown on the children's menu...hardly asking for the world, plus the restaurant was very quiet so they could have easily accommodated if they wanted to. Rather than politely declining and explaining why the restaurant can't offer this - the server rudely replied 'No we can't' Of course the tone and the way the server responded instantly created an unpleasant feeling and a bad atmosphere. Not what you expect to over hear! The family then asked another server only to receive the same rude response! They were then bombarded with different server's in a short space of time trying to rush them to order. It was clear all the staff were quickly becoming biased towards these customers and had decided they just didn't like them. Eventually a manager came over and actually asked them to leave!!! We were gobsmacked - their little boy became very upset. The manager was actually very intimidating - standing over the table and talking down at them and not letting them speak. It was all just so unnecessary! We couldn't believe the rudeness of the entire team and it's clear the rude and stand-offish nature is cascading down through the team from management level. We asked for our bill soon after as it made us feel so uncomfortable we just wanted to leave. Customer service training required! Such a shame!

Another amazing evening meal at our favourite spot on the Dock. Amazing food as always, we have been here many times and I'm always impressed by the gorgeous menu and tasty food. I had the prawn linguine which was just stunning. I booked a table for 5, myself and family as an early Mother's Day celebration prior to a Rick Astley gig at the arena. The restaurant was busy but we were served without any delays at all and were able to relax with a drink after the food. We were even able to get into the swing of things with Rick's music playing in the background. A great touch 👏 All the staff we met were a credit to the business, friendly, chatty but busy getting their job done. Nothing was too much trouble 👍

Visited this evening and after asking for a different child meal option ( we asked for a small sunday roast ) and kept getting different staff coming to the table 3 in total who just said No without any explanation so we asked as we could not understand how a smaller portion could not be made. However we choose something else and ordered happy to get on with our evening and enjoy , we then got our drinks delivered by an eye rolling snarky staff member so my husband commented service with a smile as he walked off to which then we had the manager come to the table over talk us tell us we were rude and that we were just going to complain when we got our food so the would not be sending it and asked us to leave - we did inform her we were expecting the food to be nice we have eaten here previously but she kept over talking us getting louder and being very rude this was the worst service we have ever received This is Mother's Day we left with a very upset, hungry young child. Once outside, my husband suffered a panic attack as he has severe anxiety. The comment regarding the staff being rude was not only ours but the table next to us who were sat in disbelief.

Never been here before and just needed a meal before heading to the arena for a show, booked a table online for the 4 of us. We were welcomed quickly and seated. I had the pork ribeye which was so tender it just fell apart and the black pudding mash was lovely, friends had the fish clay pot and they said theirs were excellent as well. Had an excellent meal at Panam Restaurant on Monday last. The restaurant is bright ,spacious and very tastefully decorated. It is in an excellent position in the Albert Dock area. The menu is varied with something to suit everyone. We really enjoyed our food and followed it with cocktails from their 2 for 1 choice. They were delicious . Service was quick and staff were lovely. Special mention to Megan who was extremely helpful and efficient. She was abe to give us good advice on both the menu and the cocktails .
