Harvey Nichols Champagne WOW Bar in Liverpool

This is my must go to place when I visit Liverpool but I cannot understand why it isn’t more busy. The staff are always friendly and present and you can watch the world go by if you get a window seat. I would say they need more staff especially to cover staff when they go on their lunch break. We arrived at 1pm for the place to be closed, but told to come back after 2pm

Every time I come here it does not disappoint and 2 proseccos for £10 on a saturday is an added bonus. The staff are always lovely here :)

Beautiful setting, great staff and fabulous drinks. Stayed for two drinks, the first one was so good. Added bonus was to be able to pick up some shopping via click and collect, faultless experience throughout, thank you!

Mi amigo y yo fuimos a tomar unos cócteles de cumpleaños. ¡El bar WOW es un poco de dama como el esplendor! Espresso martini - deeeelightful, melocotón bellini - dreeeamy y por supuesto prosecco - a - muchísimo. Nos lo pasamos de maravilla, servida por un mozo atado, todo muy encantador. Fabricación suntuosa y muy feliz.

Mi amigo y yo estuvimos en Liverpool el fin de semana y decidimos ir al Champagne Bar. Un entorno encantador. Excelente personal muy acogedor y servicial. Realmente disfrutamos nuestra botella de champagne y nuestra visita. Sin duda volveremos cuando en Liverpool de nuevo.

Lovely place for two ladies to chill and watch the work go by sipping Prosecco before we spend more money on stuff we don’t really need! Great place and now we’ve discovered it we will be back .

Visited for lunch today. My friend & I shared the vegetarian deli platter. Absolutely delicious! Beautifully presented and really tasty. We both have small appetites so sharing was perfect. The staff were lovely, especially Nikki the bar manager. Nice ambience and a classy place in the centre of Liverpool 1 for a bite to eat or a glass of bubbly. Would definitely recommend.

I took a break from my Christmas shopping at this hidden gem of a bar. I didn’t know what to expect, but the service here truly lived up to the Harvey Nichols standard I have had at other HN stores. The staff are so friendly and helped me choose food and also recommended cocktails. If you’re out and about in Liverpool it’s is definitely worth stopping in whether you’re on your own or with a group of friends. Thanks WOW bar!

My wife and I called in to the HN Champagne Bar for a glass of champagne and cocktails in the early afternoon. Their own brand champers is excellent ( so said Sally) and I opted for a Cosmopolitan ( good too) followed by a Bramble ( gin with Bramvle liqueur - even better than the Cosmo) Well worth a visit to savour the atmosphere and people watch! They have bar snacks too if you fancy a light bite to eat. Champers is £11 a glass and the cocktails around £10 Go and spoil yourselves - life’s too short not too!!

Enjoyed the meal, but the only downfall is the discretionary service added to the bill. I was saying how nice the food was to the staff and passed over a tip not realising it was was already on the bill. I think it should not be on the bill and if we get good service then leave it to the custumers to thank the staff for their service. If you faith in your workers to do a good service. We love coming to you, but sort this out. It only needs to removed the charge from the machine easy job.

Lovely bar on the first floor serving light snacks and drinks we had a coffee and then decided on a glass of wine .. lovely stop off on a girly shppping day

Everyone likes a touch of sophistication sometimes and here you have it, situated in the heart of Liverpool One. its a bright and welcoming little Champagne bar. I have reviewed this place before, a few years ago, but this visit was different. Half of it was reserved for a baby shower party and what a splendid party it was. The venue is free but you pay for whatever you have, on this occasion there were balloons (in the best [possible taste),the champagne and the cocktails were flowing, wonderful mock cocktails for the kids and non drinkers. the food for the usual visitors is disappointing , I understand that will change under the new manager, but the party food was superb, not a guest, I watched it coming and it looked delicious. the bar staff were doing what they do best providing a friendly and non intrusive service while serving up an amazing number of cocktails. Its a small venue, and a discreet one, I would imagine the bill was fairly hefty but as an onlooker I could not fault it for class. If you have an occasion and you want to push the boat out give it a try , you will not be disappointed

I enjoyed lunch here a few weeks ago. Tasty open sandwich, followed by brownie and a cocktail. It would have been nice to have had more dessert options (the brownie was the only thing on the menu), but the choice of cocktails was great and we all enjoyed our lovely sanwiches. The table was very small for three people, so I think if you are a group bigger than two ask if they have a larger table or ask for two tables next to each other. Three sets of everything on a little round table was quite cramped.

I was slightly disappointed with this bar. The service was slow And the amazing looking shimmering food is filthy, which is not what you expect from Harvey Nichols

Party of 5 called in for drinks before an afternoon show. Bottle of procsecco £32. We had 2 bottles plus service charge. Restaurant nothing special. For those prices expected a more classy decor. Noticed another review commenting about service charge at Liverpool. I can now inform you this happens at Manchester.

Lovely placed to have a cheeky cocktail and bite to eat whilst out shopping in the FABULOUS City of Liverpool. 10 out of 10 for the Staff, food and drinks. It's a hidden gem and most definitely worth a visit.

Cuando vas a Harvey Nicholls esperas pagar premium debido a donde estás. Sin embargo nos sentimos nos sentamos en un bar de champagne. qué barato Teníamos dos vasos de prosecco, que llegó a 25 libras cuando se agregaron una propina, por lo que pensé que era horrible para una bebida 15 minutos. Yo estaba en una misión para encontrar el mejor 4 estrellas porno martini en Liverpool y aquí es donde me pareció pero tienes que conseguir Jacob para que sea, ¡no te arrepentirás! Excellent snack menu with the additoin of a very good bottle of prosecco. Service was slick throught. Only down side is the seating arrangement, not as big as other HN store cafes but very comfortable.

Found this bar as we were shopping and it looked very inviting so we decided to pop in for a lunchtime snack. We had fruit mocktails and red velvet cake - seriously excellent cake and the mocktail was also really lovely.

Encontré este por casualidad mientras caminando a través de Liverpool 1. Me apetecía una taza de té y un bollo y nos quedamos sorprendidos de encontrar en el menú por 5£. 95 por 2! Gran relación calidad-precio y buen servicio. No demasiado busto cuando llegamos, así que no había problemas para conseguir una mesa y se sirve.

Tea and scones are not the most complicated of things to rustle up. Identifying a small area on one floor of a large shop to be designated as a cafe, again not complicated to do. Automatically adding a discretionary 10% tip to the bill, not the wisest thing to do if you want to encourage repeat custom.

My daughter and I visited Harvey Nic's Champagne Bar for a couple of glasses of fizz before moving on for lunch. The atmosphere was quiet and the service poor compared to the number of people who were there versus the assistants working in the champagne bar area. I often call there for drinks before shopping/lunching in Liverpool One but I always feel someone needs to feedback their service level.

After a wonderful visit in August we were disappointed to see the service levels had dropped and staff were not as attentive or well trained. Too many people left waiting for far too longChairs need good clean too as looking little messy

Good value afternoon tea break £5.95 scone and any tea for 2 ...but let down by terrible service. Waited to be seated and ignored so chose our own table. Orderded and 20 mins later the scones arrived without tea 5 mins later tea arrived. This place would be perfect in centre of liverpool shame about such bad service

Dropped in whilst Xmas shopping with a friend.We had a bottle of Prosecco and a chicken and bacon salad and a Greek salad.C & B had hardly any chicken and bacon and was mainly leaves.My friend said the Greek salad was just ok.Pleasant place.Don't agree with tip added to bill. It's just very wrong.

It's always a pleasure to pop into the champagne bar here especially as you always seem able to get a seat. With the two mince pie/cream tea for £5.99 offer why would you go anywhere else for a breather? Did have a bizarre incident however when the young lady providing our scones would not believe that we'd been given small pots of butter instead of clotted cream and made us feel like idiots! Eventually she changed the butter for clotted cream and she knew it was clotted cream because she put it in the pots herself... Tip to young lady: the customer is always right, don't be condescending to customers-the two products may look the same but I know the difference between butter and clotted cream!!

Liverpool is a busy place, somtimes it can be hard to find a place to relax and enjoy the drink of your choice. Until along came WOW, its small, its elegant and civilised.its a champagne bar, the cocktails are varied and the snacks are satisfying.The menu is limited but that is minor compared to your surroundings and the peace and quiet you experience in the middle of a busy city.The staff are charming, helpful, friendly but not intrusive. they do the best pot of tea in town. they have just started to do afternoon tea, have not tried it yet but am looking forward to it.when you visit the shop you could easily miss it,, it is on the first floor overlooking the entrance. so just go up the escalators, sit down and enjoy.

Dropped in after seeing information about cream tea for two £5-95. Went in with my daughter and was a fabulous visit. Hidden gem. Very limited menu but scones were warm, had clotted cream and ham and choice of hot drinks served beautifully. Amazing value and charming friendly service. Highly recommend

Champagne cocktails with your bestie deserves a bit of sparkle, but although the mix was good, the bar lacked atmosphere (just a corner of the store really) and not even a dish of nuts to go with the drinks.. Won't bother again; I've had better.

Visited on 9th Sept for some business meetings and was extremely impressed with the quality of service from the staff.Great choice of food and drinks at reasons prices considering the location.I will definitely use Harvey Nicks again.

We stopped here for a break from shopping. The waiter was superb at helping my husband select a cocktail that he hadn't tried before. I had a champagne cocktail which was lovely. Really nice place to relax and get away from the crowds but also a nice place to watch the world go by.

I took my Daughter there for the start of her 40th Birthday celebrations and we were delighted. We both love Harvey Nichols anyway .

We went for a cocktail masterclass. There were just the two of us, which was great as it meant we had a better experience. We were shown how to make four cocktails and as there were just the two of us we could pick which ones we wanted. (if there are more then the choice is usually made for you, it makes it easier for the staff to show people and also has to be within the time constraints that they have). We were shown by the very knowledgeable member of staff, who also answered any questions we had and also gave us some ideas for trying at home. All in all an excellent couple of hours spent learning the art of cocktail making. Will definitely go again.

Loved this spot - found it by accident for a quiet getaway from the Liverpool One crowds and had a delicious coffee. It was very quiet and gorgeous - was so good I did a bit of shopping and went back for a yummy lunch - reasonably priced too :)

Been here often, for a drink during shopping. Nice place, table with a view over shoppers. I have had both Fizz in here and tea/coffee. Proper tea leafs, which always you can't fault. Yes there is 10% service charge on top, but it's worth it.

I love Harvey Nichols champagne bar, however the Liverpool one adds a service charge to your bill. All th previous times I have been to other Harvey Nichols they have not. The man that served us out drinks was fine the 1st time but when we ordered a second round he forgot amd didn't do our order. He had to be reminded by another member of staff, he did not ask us if we had enjoyed then and was not very engaging. I was quite annoyed that he was going to get a tip for what was very poor service. I normally tip if it is deserved but this certainly was not!! So be warned if you visit

Walked past the shop and saw they were doing Creme Tea for two for 6.95 (BARGAIN!)which is a must at this price.Staff were very welcoming, had no issue when we asked for our scones to be warmed up. I didn't enjoy the coffee as it was too strong for me, had to keep drinking it to add more milk - would of preferred an extra cup so I can pour the amount of coffee I wanted, my mum enjoyed her teaThe scone had lots of currents in and tasted lovely!Would 100% recommend this place - Coffee/tea and creme tea for £3 each ?! Fantastic price!

So we popped in after shopping, sorry to the staff for tripping over the bags lol :). They were very professional and excellent service. Did feel it needs a little update and toilets were a little dated. Excellent priced champagne and service was exceptional with an interesting mix of people. This was our second stop after harrods and we enjoyed it a lot. Many thanks for making it a nice experience. Top tip is rose champagne Harvey Nichols own make. Was very nice

What a great place to be. We were recommended there by friends while visiting London. They offer a very exquisite drinks list and the cocktails we had are definitely among the best we have ever had. It is worth a visit for sure.

My friend and I treated ourselves to facials. Feeling very relaxed afterward we popped in for coffee which then turned into HN champagne which is always good. Perfect ending to a perfect day as the service was quick as very quiet. Definite recommendation

The first port of call to celebrate my wife's birthday on a weekday! Excellent service received from the bartender who made me two different whisky based cocktails which weren't on the menu. Great starting point for an afternoon in Liverpool which is always a great day out!

Situated on the first floor of the main store, and reached through perfume drenched retail floor, this is ideal because it's quiet, comfortable, the staff in the coffee bar are excellent, and they do a really good cup of coffee.

I booked a table for 22 of us during the last weekend in October. The communication prior to our visit was excellent as we pre ordered our lunch. It is in a very convenient location for shoppers to take a nice break. I booked after doing a similar thing in the Edinburgh store but I didn't realise how small the Liverpool WOW bar was. It was a little bit of a squeeze and difficult for our waiters to serve the ones in the far corner and like wise to those in the far corner to get out to use the loo.My only other criticism is that even though we pre ordered we waited close to an hour for our food which I thought was strange. Luckily we were enjoying ourselves but I did start to wonder after a while especially as we had to go to other places afterwards. Perhaps a ploy to keep us there and drink more champagne? I had a selfie cocktail and although nice there wasn't much of it .... especially for the price!The food was beautifully presented and was very tasty.I would go again but not as a large group :-)

We stopped in for a quick pit stop whilst out shopping in Liverpool. What a truly glamorous location. My husband had a coffee and I had a gin and tonic, superbly mixed with my favourite Portobello gin and with pink grapefruit as a garnish. Yum! The staff were attentive and charming and let us linger without interruption fir as long as we wanted. I'll be back!!

When shopping for hours and hours its often nice to rest your feet and slurp some bubbles, This is the perfect place to do so.I enjoyed a couple of glasses with my husband. Service was excellent. Not too busy and not too stuffy either. Just right.Worth every penny to relax and then feel ready to hit the shops again.

Wow bar looks amazing. Just where you want to be spending a Saturday afternoon, having cocktails after you've been shopping, or just waiting to have your nails done. Id actually booked a Elemis Facial previously, over the phone, for my friend and I - but decided to go in and cancel, because even though I was booking 5 weeks in advance, there was only one treatment room, and it was important to have the treatments at the same time due to other commitments. However, I couldn't find anyone to cancel this appointment with.The only staff I could see, were two nail technicians, who were busy manicuring. I asked one if she could help, but she pointed me in the direction of the price list on the wall. Pleasant as the nail technician was, I guess my expectation for Harvey Nicks was higher.I came away without being able to cancel the treatment, and sadly, Im not encouraged to go back.

We called in on Saturday to take my best friend who is getting married in August for a glass of champagne at the start his surprise mini stag night out. Normally when I have been in the past it has been very quiet, but it was chocka! Should really have booked a table (which the staff advised you can do!) so we had to wait about 10/15 minutes for one to free up. Thankfully as my friend was running late this didn't spoil our trip or the surprise. Note to self, book on a Saturday!Nice champagne with friendly staff. As were where there for an occasion (had a balloon/cards etc the staff provided my friend with a mini gift bag and wished him well on his upcoming wedding - such a lovely touch! I would echo what others have said about the price - we simply went for Harvey Nichols own Champagne and it was very expensive. Given that it is advertised as a Champagne bar I thought it would be a little bit more competitive in terms of pricing and range (hence the 4 star rather than 5)

Popped into the Wow bar before we went for a birthday meal for my daughter. We had glasses of Prosecco. Nice but very quiet. Bartender was friendly and service was good.

We went here for a glass or two of champagne as a treat while out shopping. Sat down and we were told that they had ran out of Champagne!!!! Sorry I thought this was called the Champagne bar? And at 4 o'clock in the afternoon there was no Champagne....No explanation given.....Surely if you are a champagne bar you should be able to serve customers champagne???? Very disappointed......

What a treat for ladies in this mini Harvey Nicks.Gorgeous decor and a very pleasant experience.Good quality Champers served in quality glassware.We really enjoyed our glass of champagne but we didn't realise there was also a cocktail menu as we were not given one. Slightly disappointed and more so that a service charge was also added when we were really not served at all apart from being handed 4 flutes.Could have stayed all day !

This upmarket store has quickly established itself as a popular, luxury retail therapy experience amongst well-heeled shoppers and the little champagne bar on the upper floor fits in well with its image. One would reasonably assume that, being Harvey Nichols, it is not going to be cheap - and you would be right. However, the food and drinks are of excellent quality and the staff, unfailingly pleasant.

It was such a comfortable and relaxing place to go. The decor was beautiful, very modern furniture and very clean, and the food lovely.

This is a great place for a treat with a friend cocktails are expensive but delicious approx £12 each. Nice just for coffee though.

I love going here when shopping in L one, because it's always spotless and staff friendly and quick. Even if you're in jeans and a t-shirt, you'll feel glamorous here because it's spotless and beautiful.I recommend the molecule martini or afternoon tea - time spent here really does feel like a treat.

This was our second visit to this supposedly special bar and what a disappointment after our previous experience!On each visit we'd called in to mark a special occasion but while our first had been a pleasurable experience the last was anything but.Despite checking the opening hours prior to our visit and arriving over half an hour before the 1630 'last orders' time we arrived to find just one or two customers already there.The welcome was less than encouraging and it got worse when we were advised that no cocktails were available as the ice machine was broken. We should have left at this point and gone elsewhere, but we opted for a glass of champagne rather than spoil the occasion.The drinks arrived and the bill together, even before taking the first sip the barman asked for payment of £28 (3 glasses of champagne, plus it transpires a 'discretionary' tip!!)20 minutes later he was back asking that we finish our drinks as the bar was about to close. Bearing in mind we'd been told the day before the bar stopped serving drinks at 1630 and this at 1620 it was very evident that we had outstayed our welcome, though we'd at no time felt 'welcome' as it was!We took our time, finished our drinks and left, very disappointed.The contrast to our previous visit(s) could not have been more marked.This should be a place to indulge yourself and feel a little extravagant but our last visit was anything but, well the price was extravagant but the service was demeaning and we were made to feel as welcome as the proverbial **** in a space-suit!My 'discretionary tip' ? Give it a miss, there are plenty of alternatives, this place should be a boost to Liverpool, unfortunately it's anything but!

I like this place for many reasons, it's a great place to kick start a shopping spree, cool, chill out, with your favorite bubbly cheering you up as you look around at other like minded people out for the day in Liverpool, the chairs are comfortable and well placed, the service good and relaxed, no hurry and in my opinion good value, bearing in mind the limited space available, all in all a place that you should at least once whilst in town try, you will like me go back for more.

It is situated in the Harvey Nichols beauty Emporium Liverpool 1.the american barman does a wicked Bellini and the Manager Bonnie is a welcoming face when you arrive. Its sophisticated, fun, and relaxing after a day shopping.the menu apart from the cocktails etc. is small but tasty, everything, as you would expect of a champagne bar is beautifully served, the tea is brought to you in lovely individual teapots and the service is impeccable. Next time I intend to have a champagne cocktail, and maybe perhaps another Bellini. Give it a go, you will not be disappointed.
