Superb. Live music, excellent in the day. Went back in the evening. Excellent place. Will return

When politely asked for a drinks menu (information: there is none), the rude bartender points to all the beer taps in front of him and the liquor display at the back. Due to the optional fact that fantasy prices might be charged, we moved on. It's a shame for a restaurant in a hip and well-known location in Liverpool.

Very busy but still got served quick. Great artist.

I've been going rubber soul for 30 years on and off and have never really liked it but for some reason went there 2day every time you go the bar it's a different price for the same drink do these people behind the bar think we are dickheads I will never go this place again out of order ☹️☹️

Late night bar in Liverpool. Don't be fooled into thinking it plays Beatles music at weekend nights. It's like a fully blown nightclub. Free to get in though.

Busy place very lively, massive venue, good atmosphere most nights and sometimes days

They cab throw you out anytime without any specific reason. The Security is very bad and very partial to their people. Not good place for foreigners. I'm very disappointed after the way they treated me . The same incident happened with another girl who had to face the same issue on the same day. This behavior from the Security should not be encouraged or promoted. Thank you.

Live music every night. The vibe was brilliant and the singer very good. The Rubber Soul is located in Matthew Street and the whole street is buzzing with love music.

Took a morning pint at 11 for £2.60. To get some atmosphere before the Beatles sightseeing. Otherwise, I don't usually drink so early. He was an incredibly grumpy bartender, just because I didn't know the brands of beer they served. Dark and dreary inside, they must be saving on electricity.

Loved this place, and went loads when I was younger. Went with my wife after a work meal and had a great laugh. Even better than I remember it in the 90's/00's. She loved seeing my old haunts, and this was the best of the night.

We visited as a couple on July 10th at 6pm. It was very quiet but the bar was clean , staff friendly and drinks reasonably priced . Imagine a great place to watch an event or lively when packed . Recommend

My twin brother and I were pub hopping around the wonderful Cavern Quarter of Liverpool when we decided to drop into The Rubber Soul,been here many times, always had a good time and so it proved on our latest visit. I like the look of this bar ,interior is dark and cosy, exposed brickwork, eclectic decor and furnishings, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room and there's plenty of seating options spread throughout this bar both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling Mathew Street. We ordered beers from Carling Brewery, served freezing cold, we sat outside were we chilled out and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular bar. My beer was really good, a golden, light and hoppy lager style beer bursting with taste and very easy to drink especially when served freezing cold as in this bar, it was just so good being in such a lovely bar enjoying a quality brew and sat with my twin brother, best beer companion in the world. We both really enjoyed our beers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting as on every other visit to The Rubber Soul we had a great time. The Rubber Soul is easy to locate along Mathew Street, a street and area teeming with pubs, bars, cafe's and restaurants and a major tourist destination due to it Beatles connections. Opening hours are; Monday to Sunday, open from 10am. Well worth checking out if you're in the Cavern Quarter of Liverpool.

Having waited to get into the Cavern Club in the rain, we stumbled into the Rubber Soul. There were two separate lads sets and we stayed for both. It was Brill. Great bar service and sing alongs!

Rubber Soul Beatles Bar in Liverpool is a legendary place! Having worked there for quite some time as an international student in the UK, I can say it truly felt like home. From the moment I started working part-time, I was welcomed with open arms. Friendly faces greeted me every time I walked in, always asking how I was doing. The managers are the nicest—easy to talk to, funny, and always ready with a prank. (Special shoutout to Sean, Aaron and Paul!) 💞 Rubber Soul gave me countless opportunities to grow, and that’s what I loved most. There was a time I left for what seemed like a better job, but when things didn't work out, Rubber Soul welcomed me back with open arms and a simple 'Welcome Back!' A part of Rubber Soul will always stay with me because it has given me so much. I'll miss the lovely customers too, chatting with them and making their pints of Guinness with a heart on top. This place has made me more hardworking, disciplined, and humble. Thank you, Rubber Soul, for everything. I'll always carry a piece of you with me.

Like the bar , but I ordered a pint of Carling and a jager bomb and my friend ordered the same. I was charged 16 pound she was charged 10... for a pint of carling and a jager bomb. Check the price on the card reader before you pay.

Competitive prices good entertainment gets busy

The speakers in here are a painful quality, the group of us were really put off by it. I wouldn't bother visiting until they fix the speakers. Service is fine and it's an interesting layout.

In Liverpool for a weekend and this place was fantastic. Music was great and the atmosphere was brilliant.

Came here to reminsce from our younger days and yes I get its years later but the dj was absolute crap. Had no idea on how to read a room and kept playing rubbish no one danced to. Get with the program and play proper dance tunes not Robbie Williams etc. Everyone not just me stood still watching and waiting for the dj to realise what he was playing wasn't cutting it, but he obviously had a playlist when he really should have had his P45

Asked for Stongbow dark fruits, tried to give me half a strongbow original with cordial mixed in, not even a cider tops, it was 50/50, still tried to charge me £6.20 for it! Watch out. Giving it 2 stars only because it has live music.

Usually I love rubber soul as it’s my favourite club in Liverpool, great music and staff. Another security guard ID’ed me and let me through. Yet the new security guard stepped in and refused me entry. Me and my friends would regularly come and spend our night in rubber soul. However due to be humiliated infront of everyone and refused entry, I am really disappointed and will not return.

A bustling pub that’s popular with tourists and groups on holiday in Liverpool. There’s regular live music on and the vibe is friendly and fun.

What training do the bouncers here have? Truly horrible and unprofessional. The female bar staff told me my friend has been assaulted and was was told to leave as my friend was too drunk (which is fine I understood) I tried to tell the bouncer she had left her phone inside and could I go look for it and shoved my about three grown men. So much for keeping us ‘safe’. Horrible experience and makes me never want to go to matthew street again. I felt really unsafe and scared. Please do better to make women feel safe and get some female bouncers OR get some training on safeguarding and the basics of not unnecessarily putting your hands on people and using force when you don’t need to.

Need more bar staff, especially on a Saturday night. Place was jammed and it took ages to get a drink

Had a great couple of hours one afternoon, the prices for ale were fantastic, really enjoyed ourselves.

Decent spot, would revisit again. It’s big enough that you are not too crowded. Nice atmosphere.

BE AWARE! Watered down alcohol. After many drinks I left their sober. Went to another place and drank the same from bottles and the difference was unbelievable. Shame on you ripping off the public

Very bad place, it was my best place before but the new staff at door very rude and، He harassed my girlfriend and tried to get close to her, and he is trying to use his job as security to impose his power on the customers. I will file a complaint against him and will never leave him.

The bouncer outside was extremely rude. He didn’t let me in, because I was wearing tracksuit pants. What’s more, he spoke very aggressively. The bar itself looks amazing, and I’m sure the bar staff are very good people, but unfortunately I didn’t get to experience it… thanks to this horrible bouncer.

Bouncers are very unprofessional and very girly… they really need some training! “Bouncer “ from pic no one been very moody and sound very angry from first minute we got there - we decided to go to different pub because his attitude put us off so much . When we back they didn’t let us in - obviously without any reason - probably moody bouncer once again. Until bouncers won’t be sorted and retrained - NOT RECOMMENDED ! Ps* girly bouncer need to leave his emotions at home and start working if I’m honest … Bad experience

Popped in for a quick drink and stayed 3 hours. Great entertainment from the 2 singers I saw and good beer. Very reasonable prices and very efficient var staff.

Wow rude bar staff or what ,thought I was visiting one on them place we're it free to be rude to customers. Visits Sunday 11/06 .Wow simply asked why the barman ignored our group ? Only to be met with another rude member of staff .Yes it was steady but not packed ! Shame as our group spent over £200 the day before. Disappointed with lack of staff + rudness. Plenty of more bars to spend money so off we went

Place was okay but they need training on cocktails they were awful ordered cherry bakewell instead of amaretto she put chambord in instead and I noticed other people were getting the wrong cocktails as well definitely need training if they are serving cocktails, both drinks cost 12 pound it's alot for a drink that tasted like garbage. I travel and go to many bars and this cocktail is well known and easy to do but apart from that a great night,.

Waited over 30 minutes for a drink barman with long blonde hair and blue fringe would not serve us was serving other people over us and it ruined our evening. We walked out after 40 minutes without a drink and went to revolution were we got served immediately. Very rude staff!!! I will not come here again because of him, disgusting individual.

This place is a vibe, with crazy good prices on drinks. We had 3 pints and one soft drink for around £11. The bar man was great and very welcoming, super laid back pub. Great music and well decorated in tune with its surroundings. A must visit on your trip to Liverpool!

Absolutely amazing afternoon or evening out!! Bar isn't too pricey and there is constant live music! Sports on lots of huge T.Vs as well so caters for everyone! Lots of seating and really chilled out. Absolutely love it and always come here when I visit Liverpool, lots of potential for photos for tourists too! Definitely visit :)

En nuestro primer día en Liverpool estando en Mathew street decidimos entrar en rubber soul y una vez el primer portero nos revisa la mochila y estábamos casi dentro, un empleado que presuntamente era el dueño no nos deja entrar directamente por ser turistas.......o españoles, no lo sé...... sí, incomprensible....le pedimos explicación del porqué ya que el bar no estaba ni mucho menos completo y sin darnos motivo nos dijo que nada que no podiamos entrar.....Totalmente sorprendente!!!

Waited 15 minutes at the bar while 2 staff Only served 3,female kept sorting cups under counter male to busy drinking his yazoo. Pointed out to male staff i was waiting he then proceeded to talk about me to his colleague calling me a "coffin dodger " .we walked out as could not spend any money where total unprofessional and rude staff are

Great venue, with good music, and even better staff. Tash (manager) in particular, is fantastic - I lost my phone while in Liverpool for the weekend. After verifying the phone was mine, Tash couldn’t do enough to help me – she even posted my phone to me to save me the hassle of travelling back to get it! Will definitely return the next time we are in Liverpool.
