Very busy but found a seat in a short while. Pricing plan for sandwiches a bit confusing but maybe that was just me. We had the nicest cheese scones we’ve had for a long time and a tasty coffee and tea. Clean, tidy with friendly staff , I will defend barely go back there again.

We had a table of 10 for a 90th birthday party. The staff welcomed us and waited on us hand and foot throughout the whole experience and were friendly and helpful. The chef cooked beautiful food and we were all very happy with our meals. 10/10!

We were looking for somewhere in Brampton where we’d never been before and decided to try Pippa’s. I had the quiche with salad, coleslaw and crisps which was lovely and my daughter had the all day breakfast which she described as epic! It did look wonderful. Pretty tearoom with friendly staff and quick service. We will definitely come again 😊

We hired Cumbria Gourmet burgers for an event at our house where we had a large number of guests coming. The food was great and the service was brilliant.

Lovely stopping off point after a long walk. First class food- both the evening meal and the breakfast. Lots of little extra touches that made the stay perfect including a place to leave soggy boots to dry off so they were nice and toastie the next morning. Welcoming host who made this solo female walker feel safe and welcome. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to try the food and drink. When we walked in there was a man behind the bar he said nothing to us ! Disappearing for more than 6 mins, we stood looking at other customers, had he said I’ll be back in 5 or there’s a problem but nothing !! So we took our customer else where, we had a good drink in lovely surroundings in the Greenhill Hotel

Sunday lunch was decidedly average, sadly. Usual warm welcome and fine surrounds but the roast was over-priced, especially as it came with frozen roast spuds, frozen Yorkshires and virtually raw cabbage - for £16! Starter was clearly shop bought as were the desserts. My cheesecake was like chalk with a bit of crumpled meringue and frozen berries barely thawed. Tasteless. The profiteroles were shop-bought too. Cost for two plus drinks £70. No finesse. Could have had it at home for £20. Shame to report that we were disappointed as it’s a lovely spot for a pub and previous visits have been great.
