The Sandwich Mill in Carlisle

This is the best sandwich shop in Carlisle. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting a tasting baguette.

Baguettes are okay and staff friendly. My biggest issue is you order a baguette and get asked if you want salad which is fair enough. The problem is I get some of the salad and sometimes get charged extra for it. I don't know if they do this generally or just because of my choice but it can cost £1 more depending who served you. It might just be my prescription but I feel the quality isn't the same either compared to years before covid

Their breakfast rolls/baguettes are great value for money! I'd highly recommend trying their 'Chinese Chicken Wraps' and Christmas Baguettes (near Xmas time)!

One of the nicest baguette shops in the town. Very friendly staff and the food is always hot and tasty and they have a good variety on offer from cold and hot food.

Got the chicken curry with half rice and half chips i must admit it was quite nice .great value for a fiver . The chips could of done with being cooked a little bit longer.

We have used this place for the last 10 years and it never disappoints. The staff are great and the food is excellent. A lot of choice and hard to decide sometimes but my favourite is a the hot n spicy chicken...delicious! Couldn't resist adding a festive baguette to the order as it looked very tasty... and it was. 👌

Use to pass this place on the way to work and pick up lunch, made fab hot chicken salad wraps. Have not been for a long time with change of job, my partner was hungry and we were passing, still great and did not disappoint, had hot chicken salad box, he had burger and chips, great price, big menu now, quick service, great cheerful staff as always and highly recommend

Excellent little sandwich shop, breakfast baguettes are particularly nice and coronation chicken on a jacket potato is another favourite of mine from there. They have a really good menu lots to choose from and always something on the specials menu 👍🏼

Visited for a bacon and tomato sausage bap on a cold October Saturday morning. Staff were polite and the bacon and sausage was hot even by the time I got home. Prices were very reasonable. Would definitely visit again.

Friendly freshly made food & good value

Great salads and rolls with lovely cakes. I go every Saturday when working down there. The tuna savory salad is great. The hot food always goes fast as there is normally none left by 12.30

Very good sandwich shop. Not only a sandwich shop, they do curry, burritos, meatballs, rice, chips, yorkshire puddings, mash potato. Everything looks homemade. I would recommend to everyone

Lovely friendly staff and food is delicious

The mainly female staff provide a friendly face in what is normally a very busy take away. Despite the pressures they are obviously under they always seem to be smiling and serve the fresh food in fast and professional manner whilst taking the time to speak to the more regular customers.

Friendly staff, fresh and good choice menu. Highly recommended from all the staff at Merlyn Tyres. Easy parking even with a van. Oh and they do Lattes :D

One of the best baguette shops in Carlisle will do you anything you want and all sorts of specials on the menu. Amazing value for Money and the meat on the hot counter is always very tasty. Best of all is the breakfast baguette bacon, egg and Cumberland or tomato sausage in a fresh crispy baguette. Oi Oi

The sausage sandwiches are legendary, I have walked from one end of Carlisle to the other just for a sandwich from this place. Well worth a visit

Nice pleasant staff, fresh produce and a good menu which is fairly proved. They are fast at taking orders and making them up, and you can order over the phone to pick up at your convenience. They can make things to how you like.

Cracking breakfast boxes, excellent choice served by excellent staff. Also do buffets for special occasions. Often use the sandwich mill as is consistently good .
