Great venue and been a few times and always been great food. However the “market menu “ is misleading. It’s 2 courses for a set price but it doesn’t say it’s kid size portions so be aware. Fish and chips was 12 x chips and a small battered fish with some peas ( in fact the peas were a normal sized portion) Service was shocking … plenty staff but more interested in chatting to each other than actually taking your order. In summary lovely place but avoid the market menu - it’s a rip off.

The choice of dishes is very poor. The establishment has nothing to attract. The prices are definitely too high!!! The pizza is no different from the one we buy in the supermarket, only it is very small and designed for one person. The cocktail is in a glass full of ice and when I take it out there is only 1/4 of the cocktail left in the glass... It turns out I am paying over £10 for ice and they don't ask me if I want it or not. The large canape of chicken liver pate was no different from the store bought pate in terms of weight. It was simply strewn with flowers. It is obvious that the restaurant does not strive to feed its guests well. The food is mediocre, like from stores, only 3-4 times more expensive! The cocktail is just a full glass of ice and a little drink at the bottom! I do not recommend this place! And yes, guys, why do you brazenly add tips??? If a person is happy with the food and service, he will still leave a tip... But if he is not happy, then why should he leave a tip????

Disappointed after reading recent reviews. There should be a discount for those who, because they choose to bring their dog with them, have to sit on plastic chairs and vinyl side seats. After being shown to what is probably an ice cream parlour and away from the main restaurant we were offered the sticky (dirty) menus and told to order at the counter. I found a cushion to make my seat more comfortable but it was filthy and I wouldn’t have given it to my dog to lie on! At least there was a bowl of water for her which she did not drink from! Two VERY plastic, over sweet lime and sodas which were flat and which we left. The scampi and haddock were well cooked and hot, the chips dry and hot too. I personally did not like the peas and the tartare was in a very thin plastic pot. The cutlery was clean but the table was very sticky and not pleasant. The main restaurant had ambience but the area where we were put was like sitting in a road side cafe! This is the first time here. (Yes, it will be the last!) The gift shop was full of the usual things, rambling and cluttered. The garden centre had some good offers on plants but by this time l was not in the mood. I was really looking forward to my day out but very disappointed.

Popped in with daughter and grandkids hoping to get a table. Easy to order at the bar, food arrived quickly and was piping hot. Staff were freindly and helpful. Children enjoyed playing in the wacky warehouse. Food nice and well presented. Kids enjoyed the Candy Mania desserts. Thank you

Four of us went to the crofters for the steak and wine deal. The cocktails we had were amazing, strawberry daiquiris were a delight. We were really well looked after by all the staff, particularly the wonderful waitress Cerise. Unfortunately there was a slight hiccup with our food but this was quickly corrected and we all left really pleased with our evening. The service really did make it!

This is a down-to-earth pub in the middle of Ladybridge and we always enjoy I have a visits there. We usually tie it in with a meal at the Indian and it makes a great place for pre-and post dinner drinks. The service is fast and friendly and they have a decent range of drinks at reasonable prices. It is a family pub so can get noisy at times but this is part of the atmosphere. if sport is your thing then this could be your place as there are lots of televisions and booths to watch the Premier League football and so on. There is also a nice beer garden if the weather is good and it's worth going just to see the mural of local Bolton personalities on the wall.

Live locally and thought we would go and try the food now it has been taken over and quite simply the food and the staff were lovely. The cheese pie requires a special mention it was very tasty and just the right portion size

Had a bit of time to kill so popped in for a brew and a cake. Not a bad selection but the chocolate cake was a little dry and needed some cream. However they only do clotted cream not pouring cream. The brew was nice, once I'd exchanged the cup with lipstick on. Mistakes happen and its how they deal with them that's important. Not a bad place to relax.

Great to drop in here for a morning brew. Ok I have in and had ice cream instead - v tasty. Clearly they were lent geared up for this many people on a Thursday am - long queue formed and drinks took a while. Still a most welcome break and good to have outside seats for nice weather.
