Family meal. Decor in the restaurant is just lovely. Had a family meal . Meal itself was really nice but disappointed at catering for nut allergies . Two in our party had severe nut allergy . Asked about sweet menu and told can’t guarantee if nuts in our not . This shows desserts are brought in and not made on premises which was not what we would have expected. Also we was not asked about allergies and it was not marked on menus . Every other restaurant seem to note on menus now . For this reason we would not come back

We have visited Ewe twice and both times really enjoyed the food. Last night was particularly good and we couldn’t fault anything. We were really happy to see our favourite dessert sticky toffee pudding still on the menu as we had it last year and it’s honestly the best sticky toffee pudding we have ever tried. (Please do not remove this off the menu we will be very sad) The steak was cooked to perfection, cabbage and bacon was lovely and the cauliflower cheese was to die for. Staff all lovely and friendly looking forward to visit again :)

Visited during the week, carvery was fantastic so lovely and fresh! Was greeted and served by Sophie and Kayleigh who were so polite and friendly, will definitely be returning.

The Barn had been recommended by a friend who used to regularly visit Scorton. We were shown to the ice-cream side of The Barn. Tables and seats that were empty hadn't been cleaned. I went to the bar to order drinks and cake. Staff member who served me couldn't even offer a smile. The cakes and drinks were lovely. Two of the staff were heard nearby through a staff door swearing, mainly the 'f' word. Not very professional and not pleasant if children had been within earshot.

Popped in with daughter and grandkids hoping to get a table. Easy to order at the bar, food arrived quickly and was piping hot. Staff were freindly and helpful. Children enjoyed playing in the wacky warehouse. Food nice and well presented. Kids enjoyed the Candy Mania desserts. Thank you

Four of us went to the crofters for the steak and wine deal. The cocktails we had were amazing, strawberry daiquiris were a delight. We were really well looked after by all the staff, particularly the wonderful waitress Cerise. Unfortunately there was a slight hiccup with our food but this was quickly corrected and we all left really pleased with our evening. The service really did make it!

As always lovely nice atmosphere. Tried the January Deals. Breaded Cheddar and Jalapeno Donuts were great. Garlic Prawns could do with a pitta bread as prawns a bit small.

Super food as always. Ordered chicken Caesar salad with extra requests …. Looked lovely and tasted divine . The staff are so welcoming and bright the dogs water without being asked . All meals are prepared following ordering , fab ingredients and very fresh . We have been before twice for lunch and will return again . Please visit and give your custom to the best lunch venue by far !

This is a chip shop that I have frequented over many years. I called in at a busy time and patiently waited 40 minutes. This was not a problem. I ordered two fish at a cost of £11.00 to take away, living less than 5 minutes away. Once home we unwrapped them to find the the batter was greasy and soggy and both fish were undercooked. We disposed of the food and were very disappointed. As this is an establishment that I have always enjoyed I felt I needed to bring it to their attention. I was greeted with hostility and disinterest, sprinkled with profanities. I was told to bring back the food if I wanted a refund. I explained that the food had been thrown away. They offered no resolution or apology. Sadly I will no longer use Chaes. As a pensioner struggling with today’s cost of living this was al treat that turned sour.

Had a bit of time to kill so popped in for a brew and a cake. Not a bad selection but the chocolate cake was a little dry and needed some cream. However they only do clotted cream not pouring cream. The brew was nice, once I'd exchanged the cup with lipstick on. Mistakes happen and its how they deal with them that's important. Not a bad place to relax.

Tried this place for the first time yesterday, and will definitely be going back. The garlic bread was mouthwatering!

Great to drop in here for a morning brew. Ok I have in and had ice cream instead - v tasty. Clearly they were lent geared up for this many people on a Thursday am - long queue formed and drinks took a while. Still a most welcome break and good to have outside seats for nice weather.
