Super food as always. Ordered chicken Caesar salad with extra requests …. Looked lovely and tasted divine . The staff are so welcoming and bright the dogs water without being asked . All meals are prepared following ordering , fab ingredients and very fresh . We have been before twice for lunch and will return again . Please visit and give your custom to the best lunch venue by far !

Had a very yummy early evening meal at Spread Eagle in Bromley Cross. The food was delicious 😋 we both had cheese and onion pie my elderly friend enjoyed it so much her place was cleane and so was mine. we had deserts afterwards that was great too. Presentation was lovely. We were very well looked after by George the member of staff excellent service overall will definitely go back very soon!!!

We had a lovely meal. The burger was massive and the cheese pie superb. 0ur waiter was good very attentive. We will definitely return.

Amazing food and service . George our waiter was outstanding. Disabled access means I can come and enjoy without the worry that is normally associated with eating out.

Amazing ! Visited last Saturday and had to return !🤩 Food exceptional and staff superb 👌! Both my friend and I had meals that were beautiful .. First visit since moving to area. Absolutely excellent service especially Ben, took time to chat and noticed it was our first time there and made us feel very welcome. Food was excellent , bloody delicious in fact. Will definitely be a regular in here and 100% recommend to friends and bring them and family there.

Just had a lovely meal at The Spread Eagle. Food was home made and great the cheese pie was amazing. We’ve eaten there recently four times and never been disappointed

Live locally and thought we would go and try the food now it has been taken over and quite simply the food and the staff were lovely. The cheese pie requires a special mention it was very tasty and just the right portion size

At last a chef who can cook. This local pub has had a lot of ups and down in the last few years, but its looks as it has been taken over by someone who knows what they are doing. The food is exceeding good, made by a competent chef and no sign of a DING anywhere. Pies are homemade and we can recommend the Steak and Ale as well as the Apple pie. We all breathed a sigh of relief that finally this would be a pub you could happily go to for something to eat. Waitress, who was also was tending the bar, dealt with us in a friendly and welcoming matter. Good luck, we hope you do well.

This place has been transformed, what a lovely atmosphere, thought I would try somewhere I have not been before, I was very pleasantly surprised, I am a vegetarian, as this has newly opened there was not much vegetarian on the menu, I spoke to the chef / owner who explained that the place was newly opened, so I decided to have the homemade cheese pie, it was fantastic, I went with the family (they are not veggie) My little boy had the kids burger and chips which he ate the plate clean, the sticky toffee pudding was t die for (so we had another one between us) everything about our first visit was exceptional, one thing I must say is that Chloe who waited on us was brilliant and she is an asset to to the business, thanks Chloe very attentive and pleasant, definitely will be going again

Great food and amazing atmosphere Sunday lunch with all the trimmings, lovely portions - and Fish and chips for my partner. Generous portions, freshly cooked with a great atmosphere to boot. This pub is under new management and looking to make an impact. Friendly locals made us feel very welcome and dog friendly too xx

Used to go here locally, always enjoyed a night out there. However, I went in on Friday night at 11pm just for last orders, as we went to order another drink the bar had closed and they had shut the door. Accused us of not being there the whole night and then kicked us out whilst the male owner was so aggressive and rude to me and my friend and was even ruder to my girlfriend and started to comment about her appearance and how she is a lesbian. the new owners are rude and homophobic and I will NEVER set foot in that place again, I hope they go bust!

Called in today with my granddaughter, we had heard nice comments about thr spread eagle so we thought we would call in for lunch. Although the menu was slightly limited and the chef was on holiday the food was amazing and presented well. Those home made onion rings were amazing hest I've ever tasted. So compliments to todays chef it was a lovely lunch and we will be back for sure 😊. Lovely service all round.

A lovely drop off in the middle of a walk. Sadly we were informed the kitchen was closed until 5pm. We stayed for a drink and way before 5 we were offered a menu , a selection at A fiver a time. We had a lovely time putting the world to rights. Thank you team Spread.

First time we have been here for food but really impressed and will definitely be back. Food was great , great service and amazing value for money. We had the Sunday lunch menu all really tasty, homemade and big portions we could t believe the quality of food & service the bill was under £30 for 2 x starters , 2 x Sunday lunch and drinks. Will definitely be back!

We went on Sunday for a birthday lunch, in all fairness service was excellent, everybody enjoyed their meal except me, I ordered the bacon cheese burger, burger was stodgy, very bland bacon undercooked, chewy, I had said the the server if my bacon was crispy I would not be disappointed,, but anyway time came to pay the bill, as it was my birthday, I paid and made my way home, I was amazed to see a charge of £1.50 for crispy bacon on the bill, are you for real, honestly an extra £1.50 for leaving the bacon in the pan for two extra mins, and it did not crisp up. very disappointed, I visited on a recommendation, I have had some excellent meal locally, but not here, will not be visiting again. Sorry but not what I expected.

Poor service / Shocking food Me and the other half had breakfast I the Spread Eagle the other month. The service was slow and the staff looked hungover. When the Breakfast arrived it was to a really poor standard, The bacon was cold and like cardboard and the sausages adsa smart price / tesco value range... I will not be going back...

Wanted a meal out with our daughter and her daughter so we asked her to book somewhere nearby over the phone. So while we set off in her direction she got on the phone and came up with a 5.45 booking at the Spread eagle. We could have thought why is it not booked up and not gone but we didn't so we did and we're glad we did. The food was excellent, 3 roast beefs and a seafood platter, which I thought was out of this world. Mind you I chose that because my original choice was out because they'd run out. Lucky me eh. Go on try it.

Visited this Venue last week, amazing experience, the tapas was out of this world, absolutely lovely food, the landlords George and Dan are very welcoming and very friendly, the staff are lovely too, I would recommend this place to anyone in the area

Visited the Spread for the first time to meet some old friends and wow! What a great pub this is. The Tapas on a Wednesday was to die for & the drinks deals were epic (I wasn't supposed to be drinking but couldn't resist, ended up having a cheeky 10). Everyone here has done a great to make the place Covid secure too. We felt so safe. Can't wait to visit again

Went to go to the Spread Eagle at Bromley Cross for a quick drink after speaking to our friend (who was already there in the beer garden) and said there was plenty of room and it was quiet so felt it was easy for us to walk in. When myself and my boyfriend walked in, we arrived at the entrance to a member of staff who wasn’t wearing a mask and also numerous young ladies at the bar who were also not wearing masks. After enquiring about joining our friends table (who is in our support bubble) we was told by Lindsay that there was no room for us and after explaining that our friend was already there, she was quick to defend that there was no one by the name of our friend there apart from the bar cleaner, she then appeared to look outside as if she was looking for our friend and then was adamant he wasn’t there. When we knew full well after just coming off the phone with him that he was in the beer garden. On leaving the premises we then opened the back gate to the beer garden to see for sure, the beer garden was empty and our friend was there! Appalled by the rude service we received and extremely disappointed with how we was spoken to and treated.

We've had a couple of takeawys from the Spread Eagle recently and they've been really good! We had the Valentines special last night and it was so lovely! Great food, very well wrapped to keep hot - the special touch was the red rose - can't wait to be able to visit in person!

Well as everything is in lockdown we thought we would try the Sunday takeaway. Must admit i was slightly sceptical that i would still be hungry. Well i was so wrong the food came and the beef was exceptional. I can not recommend the food High enough. Fantastic and we will be ordering again for sure

I asked for fish and chips but was told the chef was not happy with the standard of fish. As a vegetarian (fish is fine) I was somewhat limited but the team offered me loads of options. I had the veggie sausage and mash which was delicious. My friend had chicken pie which she said was really good. We felt really safe with implemented covid measures and the staff were really lovely. Highly recommended.

This pub has been an absolute lifeline during lockdown. From fresh food at their farmers markets, their excellent hot food delivery and the amount they have done for the local community, this is somewhere I will be visiting regularly in the future.
