Four of us went to the crofters for the steak and wine deal. The cocktails we had were amazing, strawberry daiquiris were a delight. We were really well looked after by all the staff, particularly the wonderful waitress Cerise. Unfortunately there was a slight hiccup with our food but this was quickly corrected and we all left really pleased with our evening. The service really did make it!

Called in after pre booking to be told by the most miserable unwelcoming staff who told us the tables weren't available.Instantly took a dislike to the place (door staff non covid friendly with no masks if that's applicable) and left for a more welcoming venue.

During lockdown we have used their takeaway service a lot and we’re always pleased with the food. The service and delivery is fantastic and more importantly at the minute - safe and contactless. Tonight ‘The Crofters’ made my children’s night, included in our food delivery was a couple of their Christmas chocolate bombs - they were exquisite and the look on the children’s faces were amazing as they watched the bomb melt and erupt with the surprise filling - absolutely priceless! Thank you for putting such a smile on my children’s face during such a rubbish circumstances! Can not recommend them highly enough!!

Wow! By looking at all the reviews below this I’m not surprised that I’m adding this review... if I could put 0 I would! First of all, it wasn’t busy at all and more than enough staff on so really NO excuses. There were many customers walking around the venue without face masks on - no staff/managers even battering an eyelid! Nobody from the same household nor where you asked - and some tables not even eating a substantial meal. It’s apparent you must use the app and card to order (no Apple Pay!) so you must know all your card details and have a smart phone. Despite all that - we waited over 1 hour and 30 minutes for our main meals so we asked a manager where the food was, he sent a young waitress to tell us ‘it’s on its way!’ - grow a pair and come over yourself! The food arrived, meh it was okay - certainly not worth the wait. Service was average and if I’m honest I won’t be returning to this venue! People are DYING for a night out at the moment so you need to up your game - not good enough!!!

As a group of friends we booked 2 tables of 12. Rang prior to check that all was ok and to confirm. No problems, only to arrive for our first drink to be told we couldn't enter for no other reason than we had 2 tables of 12. 6 taxis paid for as part of our carefully planned night out. Surely the booking was seen prior and even after the phone caĺl this could of been prevented. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING as we planned very carefully and double checked the day before speaking to a manager on the phone that all would be ok. Will never go back again and would advise the crofters to at least think about people's planned nights when making rules up on the night. I would not advise this venue to anyone unless they changed their ways.

We used to regularly visit the pub as we live nearby. The new area out back looks nice but there is zero social distancing, toilets dirty, sinks don’t work. The place is full of pissed idiots fighting every weekend. The roads around the pub are used as the new car park with small drug canisters around the place. It’s a disgrace! The owners need to get a grip of who they let in and manage it properly. They are currently not following any government guidelines and should be shut!

Overall a very good afternoon out, only a couple of negative things 1 the prices are a little steep (£20 for the cheapest bottle of house wine and £5 for a pint) and 2 the burger was very dry, but overall a fantastic experience. We were taken to our table in the enormous marquee with plenty of space around us close to the bar and an gigantic screen that the kids loved, the receptionist explained how the app ordering system worked, after a few minutes of downloading and trying a waiter saw us struggling from behind the bar and came over (didn’t get his name but he was a massive help, city fan as well!) he helped set the app up and stayed with us while we ordered to make sure it worked. (He even showed me how to update my phone!) The food was very very good overall, half of us ordered from the Thai menu which was all delicious and the others went with pizza which was very good, the kids ordered from the children’s menu which was very good value for money, the only disappointing thing was the burger which was dry and bland. The service was very friendly and helpful and the atmosphere with the live singer was lovely, we will definitely be returning soon.

8 people in total. 1 ordered through the app, food came immediately. To then be told I should not of used the app because the discount does not apply! I ate my meal, whilst others still waited on starters. Asked where my wine was, to be told the app does not work......however I received my food perfectly fine. Wine arrived 30mins later. 45 mins past and starters arrived slowly. Mains followed a long time later.....all still waiting for drinks menu. Appreciate the stress businesses are under at the minute but this restaurant can't handle demand. I asked for the manager/ owner 3times and they never showed. Simply interested in just making money than making customer happy. Shameful.

First impressions were great. Looked nice from the outside. Temp check done and hand sanitizer available. But then shown to a table in the marquee that was far too small to allow 4 to social distance. Also quite close to table behind. The app was good and easy to use but had no explanation on how to use so all the food came at once rather than a round of starters than main. The table was too small to have all the food on. We also found hairs in some of the Thai dishes and some of the starters were very greasy. Not in keeping with nam ploys usual standards. Plastic cutlery, lack of table covering for the cheap pub table, and plastic glasses also made everything feel a bit cheap and tatty. Entertainment was great. Both singers very talented. The set up at the crofters could be great but unfortunately hasn't been executed well. Prob wouldn't go again.

I emailed this privately a week ago after recieving an email asking for a review. Unfortunately I have not received a response despite requesting one. Our experience last Saturday night was ruined by an incident involving a mix up over a drinks package that was handled by your management and security team very badly. Had it not been for this incident, we would have had an enjoyable night as the rest of your team were fantastic, the food was delicious and using the app was straight forward. The toilets were however completely inadequate - that is my biggest observation of the outside area (sinks blocked meaning you could not wash your hands, the queue not social distanced). I pre ordered two drinks packages (gin trees and prosecco), which I paid for the day before, and as requested we rang ahead with details of the gin flavours and mixers for our trees. On arrival I checked in smoothly. At this point the security were polite and helpful, as was the girl on the reception. I asked that the pre ordered drinks be brought to the table at 7.30 everyone had arrived. The gin trees arrived quickly but we had a long wait for our prosecco. We ordered our food via the app and found it really easy to do - we commented that it was the future and a very efficient method. After ordering food our prosecco still hadn't arrived so I waved at a lovely female waitress and asked if she could chase it up. All of our food arrived at a similar time which was great as we had ordered seperately. All of the meals were brilliant - tasty and good portions. Our prosecco still hadn't arrived so I asked after it again. We did not get out proseccos until 8.10pm which was disappointing as we only ordered ahead after being told the best way to make sure we weren't waiting for drinks was to pre order. We were having a good night and felt relatively safe (in terms of covid), as although it was very busy we were sat at our own table on the edge of the marquee and we were enjoying our evening. We didn't need to order any drinks as we had our packages and that meant we could sit back and enjoy our evening without lots of contact from others (staff bringing drinks etc). Around 8.45pm a male member of staff brought over another bucket of drinks; two bottles of flavoured vodka and a bottle of champagne. I told him we had not ordered the drinks and he said that they had been ordered to table 100. He checked our table number and then he checked either his phone or a piece of paper - I am unsure which as I was talking to others sat at the table to check if we had ordered it, however whatever it was that he checked he confirmed it was ordered to table 100 and that it had been paid for. I said that they were not ours and he said to enjoy them. We chatted as a table about who may have sent the drinks, and left them in the bucket. We did not open these drinks for well over an hour as we already had 24 gins and 4 bottles of prosecco on our table. They simply sat there in the ice bucket staying cold. Had someone asked for them back at this point, it would not have been an issue. Later on when the drinks we had pre ordered started to run low, we decided to open the other drinks (which we had been told they were for our table and had been paid for). A female member of staff then brought a tray of pints of lager to our table. We told her we hadn't ordered them - she asked the table number and said 'my mistake wrong table'. Another male member of staff then brought a gin over. I told him that we hadn't ordered it and he confirmed the table number saying it was definitely for table 100. I joked about who was ordering all these drinks to our table and told him we had already had a mystery present and pointed at the bucket. He said it didn't sound right and I told him we had checked and double checked with the waiter who delivered them to us, and told him that we had opened them now as they'd been on our table over an hour. He left and I assume he spoke to management as next three male members of staff (a manager and two of the security team) approached the table and it is from this point that our evening was ruined. This conversation began with a direct accusation that I had dishonestly taken drinks which I knew did not belong to me and I was told that I needed to pay for. I explained the whole of the above, stating I had not been dishonest at any point atnd had been very open about the fact that we hadn't ordered the drinks. I was then questioned and belittled by the two males that were stood at the front. The male stood at the back (security) did join in at points, but it was led by the other two. I was asked to describe the waiter who had brought the drinks to our table, which I did more than once (young black male (21ish) but hard to tell as he had a face covering, slim, corn rolled hair) - I said 'man' the first time I described him and then 'lad' the second - I was asked to clarify if it was a man or a lad as they are apparently very different things and so I was being inconsistent. I was then belittled for using a different term as they repeatedly said 'was it a man or was it a lad. Which one is it?' in an awful condascending tone. At this point I had started to feel very embarrassed as poeple from the next table (not at all linked to this incident) were looking over at us, and I felt frustrated that not only was I being accused of stealing, I was being spoken to rudely, belittled and mimicked. I saw the waiter and pointed him out. I was then asked who we thought would send such expensive drinks as a gift to our table (I did not know the value of the drinks at this point). I explained that we had a few suggestions of who it could have been but this was dismissed. I was further embarrassed when one of the staff stood at our table then pointed at the table behind us and said very loudly that we had drunk their drinks - that it was their order and they were still waiting for it. I was told that we needed to give the rest of the drinks back, which I said was fine but also pointed out it was ridiculous as they would need to be disposed as they were open and had been handled by us at the table and I pointed out that as we are are currently in a covid 19 pandemic they couldn't be given to anyone else. One of your staff then placed this hand on my shoulder, to which I said that they all needed to move away from me so that they were at least a metre away as they were completely in my personal space and breaching government instruction. I told them very cleary not to touch me again, at which point I was told if I was bothered about covid then I wouldn't be there at all. I ended the conversatii saying I would not be discussing it further and to call the police if they genuinely believed I was a thief. Suddenly all three of the men walked away as abruptly as they'd arrived, imagine they were told to come away from the table as that is the only explanation for why they would just stop being so rude and aggressive and walk away. A bit later another gin was delivered incorrectly to our table so we approached and handed it to the manager [who had been one of the three at our table]. I explained how intimidated and embarrassed I had felt and also said that I felt the way it was handled was not acceptable as I had been humiliated Infront of my friends - being called dishonest and in short labeled a thief. He apologised at this point but this apology was in my opinion insincere as it only happened because I approached him and brought the matter up. I was not offered an apology at the table nor were the others sat at my table. Before we left a lovely female member of staff came to our table to clear some of our empty glasses away. She apologised profusely for the way we had been spoken to and said she had tried to intervene as she knew we weren't to blame and felt embarrassed that it was handled so badly. I agreed and said it was disappointing especially given that one of the people was the manager who should lead by example and set high standards of customer care for the rest of the team to follow. This incident completely ruined the evening of everyone at my table. I have not been out socialising since prior to the lockdown in March, and I would rather that the drinks that we had not ordered had never been brought over, because as already mentioned above, we were having a lovely evening enjoying the food and drinks that we had ordered and paid for. I was the person who highlighted the mix up several times, repeatedly to the waiter when he brought the order over, then again to the other male waiter when he brought the gin that we had not ordered. This demonstrates that I was not being sneaky, underhand or dishonest about it at any point. With clarity I can see that this issue was caused by one of two things, either the table that ordered the drinks made an error and ordered it to table 100 thereby making it their mistake, in which case your team should of been telling them it was their own fault. Alternately, your waiter delivered the order to the wrong table number making the issue his/The Crofters fault. In either instance, I was open and upfront about not ordering the drinks from the second they arrived at our table right through to leaving your venue, and I should not have been blamed in anyway, and I most definitely should not have been called dishonest or made to feel intimidated, embarrassed or uncomfortable for the remainder of the evening. In summary, it is a difficult time and the Crofters are trying to recover after lockdown, but this is no excuse for the way I was treated. Our evening was ruined due to bad customer service and I will not be returning.

Only silver lining was the food - once they brought us a knife and fork - and that was Nam Ploy so nothing to do with the Crofters. Give it a miss, I can see why there were tables actually free.

Had a pre-booked afternoon tea at 2pm yesterday. one word - shambles upon arrival I informed the staff we had booked afternoon tea, i was seated and waited for my friend (her birthday!) she arrived and we ordered 2 cokes with the waitress who said your afternoon tea will be with you shortly . We finished our cokes and noticed a lady who arrived after us receive an afternoon tea, we never commented as we where not aware of her situation i.e she may have been sat at the bar and just took a seat. We ordered another coke and continued chatting... the ladies sat behind us where complaining that it had took an hour to get their bill so we didn't want to complain over how long our food was taking as the eat out scheme was obviously making demands on staff.... However, one hour and 15 mins into our visit we noticed staff stood to sides so we asked the lady who served us where our afternoon tea was and the shock on her face when she asked if we had not received. Which we informed we hadn't. The older server then made a (poor timed) joke about having afternoon tea tomorrow to which i promptly told him if he cant serve it after pre-booked we sure as hell would not be coming again !! We asked for bill which never arrived so we walked to counter and was informed cokes on house for mix up Customer service and the lack of sorting the mess was poor !

First impressions was very good - fantastic Covid friendly set up and the food was fantastic and tasty but it all went wrong when we ordered the dessets. As it was the 3rd day of the government 'Eat out to help out scheme' it was very busy and not enough waiters to help all the tables. We waited almost one hour for two desserts to appear and we asked the server about 4 times about them. In the end we just give up wth the no show dessert and decided to ask for the bill instead so we could pay and leave. Well 45 mins later and still no bill (again after asking the waiter about 4 times for it). So after waiting all this time with 2 young tired children we ended up walking to a lady at a till we could see doing the bills so we could pay. I was very surprised to be presented with a bill of £30.50 given the fact we had only had 2 mains and 2 children meals, 3 soft drinks and 1 beer (and it clearly stated on websites including their website that 50% applied to food and soft drinks). I looked at the bill and all drinks were FULL price - I questioned this and the lady stated that the 50% is only off food and not soft drinks (Wonder how many people they have done this to !!) and despite crossing the desserts off the manual bill - they had still added them into the total at the bottom. Plus whoever was adding it up had added it up incorrectly and had added a few quid to the bill in the final total for good measure. I had to show the girl preparing the bills that the 50% discount was also on soft drinks (showed her the crofters website page) and I made her re-add it all up using my phone. Correct total was £21.00 - so they were trying to overcharge me by almost a third (£9.50). I would go again as the food was lovely - but the service needs to improve as to make people wait for almost 1 hr 45 mins is not acceptable and I will always check the bill as think they are trying it on and hoping people will not do a detailed check on it.

We booked two tables, on two consecutive Saturdays. The first was a table for 4. We booked it for my birthday and asked if we could sit in the marque. We were told that was possible and a table had been booked for Saturday 18th July. They rang us a few days before to confirm names on table, I double checked that we were 100% outside and we were told yes. We then queues up for FOURTY MINUTES to actually get to the front to be told we were now inside. Staff apologised for the confusion but it ruined our night really. Rubbish inside no music, no atmosphere. Waited 20 minutes for table service. I put it down to bad organisation but nooo... I returned on Saturday 25th July, with a different set of friends for her birthday. Again, I got a phone call to confirm names on the booking which I did, I also explained what happened the week prior and the mix up with tables. The man apologised and ensured us we were booked in the marque. So imagine this... Saturday 25th... we’re queuing for 30 minutes this time to get in... we reach the front to get our temp checked and.... they put us inside... not only inside but stuck in the corner in a back room on our own. Honestly the worst experience! A young waitress said to us “yes you were probably booked in there but the owner Yogi makes friends with all the 18 year olds and moves the tables round when he feels like it to accommodate them last minute Because he’s sleezy like that” - we had one drink and left.... and will NOT be returning.

He met me in and followed me to the bar. As I was near the bar another bouncer said "get him out, he's wearing trainers" so the original bouncer dragged me by my coat!! I explained outside again that I simply wanted to give something for Christmas to some people in side and they still refused. I hadn't even had a single drink. I booked here for our Barbershop Chorus's Christmas meal (19th Dec 2019). There were 42 of us including wives and partners and considering the variation in meal choices and the amount of people attending they coped with us all very well indeed. The food was good value and delicious, and the attention given to us by the staff was second to none.If you are thinking of booking for a large number of people it is advisable to pre-order with your menu choices well in advance, and the method of payment (card, cash) etc for convenience on the night. These sort of occasions always benefit well by the amount of preparation you put into it before hand, so keeping in touch with the venue with meal choices, cancellations etc will pay off on the night. David and the staff were very helpful and didn't mind a bit by me calling with additions and changes to the original arrangements etc, but once it was sorted it ran like clockwork. Thank you to all the Crofter's staff for such a good evening. I have had lots of good feedback from the Chorus members who attended.Best wishes for the season and new year.Jim.

Other starter was Gamberoni all'aglio which stated on the menu it was in a rich white wine garlic sauce with a hint of chilli. The reality was prawns straight from a packet swimming in some sort of butter and lots of chilli. Mains consisted of spaghetti bolognese which i would have hoped with it being an Italian restaurant, they would actually know how to make it. It was tasteless watery and didn't consists of much meat. To be fair though the risotto al pollo wasnt to bad otherwise i would have marked this experience zero. Vastly over priced and extremely poor we will not be back !!!!!!!!

The afternoon tea experience wasnt great. Sandwiches just ok. Cakes looked like the ones you get in a big box at Iceland! Scones looked shop bought and were already sliced so were very dry. Nothing looked home baked. One of our group had nut allergies and had to ask staff if she was safe to eat the cakes. They said she should be ok! Not the best response when you could die! She gave them a miss and no nut free alternative was offered. The prosecco was probably the best part of it!

We ate here a couple of weeks ago early on a mid-week evening from the a la carte menu and were really disappointed. The welcome was fine even though it was our waitress's first night in a new job. The problems started when we ordered a bottle of Chianti from the wine list only to be told that they had no Italian wine that night - this does claim to be an italian restaurant!

We have just been as a family of four for Father's Day. We had the set menu for £14.95. This included 3 courses of very good quality food. The starters were lovely and the main courses which included Lamb Shanks and Roast beef all of which was cooked to perfection. The deserts were divine, we could only just finish them. I can highly recommend and we will definitely return. I must also say the service was very good and friendly.

We arrived at 6pm on a Sunday, we had booked a table. The car park was really quiet, outside and was really dark, no outdoor lighting to light the way in and actually looked like you couldn’t enter from the car park side of the building. Inside was also really quiet, we waited where signed to be seated and had to wait 5 minutes, there was no one to greet us and the waiting staff were stood at the end of the bar talking amongst themselves. The restaurant itself is very tired looking and could do with a bit of investment, even more so on the chairs. Both chairs we sat in felt like they were going to fall through. We ordered the pate starter and the baked goats cheese wrapped in Parma ham. The pate was very lovely and very well portioned. The goats cheese was one small parcel, not what you would expect from the pricing. However both did taste very nice. The drinks were also served quickly and tasted very nice. We had a steak main and a mushroom tagliatelle pasta dish. The steak was cooked properly and the chips were lovely too. The pasta dish was very greasy and the pesto curdled with the cream leaving the plate looking quite messy. It took a very long time for the mains to be cleared, 25 minutes after we had finished and in that time we both took a bathroom break and a cigarette and still the plates weren’t cleared. In the end we had to ask for dessert menus, the plates were then cleared and we were given the dessert menu which after waiting all that time we were told 2 out of the 6 dishes weren’t even available. So we asked for the bill instead. We weren’t acknowledged upon leaving. Although the food wasn’t bad, the service was, and that’s a big part of going out and paying for a meal and the experience.

Very flexible on food choices as we could choose between main menu or afternoon tea so a good selection for everyone. Afternoon tea was a tenner with unlimited tea and coffee and we had our own private room which we were allowed to decorate freely.

I was targeted by a group of rude, ill-mannered girls at this pub. They barged into me and rudely signalled at me for about an hour in front of bouncers (who saw what theywanted to see). I have never been treated like this in my life and it brought me to tears. How awful when I literally get out once in a 'blue moon' with 2 young kids. No doubt these 'mean girls' with VIP access to Crofters have kids too I thought young mums would be more supportive. We visited The Crofters last night with my daughter and granddaughter, granted it was 8pm on a Saturday night but when we got there I didn’t know if I was entering a club or a restaurant as the male singer ( whom I can’t fault ) was belting out song after song and walking around. Once seated we seemed to wait a long time for our drinks order,my daughter was told that the red wine she wanted wasn’t sold by the glass and when she changed what she wanted she was told that ALSO wasn’t sold by the glass. Another long wait was endured for our order to be taken and the service left a lot to be desired throughout the meal. I can’t fault the food here but the management need to do some serious training with the waiting staff as they don’t seem to have any direction at all.My granddaughter’s order include chips which she never got but which were on the bill when we came to pay. When I went to the bar to pay the bill( which we waited for a long time to appear) it was about 3 deep at the bar and I felt like we were in a club and not a restaurant by this time,it took ages to be acknowledged and upon paying the bill a guy who I think maybe could have been the manager/owner asked me if we’d had a nice time so I informed him of our experience and he then got one of his people to give me a bottle of prosecco,I don’t know if this was to apologise or to placate me but I just want to say that I won’t be returning as this is an establishment that needs to find its identity as to whether it’s a club or a restaurant. This is a shame as this place is SO close to where we live and if it got its act together,it could become a regular haunt but sadly that ain’t to be!

We had a lovely weather on Sunday 06/05/2018 so I said to my Wife shall we have walk to the Crofters which is around 2 Miles up the Road from our Gaff, she had been previously with Her Family and recommended it to me so out into the lovely hot sunny weather and around 45 Mins. later we arrived at the "Crofters" and I was very impressed with this lovely large pub/restaurant large enough that they do in the evening have live entertainment which upon reading "TripAdvisor" reviews seems to get a high score! We were shown to a table immediately and asked did we want a drinks these were ordered and 2 Menus were given to us....impressive service when you consider this was all within 2-3 Mins. Drinks arrived within around 4 Mins. of our order being submitted and a member of staff did take our food order shortly afterwards! This was on a quiet Sunday Dinner time so I can't comment on the service when this establishment is busy. Food arrived within about 15 Mins. and was I must say very tasty and delicious and very fresh and hot. Used the Gents Toilet just before we left, not a flashy affair but very clean and pleasant smelling not like many eating places that have awful smelly and downright disgusting Toilets. Would I go back, most certainly and not in the too distant future either, oh and just to mention that ALL of the staff were exceptionally helpful and very obliging - well done "CROFTERS".

The waiter was the barista who was doing a bit of waiting on and was being mentored which I thought was a good idea. He was chatty and polite. The portions were good and all well cooked. Everyone was pleased with their main meal choices. My friend who is vegetarian said she was spoiled for choice, usually she only has one or two options at the most. We had no time for pudding so we all had a doggy bag. Three of us had cheesecake which was ok but not as good standard as the other two courses. It would be nice if there was fresh fruit salad as a choice. But we all agreed that we would return, and I have been surprised at the poor reviews.

I don't know if the chef was on holiday but sending such poor quality food out when you are quite makes you think there was a problem in the kitchen. I will try the place again as the service was pretty good and they had a decent wine list but if the food is not up to scratch next time then that will be the last time we go.

The brew was nice, once I'd exchanged the cup with lipstick on. Mistakes happen and its how they deal with them that's important. Not a bad place to relax.

I visited the watergate Toby carvery on wednesday 7th as a family, 4 adults and 2 children. We were visiting as a treat for my granddaughters birthday and the whole process was terrible. Myself being coeliac was left unable to eat as there wasn’t food available at the carvery, eg there were few carrots, what was there was dry and crispy and going brown. The leek and cabbage mix was the same, very little in the dish and it was dry and going brown. The staff did do me some cauliflower however that was brought out to the table before any food haad been brought to the children and we didn’t want to get food and start to eat before the children had their food. That cauliflower wasn’t drained well but regardless it was cold soon. my granddaughter and grandson both wanted garlic bread starter, apparently you didn’t have any. They had to then settle for tomato soup which they didn’t really want but don’t like prawns so had no other option. their soup was brought out and the brown my grandaughter had was filled, my grand sons was half ful, of course being 10 years old he wasn’t understanding why the difference, the cost was the same. 5 of us got a hot chocolate and 1 of us had a Pepsi however due to the next issues 2 of us ended up with our hot chocolate drinks being cold 3 of us adults went for the carvery but this is when I could not even get food for my plate However I spoke to the manager on the day and was much less than satisfied The manager was very rude and tried to blame me for there being no fresh veg available, he declared that we shou,d have warned them that we would want fresh vegetables, in 40 years of going to such places I’ve never been told I need to pre book there being vegetables available. Anyone going to a carvery would expect there to be basic vegetables. Carrots, peas and so on The 2 staff members serving behind the carvery counter were also pretty rude. The chef complained that he only has one pair of hands. The turkey had run out but there was a small amount on my plate, I had beef too but they needed more turkey out and while I was stood there with food on my plate as in the bit of turkey and the beef, I was then told the fresh turkey would be out in 10 minutes. No apology, no offer to keep my food warm. Instead I was left stood there having to partly eat while waiting as it was going cold. I had requested fresh roasts with dripping as there were none out at all. I then asked where the fresh veg was and it’s clear I was an inconvenience. In the end I went to sit down, gave them the plate back and saw my family had all started to eat but not one of them had eaten more than half their food. They were not happy with the food. When I complained to the manager that I then no longer even wanted to eat as I would have had the 5 of them sitting waiting for me to finish which wasn’t acceptable for a family meal and we had pre booked tickets to take the children to a local place where they have inflatables so we couldn’t keep hanging around. The manager as mentioned above tried to put this back on me saying we should have pre booked fresh veg to be available. One look at your reviews on trip advisor and Google shows this is certainly not an isolated complaint I certainly gave the manager my thoughts on the treatment we received and I shouldn’t have paid. Totally disgusted with the treatment and service however the young lady who took our drink order and answered our questions did her best. I complained further via X and was contacted by the General Manager Sophie on 12th August. I was unable to respond straight away due to health problems however this should not be an issue and I replied on 26th August asking for more details about the so called investigation into the issues I raised, I want accountability not just offered a voucher for a unknown amount, could have been a £10 voucher for all knew which would leave me with further outgoings. The day was ruined for 6 members of my family, this was the first time I’d been able to take 5 family members and myself for a meal and was left so disappointed, as were every one of us. I have had no response to this email “ Hi Sophie Sorry fir the delay responding, I have thought about your offer however perhaps you could give more detail? You mention other restaurants we could attend however as a party of 6 and only one car in the family this causes difficulties as we are limited to where we can travel as my daughter & son in law had to ferry us about making 4 different journeys to get us all to the carvery in the first place and also my son may have to bring my 2 year old granddaughter if his partner is working so not sure where that would leave us however if we were to travel this would incur further costs for myself to make sure we can all get to any destination as my family are on low incomes. It was the first time we had all gone to somewhere together so was a rare treat. Also I’d like to add that we had pre booked a session at air bounce as part of the treat fir my granddaughters birthday so not only did I not get to eat in the carvery but I could not then eat until I returned home. The mood of the family by this point had been affected to the point no one really enjoyed the rest of the day. You say you would be investigating the issues raised, have you done that yet and if so may I ask the outcome?”

Mid week the atmosphere is great and relaxing, quite lively at a weekend. we have had 1 bad service experience previously however, this seems to have been rectified which is great. Menu has a lot of choice and they will accommodate dietary requirements too. Hope it continues to grow in strength!

Service was attentive from the start and hot drinks were served quickly. Food arrived piping hot and it was beautiful. The atmosphere was lovely and the playlist was BANGING for a 90s baby, I had the best time! 🤣 couldn’t fault anything!
