The best restaurants serving British food in Keswick Allerdale North West

Simply fabulous. We recently had afternoon tea while on a girlie weekend. The views are stunning. The hosts are so friendly and couldn’t do enough for you, and as for the food …. It was absolutely amazing Highly recommend a visit.

A marvellous eclectic cafe. Wonderful service and welcome.

Food was just fine, but not great. Nicer, more upscale place. Made a reservation (we were there in July, on a week day), but didn't need it. Even though the place wasn't full, they sat us next to the door.

The best dog friendly cafe in the lakes. Gorgeous food and the warmest welcome. This is our go to place when walking in the north lakes. All of the food always hits the spot but the cakes are just gorgeous!

We’ve stayed close to this lovely tearoom on quite a few occasions over the last 30 years! We had the pleasure of more regular visits on a recent stay both to the shop (essentials, delicious cakes, teas, coffees, hot food, ice cream, Cumbrian gifts, cards and importantly take away menu) and to the tearoom where we enjoyed toasties and delicious hot chocolate. Being able to take homemade lamb pasties and lots of other goodies is so helpful when self catering and fancy a night off while supporting an established local business. Well placed if staying in the Borrowdale Valley or if you are walking the Cumbrian Way make a plan to stop. Currently open 10-5 daily Above all, you can expect a lovely warm welcome from all the team 😁

We had a lovely dining experience for our anniversary. We had the steak which was quite salty along with the fries. The service was quite slow too, but everything was made up with the dessert which was exquisite. Beautiful presentation, perfectly balanced taste. Friendly welcoming staff.

A meal with a friend and our 3 dogs. Love the fact it is a modern but cosy pub and dogs are welcome! The meal was a reasonable price and we both enjoyed our choices. The dogs loved their dog sausages too!! I will definitely be a returning customer when I’m next in Keswick.

Encontramos este pequeño bistro en nuestros paseos que nunca supimos que estaba abierto al público, así que me alegro de haber encontrado el bistro cuando estamos llamando para caminar o regresar de nuestros paseos y una encantadora sorpresa al ver que estamos abiertos unas pocas noches a la semana, pedimos un asado los domingos después de nuestros paseos mejor carne de vaca que he tenido mi esposa tenía el pollo, la comida era abundante, la excelencia en el servicio y el personal amable y los possets caseros que nos recomendó Silvia. señora muy amable y acogedora acaba de terminar toda la experiencia de cualquiera que esté caminando por el camino al estacionamiento de Skiddaw, recomendaría probar este pequeño lugar

Steak pies here were delicious. Big slabs full of meat. Good selection of beers and very dog friendly too. Great place

Good food but a long queue. Understandably long though - it was a busy day. Chips were good and food was hot. Okay portions - not too small but also not hugely generous. in general, very nice.

Me and my fiancé hadn't been to this resteraunt in a year or so and really enjoyed our last visit, so we were looking forward to going back. We were not disappointed. We had a starter and main each. My soup was lovely, and my partner loved the shrimp and crabbe! I had the venison steak, which was cooked perfectly, and the sides were delicious! The guinea foul supreme was also really tasty. There were no issues with the service, and two people made sure everything was OK with our food. We enjoyed the meal so much, and we are very excited to go back soon!

We had a lovely meal. The service was excellent. Really attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. The stead was cooked perfectly. We also had breakfast here the following day. Again, the service was just perfect. The staff were great. Each and every one to them offered such excellent service.

Perfect meal! Steak was one of the best I've had and perfectly cooked, lamb shoulder was also super tasty good size portions and good pricing, lovely atmosphere, great service! And dogs allowed 😁

It's a family run, simple café on the main street into Keswick. They have a good selection of traditional lunch items and cakes. They also do a variety of crêpes including savoury buckwheat crêpes. I had a lovely crêpe with mozzarella and pesto. The staff were friendly and helpful and accommodated the tweaks requested by the kids.
