The best restaurants serving British food in North West

This is one of my favourite place to eat, lovely healthy food.

Great service, excellent choice of courses, lovely food with clever presentation. Superb value for money and obviously a brilliant way for the students to learn their craft. We'll definitely be back!

The best homemade cheese and onion pie we’ve ever tasted. Beautiful cafe, excellent service and pleasant staff. Well worth a visit.

Wow! What an amazing place. Everything was lovely from the environment to the staff and food. I also learned that everyone volunteers and all monies made are donated to charities and local community groups! How fantastic!

Staying at local caravan and motorhome site. Thought we’d support local charity Oak Tree Animals’ Charity. Had delicious generous sized homemade cheese scone, raspberry scone and coffees served by friendly staff in a pleasant clean welcoming environment. Bonus dog walk opposite site with dog activity ares and amazing views.

This is the first time we have been to Betty's. My goodness what fab food. Got a bacon and sausage patty breakfast bun in a ciabatta roll. We added mushrooms too. It was delicious. Best I've ever had. The quality of in ingredients was top class. The staff were so nice to. A totally amazing little jem right across from the sea. Thank you ladies we will be back. Again amazing.xx

One of the cutest little coffee shops, right by the promenade. Very little room inside, but plenty of seating outdoors. Chocolate brownies are a definite speciality, fudge too. We stopped off for coffee and cake, trying two brownies plus a bakewell blondie. A real treat was the square of fudge they give you free with your hot drink. Expecting it to be quite expensive, I was relieved to be told that they accept card payments, I was also pleasantly surprised by the final bill. Will definitely return…very soon. Open daily Wed-Sun. this place is amazing we went for a three course xmasmeal on dec 12th for20 pounds each the place was full.it is run as an academy .the staff are brilliant and they workas a charity.we sang carrols for xmas.it is not open every day but you will get a well cookedmeal for 10 pounds on normal days.

Whilst trying to amuse my two young son's on a recent visit to Cumbria I took them to the vintage farm. And while that itself is great the real highlight was The Chicken Shed cafe on the site. The food is lovely with the homemade cakes being among the best I have ever tasted. The lady who runs the place is a great host and when my 9 year old cheekily asked for a beer she passed him a bottle of child friendly shandy that made his day. There's also a wide variety of homemade ice cream available which was music to the ears of my 6 year old (and me). Even if you don't fancy visiting the farm itself the food and hospitality at The Chicken Shed is worth seeking out.

Popped in for some lunch after a walk. Absolutely lovely ladies and food was delicious - really warmed us up after the heavens opened! Can’t wait to come back!

Un pequeño restaurante bistró estupendo, que se adjunta al Hotel Albert. Entre buena comida, y un excelente servicio, no dudaría en recomendar este lugar para una comida a cualquiera. Filete perfectamente cocinado, y una maravillosa parrilla de cordero; todo a precios muy razonables.

The food is excellent . I would recommend sitting in for the food . The staff are very helpful and happy to see you.

Great greetings from the moment we went in, door held open and escorted to our table. Wait staff very polite and friendly, service attentive. Good choice of meals and drinks. Seated up on mezzanine, enjoyed every minute of our visit.

I can't fault anything about my visit, food was hot, fresh and extremely tasty delivered by an efficient group of pleasant waitress staff. Sadly the venue is closing tomorrow, a sad loss for people wanting a great meal
