Super cheese burgers! Excellent food in general. Full English breakfast is recommended.

First class service & food (1st time in Crawshawbooth for me) but definitely on the radar now!. I was the guy whose stomach was doing "cartwheels". Whenever we come to Rawtenstall now then we'll travel a bit further for the quality on offer. Would certainly have no hesitation in recommending the Corner Cafe in Crawshawbooth

Don’t allow dogs in or prams unlike 99% of other breakfast places in the valley so pretty outdated attitude towards modern families tbh. I get it’s small but so is the water trough on Burnley road east and they have no issues with either 🤷🏻‍♂️

This cafe is an absolute gem. The breakfasts are perfectly cooked (and I am VERY fussy), the service is fantastic, food arrives promptly, it is spotlessly clean. What more could you ask - delicious homemade cakes and flapjacks? They have those too! Individual chocoate orange cheesecake was unbelievably good. And they do takeaway. With this standard of food and service it can get busy, so consider booking ahead. Highly recommended.

Came for breakfast before a nice Sunday walk, beautiful hot, food amazing price, and the lady who served us made us feel almost at home, so down to earth and had a laugh with us. Can’t fault the food or service. Definitely recommend. Thank you!

Lovely food and very attentive friendly staff

Arrived on time for our reservation and the staff were accommodating, allowing us to sit promptly while providing us with a highchair for our toddler son. The menu sounded intriguing, with items such as a chicken and mango chutney panini. In the end I went for the cheese burger. Drinks and cutlery arrived in good order, however, please note that if one customer is so young they require a highchair, don't place their drinks and cutlery right in front of them, give them to the parent to handle. The food arrived within 10/15 minutes. As I had the burger, I normally deconstruct to see what is in it. The bun was not toasted so as I progressed it became bit of a mess towards the end. However, and I'm sad to say, I found a hair at the bottom of my burger. Normally I would mention it, however we were never asked if everything was ok. The burger itself was good, nice quality beef with a good tangy relish. The chips for me where a little thin and dry (my wife liked them though). Our additional side of onion rings were good, very crispy. I choose not to have a dessert, but my wife went for the Terry's chocolate orange cheesecake which went down a treat. Although it was busy, the service was somewhat chaotic and a little inexperience could be seen in the handling of the service. Try to be a little discreet when asking colleagues if they have done this, that, and the other, around customers. As I said at the start, I had heard good things about The Corner Café, and I did feel a little disappointed when we left. But I hope to return one day for a more pleasant experience.

The menu has a fabulous range of breaky items, with options to pick and choose, and even upgrade to the local butchers sausages - worth the pence extra for quality & supporting another local business. It tasted excellent, and you might not get fancy frothy moccas, but you do get a decent brew, a milky coffee, or cafetiere as options. The service is excellent, friendly & fun, and you're treated like a regular even though this was our first time. It was busy, with most tables full & a steady stream of takeaway items. They're only open from Wednesday to Sunday, which is why we've missed out on getting here, but it will not be our last trip.

A great Lancashire welcome here. We always come away with a smile on our faces after visiting the Corner Cafe. Always well looked after and made to feel right at home. The breakfasts are brill, the cakes fantastic and the specials - just what's not to like😋 The vegetarian options on offer are brilliant too especially the potato and lentil burger. I regularly visit the cafe, for breakfast and dinner. The food is awesome and the burgers are very tasty indeed. My son loves the cheese paninis and says the cafe makes the best ones. The home made cakes, speak for themselves really.......very yummy. Prices are extremely reasonable and the staff are very friendly.

I usually visit with my parent a bit brought my boyfriend this time, blasting that this was the best breakfast north or Bury to him (he’s a chef too!) We weren’t disappointed at all. We never are though. The full English is a steal at the price and incredibly cooked. I’d advise asking for the fancy sausages and spam if you’re a fan! We finished off with cake to go and as always the owner Jane was completely on form. If you’ve not been I highly recommend!

This place is a little bit of luxury in a small Lancashire village. You’re welcomed with a smile and a bit of banter if you stay long enough. The cafe is clean, tidy and decorated to a good standard. I had a chance to pop to the ablutions before I left, and was amazed by the large selection of hand soaps and soft to the touch toilet roll, nice!!!!! A small business to be very proud of! Oh, and the food was ok! 😜

We have as a family been visiting Corner Cafe for many years, I can honestly say it is one of the best value cafes around, wether you go for breakfast, lunch, fresh soup, or homemade cakes you won't be disappointed. Jane and her wicked sense of humour add to the ambience and the price makes it affordable to all, and it's fully family friendly.

We’ve been coming here as a family of 6 for years. I haven’t been for a while due to our busy sporting weekends.... nipped up today with one of my daughters. She had a vegetarian breakfast, I had a humble chip butty!!! Gorgeous food, good quality & very reasonably priced. Not forgetting Jane’s front of house service 😀 We always have a giggle 😂

I've been there on more than one occasion with family members and friends. I can honestly say I have never had a bad meal there or a had any bad service , easily the best in rossendale. 5 stars

We have been visiting the Corner Cafe since our children were very small (they’re now taller than Jane) and make a habit of eating here when we have visitors of all ages. The food is wonderful; great quality, well prepared. Jane will put together any combination of items to keep her big and little guests happy and has a supply of children’s plates and cutlery to reduce the stress over breakages. We have never had a bad visit.

Arrived an hour before closure, only one table occupied, lady refused us to enter with a pram despite my young baby being asleep in it! I would have understood with the cafe was busy, although it wasnt and was plenty of room, this cafe is not family friendly.

Nice lunch out with the family, had a lovely cheese burger and my mum’s salad was tremendous- both filling and tasty. The service was great as was chatty and full of humour, adding to the overall positive vibe of the experience! Great food and a great all round visit.

We’ve been coming to the Corner Cafe for a few years now and always enjoy our visits! The food is home cooked and you never have to wait very long for it to be served. Jane is always entertaining, my kids love to see her- a fab local cafe, serving locally produced food- hard to beat!!

My husband and I eat regularly at the Corner Cafe. The food is very good and reasonably priced. Service is cheerful and prompt. We can recommend this restaurant to everyone, definately well worth a visit.

Upon visiting The Corner Cafe, we found the staff so welcoming and friendly, the food was tasty, cooked and presented excellently, I visit many cafes and restaurants whilst travelling on work commitments and I can say this cafe was one of the best I have visited. For a decent breakfast and hot drink, with a really friendly atmosphere, The Corner Cafe I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.

The cafe is excellent, such friendly staff! The owner is lovely and bubbly lady with a very friendly and warming persona. The young girls are very helpful and assist you when and if you need for anything you want or have a question about. The food is really good and quick service without making you feel rushed to get out, overall a really good cafe for a weekend breakfast!!! Will definitely be visiting again

I've been to The Corner Café on a good number of occasions with my girlfriend and sometimes my mother. Every time the quality of food and drink is excellent, and the cafe is small but clean. There is a toilet in the back located past the counter which is modern and clean. The menu is a little limited in what it offers in choice, but what they do make, they make well. It should be the perfect little café. But the service leaves something to be desired that drags the entire experience down to mediocrity and sometimes below.The middle age lady (who I presume is the owner or co owner) is always polite and welcoming. The food is always cooked well and quickly, even when the café is full. But the other members of staff - predominantly, if not entirely, young girls, are fairly inconsistent in their attitude to customer service. Sometimes they seem reasonably polite, but more often they seem apathetic and disinterested in their job. I'm not expecting conversation. I'm a fairly tight lipped person myself. But I do expect the basics. That is to say, a service with a smile and adequate manners. Occasionally this is on display, but many more times is is not.For me though, today was the straw that broke the camel's back. The café this morning was quiet (probably the quietest I've seen it in all the time's we've been) and as I approached the counter to pay, I was willfully ignored for some time (a minute or two) by two members of staff - both young girls - who were not busy or preoccupied with anything else, but instead decided that pretending as if I wasn't even there was the best thing to do. I have worked in service jobs myself - from pubs, supermarkets, and some of the most busy restaurants in the general area - and one thing you always do is acknowledge the presence of your customers, even if you're to busy to deal with them. A quick "I'll be with you in a moment" usually suffices. But in this instance, neither of the two staff members were doing anything, and yet chose to not acknowledge me. When one of them eventually decided that they could be bothered to allow me to pay, she couldn't have been more indifferent. There was no apology and a half hearted "thank you" as my change was to return to my hand. I have tipped generously every single time (a minimum of £2 and often £3 - usually more than %10 of my total bill) but this time I was so disgusted and insulted with the service when it came to paying that no tip was given. I have observed this aloofness towards myself before on other occasions, but I brushed it off and let it slide because they have been a bit more busy and we can all have an off day. But this morning was the final straw. Not only did I not tip for the first time, I might have dined their for the last time.

This is a lovely little café. The staff are so very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them.The soups are very special indeed-today it was potato and parsnip and was delicious.The cakes are very tempting too.I really can't recommend this place enough. Try it, you'll love it!

We were lucky to get a table as really busy just after opening. I needed a gluten free option and had a delicious cooked breakfast with hash browns, bacon, egg, mushrooms and beans. Was cooked to perfection and very friendly staff. Lovely toilet facilities too.

Have been here regularly for over 4 years, and it never disappoints. The fantastic experience of course starts with Jane, the owner, who always greets everyone with a smile. With quite an extensive menu, there is always something new to try, from a simple sausage sandwich, which is locally sourced (from the butchers 30 feet away) to one of the ever changing specials. The cafe is decently sized, with more than enough room to feel comfortable during the stay, and due to popular demand, can get very busy at times, particularly around dinner time at weekends, but the well trained staff are more than competent at dealing with the mad rush, and the food never differs in quality at such a busy time.There is a reason that trip advisor consistently awards a certificate of excellence, and that The Corner Cafe has won the best cafe award for the whole of Rossendale and Darwen. If you haven't tried it before, you are definitely missing out!

We popped into this cafe for brunch on the weekend. 11ish seemed a good time as we easily got a table but 40 minutes later we'd have struggled. It was our first time at The Corner Cafe and we'd definitely go again. Good straightforward breakfast, snacks and lunch menu. We ordered two full English breakfasts and our little boy had a cheese sandwich. Good was very nice, I liked the selection of the English breakfast: black pudding was good and the hash brown and nicely poached eggs along with all the other usual items, you could opt for toast or French toast too. You could also opt for Riley's sausages, which we were going to (but forgot when ordering). Anyway it was all great. The coffees were nice. Think I'll go for a milky coffee next time we visit. The pièce de résistance was the cake we couldn't resist before leaving. Our son chose a big slab of chocolate cake but my husband and I shared a slice of lime cheesecake with a dark chocolate base. It was gorgeous. The cheesecake bit was so light and tasty and the thin chocolate base complimented it perfectly. I'd absolutely love the recipe for it. If The Corner Cafe made cakes to order I'd buy a whole one to take home for a special occasion! Next time we go I'm also going to ask if they do junior English breakfasts as our son stole a fair bit of ours haha.

I have visited here on a number of occasions with my 15 month old baby with family and on my own with my little boy and the staff are more than helpful and extremely accommodating. They always make me feel very welcome and nothing is too much trouble. I feel at ease even when my baby (who likes to feed himself) drops most of his food on the floor!!!!!!The food is lovely and affordable and the homemade cakes are delicious. They are more than happy to make a smaller portion for my baby and make him something that he likes.As a parent visiting this cafe with a baby I would definitely recommend. I feel totally at ease and I know I can go there on my own with my baby and know that I will be welcomed and looked after. For me this is extremely important and I return regularly because of this.

We have been here a number of times now based on the 5 star reviews but feel its unlikely we will be back again. Thats not to say its a bad place but for us its a place we have to travel too rather than pop in due to convenience or desire. I can honestly say that the cafe is very clean and the food well prepared, the staff are polite but not social or interacting with customers as mentioned by others. In fact the atmosphere is somewhat sterile, with numerous notices dictating that once you have finished don't hang around and that no pushchairs be brought inside, all written in a very curt fashion. Perhaps certain regulars know the staff and this is where their opinion is biased on the fantastic "funny" staff - who knows maybe they are and the notices are some form of course wit. That aside I agree with the notices underlying message but the way in which they are written I feel gives off a poor impression and that anyone rude enough to require such a notice would be unlikely to abide by them anyway.Overall however its a reasonable place to eat. I wouldn't say its good value but again is average in its pricing. The menu is not extensive but offers a good range of foods and each that I have had or seen appears well presented. The place is quite small but doesn't feel overcrowded and has a light and airy feel to it, perhaps most importantly it feels clean with tables cutlery and condiments immaculate. There is limited local parking and it maybe a bit tight inside for a wheelchair users comfort. Would I recommend it, yes, I just don't believe it warrants 5 stars. There is nothing stand out excellent but if you are passing and fancy a bite to eat then its certainly one of the better places in the Rossendale valley to go. To be fair I would rank this 3.5 stars - Good - but unfortunately its the choice between Average and Very Good and I don't feel the latter is a suitable rating. Improvements would not be difficult. Get rid of the signs, ensure staff are confident and welcoming not just polite, ensure a better level of table service, introduce very light background music, and either decrease the prices slightly or increase the quantity.

I have been around and enjoyed some great Breakfasts, but its fair to say i'll be back to this little gem. Slightly off the beaton track, however worth the detour. I couldn't resist a slice of cake and another cuppa before hitting the road!!

Having read the reviews about The Corner I was keen to try it out and went with a friend for lunch. We were very happy with the food, service and atmosphere. I was also not disappointed by the lovely lemon curd cake which came highly recommended! It was great value for money and I would definitely go back.
