The best restaurants serving British food in North West

Honestly this is the best breakfast by far in Chorley !! The staff could not be anymore friendly and accommodating, specifically to my needs . Food is always cooked to perfection and the place is always clean and ready to go . I’ve been going for food since around November 24 and it’s always my first choice to go since then . Would highly recommend and have recommended to mates etc ! Top job team

We missed this cafe last time we came to visit as we came on a Monday. Open Tuesday to Saturday. Lovely surprise cosy cafe with friendly and courteous staff. Good choice of food on the menu and very reasonably priced. Food of choice Leek and pea soup with granary bread, cheese and onion Quiche served warm with side salad and chips. Both offerings homemade and the Quiche was delicious. Thank you so much thoroughly enjoyed, great to find you open, we will be returning in the future.

Visited on 26th may saw this place online looked very nice on the pics so i booked for afternoon tea as a birthday treat .i was disgusted with the cakes we got cheap made cakes and certainly wasnt cupcakes like was shown on the website got very little and cheap made stuff for 16.50p per person .i dont drink tea or coffee they would only provide soft drink for an extra charge which i wasnt happy about knowing i dont like hot drinks so a couple more quid added onto bill. Wont be coming here again as its very over rated

Always great food, fresh, large portions and tasty! love the staff they are fantastic. I had the chicken chaser salad today it was gorgeous- hot chicken , croutons and parmigiana. Fabbbb

What a little gem of a cafe! Next to a decent sized car park, we popped into Yam Frae Yam on a disgustingly wet Saturday afternoon. We had missed the breakfast menu (served until 12) but one of us had a bacon and brie panini and lemon meringue blondie. Both were delicious and great quality. We both also had coffees which were expertly made. The staff were particularly friendly and helpful, even giving us recommendations on walking trails locally and showing us specific routes on Google maps. Loved the unusual decor and the cafe felt spacious - unlike many others where you feel like you're sat on top of other customers! A lovely place to spend a few hours on a rainy afternoon. We hope to return again and sample the breakfast menu! And a shout out to the young lad working there who served our drinks and food and was proactive in clearing our table.

The hotel itself is set in stunning grounds and the interior (we visited Goldies Lounge & The Vines Restaurant) is nothing short of luxurious, with its opulent décor, soft lighting, and attention to every detail. The atmosphere is refined yet inviting, setting the stage for a memorable dining experience. The service is impeccable. The staff were attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable about the menu and truly passionate about ensuring that every part of the meal was perfect. Every staff member we encountered made us feel like honored guests and their professionalism truly set the tone for the evening. We opted for the taster menu with wine pairings. Every dish was beautifully presented, bursting with vibrant flavors that were both innovative and comforting. From the delicate amuse-bouches to the decadent desserts, each course was a perfect balance of texture, flavour and creativity. The wine pairings were equally spectacular, with each pour complementing the courses perfectly. The sommelier’s expertise was evident, guiding us through the selections with detailed descriptions and insight into the origins and notes of each wine. Each sip seemed to enhance the flavors of the dishes, making the experience all the more enjoyable. However, what truly set this experience apart was the service that went above and beyond. After our meal, we found ourselves in a bit of a predicament when our taxi failed to arrive. Without hesitation, a staff member offered to drive us home, ensuring we had a safe and comfortable journey back. This kind gesture left a lasting impression on us. It wasn’t just about the meal; it was about making sure we felt cared for in every way. This restaurant offers not just an evening out, but a genuine escape into a world of luxury, fine dining, and exceptional service. I cannot recommend it highly enough and will undoubtedly return to experience more of the unforgettable magic they create.

My husband, daughter and I enjoyed an evening of pizza and chips surrounded by lovely flowers in a wonderful setting whilst drinking our wine. The owner and his wife were very friendly and we will definitely go again if there is another pop up pizza evening.

My friend and I had the full English Breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. Good quality ingredients, served hot and large portions. The service was really good and the prices are cheap! Seriously, for that quality you would expect to pay a lot more.

Great service, excellent choice of courses, lovely food with clever presentation. Superb value for money and obviously a brilliant way for the students to learn their craft. We'll definitely be back!

A really lovely cafe with very good food and extremely friendly, welcoming staff. My family and I enjoy going here for lunch and always have a nice time. Would highly recommend!

Wentvon Burns night. Great food and atmosphere. The young people will enhance the trade in the coming years. I hope they stay local as they will enhance The Wirral and be a credit to themselves.

Staying at local caravan and motorhome site. Thought we’d support local charity Oak Tree Animals’ Charity. Had delicious generous sized homemade cheese scone, raspberry scone and coffees served by friendly staff in a pleasant clean welcoming environment. Bonus dog walk opposite site with dog activity ares and amazing views.

Wow! What an amazing place. Everything was lovely from the environment to the staff and food. I also learned that everyone volunteers and all monies made are donated to charities and local community groups! How fantastic!
