The Wizard's Pot Tea Room in Chorley

Visited on 26th may saw this place online looked very nice on the pics so i booked for afternoon tea as a birthday treat .i was disgusted with the cakes we got cheap made cakes and certainly wasnt cupcakes like was shown on the website got very little and cheap made stuff for 16.50p per person .i dont drink tea or coffee they would only provide soft drink for an extra charge which i wasnt happy about knowing i dont like hot drinks so a couple more quid added onto bill. Wont be coming here again as its very over rated

I was treated to Mother's Day Afternoon Tea. Absolutely gorgeous. The welcome was as friendly as ever. The staff are very polite and efficient. The decor is great. Everywhere you look is a delight to behold!! The food was amazing, soup, sandwiches, sausage rolls, scone, cream and jam, cupcakes, choccy frogs, biscuits, pack of sweets and a lovely big pot of tea. Well done Eloise and your ladies. We will return again and again ..........................

Visited today for the first time. 2 vegan breakfasts and one poached eggs on toast. Really good value with well cooked quality ingredients....the eggs were perfect! Can't fault and will be back for sure. Recommend booking as very small.

Firstly, this is wizards tearoom not Harry potter (prob due to copyrights) but does have the HP theme. Went for an afternoon tea which was bought for us as a gift. It is a little pricey, but the food is home made and plenty of it. We can eat, but even we were stuffed, determined to get through it! Only small cafe, so best to book I think. They have a few seats outside at the back for better weather which is dog friendly (outside only). We are foodies and would say the food is excellent and the staff were lovely. Definitely worth a visit if you are a wizard fan. There is music in the background which I assume is from Harry Potter (wasted on us cos we know nothing about HP but helped the atmosphere!). I think they could become victims of their own success and may need to extend as they become more popular. Would definitely recommend and will try to get back again as local to us. Loved it!

I went in for the standard afternoon tea at £14 per person and it was amazing, the service is attentive and friendly and the actual afternoon tea was delicious, it honestly defeated me. The decor is beautiful and everything in the café is just perfect. The home-made soup was an absolute highlight but everything was so tasty and well presented. The place is absolutely spotless as well and tables get cleared as soon as someone leaves. The owners should be incredibly proud of what they have as it's a truly special venue.

I went for the wizard special afternoon tea with some friends and it was amazing! The staff are so lovely and friendly, as well as welcoming! Everything was clean and tidy as well as really well sign-posted so we knew which table we were sat at. We started off with some drinks, and then received some soup and chips to start off with - which were absolutely delicious! They explained everything was homemade and you can really tell a lot of effort and thought was put behind it, the presentation of all the food was really well put together and it looked fantastic! Then when the actual afternoon tea came, I was blown away by the layout and the amount of food that we were given! The staff were lovely and kept checking up on us to make sure we were okay and if we wanted any more drinks. The price for the amount of food, the service, the experience, was very reasonable and for the fact that you can take whatever’s left over home with you as well, it’s such great value for money!! Would definitely come back again - in fact, I’ve already booked in again for my birthday!

When The Wizard's Pot opened in lockdown we ordered some afternoon teas for delivery - gluten free and normal, adults and kids. Wow they were brilliant and we absolutely loved the little touches provided by the every flavoured beans, hand made chocolate frogs and the HP sweets. We couldn't eat it all and had to save quite a bit for the next day as there was so much to eat. The portions aren't skinny so expect to be filled up here! Since then I have had a few orders of take out cakes by pre order or by from calling in and I have had the pleasure to visit for tea and a brownie with my friend. The ladies in the tea room are very welcoming and remember people who have been before which is lovely. The tearoom is filled with fantastic memorabilia from the wizarding movie and most of it handmade by the family. It's beautiful and quirky and we love it inside. It's a treasure trove. The food is delicious and the gluten free options are brilliant and the brownie is the only gluten free brownie that I don't resent eating anywhere. I love having this lovely tea room in our town - and it's really a hidden gem in the town. The menu also has lots of daily vegan options which is brilliant. The gluten free must be ordered in advance I look forward to my next visit.

My partner and I recently visited for afternoon tea and the food was fantastic. Everything was home made and tasted delicious. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and we had a great day. This is a must to visit for any Harry Potter fans. We will be sure to visit again soon.

This is a lovely, quaint and quirky tea room which is full of Harry Potter memorabilia. The staff who we have encountered have been delightful and wonderful with my little boy who is 7 years old and an avid Harry Potter fan. The tea room is only small so I would recommend booking, however, I have turned up on spec and managed to get a table outside and the service is just as good. The coffee is good and I’m told the milkshakes are fab! The cakes are always delicious and we can’t wait to head back for lunch over summer. All in all, definitely worth a visit for any Harry Potter fan! But with good cake and good coffee, give it a shot even if you haven’t read Harry Potter!

We took the grandchildren for breakfast - they are huge Harry Potter fans and they thoroughly enjoyed their little treat, truly magical. Everything was fab, the breakfast, cakes, milkshakes! And the staff are lovely and very welcoming. Our 6 year old grandson said it was the best breakfast he’s ever had!! And they can’t wait to go back again.

I absolutely love this cafe! With being a huge Harry Potter fan, I was excited from the moment I walked in. All the decor was amazing to look at, from candles hanging from the ceiling like in the great hall at Hogwarts, to a wall like Delores Umbridge office with cat plates hung up...they even had blue pixies floating in the air! The food was lovely and the staff were very friendly too. I love that the menu had certain items that were related to Harry Potter. I particularly enjoyed the butter beer milkshake they had on offer! I'm looking forward to visiting the place again in the near future!

I’ve been here several times, and it gets better every time I visit! The theming is wonderful and detailed, and there’s more every time we visit! The menu isn’t huge but offers some delicious options from toasties to Afternoon Tea, and the quality of the food has always been excellent and plentiful. Standard toasties have been tasty, whilst Afternoon Teas have been delicious and fun! I personally like some of the “special” teas, and the cakes and treats seem to vary all the time, which is exciting! The staff are very pleasant, they make you feel warmly welcomed, and are both professional and friendly! From a location point of view it’s back a few streets but next to an excellent cheap car park. I genuinely look forward to my next visit. It’s always magical :)

My mum and I regularly visit. The welcome you receive is warm and genuine. Cakes delicious always a very good selection. The outside and interior are great. Very authentic My son and partner have been a number of times. In lockdown they ordered the afternoon tea. Very generous. It is well worth a visit.

We have had a few afternoon teas from here now, all have been amazing!! would not go anywhere else now. We drive 40 minutes to come and get our tea.
