Lovely food and service, really good value for money, nice house wine, not mega expensive will definitely be back again

A quaint little place in the heart of Chorley. Owner works on front of house and is lovely but talks your ear off if you let him hahaha! Great food and drink.

We have been to Encore previously however we visited again at the weekend and we were amazed with the attention to detail given to every aspect of our visit. Greeted warmly, prompt explanation of the menu and drinks order taken (number of wine glasses noted). The meals were absolutely delicious and presented beautifully. I asked about the carb content of one of the sides on my plate and the staff member went out of their way to find out for me. Our new favourite place in Chorley to eat! Thank you

Had the most incredible meal at Encore tonight. The food was incredible especially the salt and pepper prawn toast. All staff were so polite and could not do enough for you. Can’t wait to visit again!

We have been going to Encore for years. The food is quite simply superb and we have always enjoyed going. Service has always been great and we have always felt welcome. Encore is not a huge place but is all the better for being snug. The atmosphere has always been pleasant and relaxed. Highly recommended and great value.

Duck starter was very nice. Lamb roast was ok. Meat was a bit fatty, I had one carrot on plate and partner had none which seemed strange. Main gripe was food was £42. and the bill came to £54. This was for 2 pints lime and soda at £3.50 each, which I thought was extremely expensive and then a 10% gratuity charge was automatically added, which I don’t agree with… If I want to pay extra I feel it is up to me to decide how much I want to pay.

Excellent place with a very warm welcome. Chimichurri steak bavette was delicious served with skin on fries. The Chimichurri chicken, red pepper and onion pizza was stone baked and nicely cooked. All made with fresh ingredients. Service was excellent and very attentive. Desserts were also delicious especially the Sticky date & stout pudding, toffee sauce and vanilla bean ice cream and the Summer berry crumble and custard. Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit!

I had the pleasure of having my first dining experience at Encore today and it blew me away. I would highly recommend giving it a visit. The food was some of the best I have ever had and I eat out at restaurants often. I had the soup, Sunday roast and the waffles - everything was incredible. The gravy for the Sunday roast is such a labour of love, they said it takes days to make and you could absolutely tell - it was the best roast dinner I have ever had. The food was of the highest quality and the value for money was amazing! The staff were all lovely - the owner has such a passion for his restaurant, the food and ensuring customer satisfaction which radiates off of him and creates such a beautiful atmosphere. He made such a lovely effort to engage with all of us and made us feel so welcome. James the waiter was also super attentive and professional. Encore is now officially one of my most favourite restaurants and I will be coming back whenever I can. Thank you to the owner and staff - you’re all fantastic.

We’ve never been able to find the slightest room for improvement when dining at Encore; tonight was no different. A really well thought out menu; the prawn toast was everything my wife hoped it would be and the frickles were a playful appetiser delivered very well, with light crispy batter and a really well balanced mustard mayo. Mains were Chicken Penang, which proved to be a comforting bowl of Thai flavours excellently put together with delicate spicing and creamy textures. The steak bavette was something else; melt in the mouth with the chefs own cure and a chimichurri sauce which complimented the meat really well. Waffles and sticky toffee pudding (elevated with a stout and date richness) rounded off the meal superbly. As always, exceptional service from Gareth and the team. We’ll be customers for life…

A hidden gem of Chorley. The restaurant nor menu isn't large but has something to suit everyone, the food is lovely and the dining experience is really nice without being overpriced. A mainly young service staff that have a great attitude to their job and do it well. The cocktail bar upstairs is stylish and appealing. Definitely a great venue.

Absolute gem of a place. Paid a visit last Friday with a mate and every bit of food I had was delicious (maybe too much batter and not enough fish on the fish but maybe I am nitpicking?) All in all damn fine food served by professional and friendly staff made for an extremely pleasant visit and I'll be back again. Would highly recommend

Lovely little restaurant, right next to the theatre and the staff make an effort to get you in and out in time for your show. Honestly one of the best roasts I’ve ever had, it’s one of those places where I found I was unsure what to pick as I wanted it all! I’m from the Lakes and I’d make an effort to go back. Everyone who served us was lovely and the atmosphere was great, beautifully decorated and just about all the plants were real which is surprisingly rare in restaurants

This was our first visit. We were made very welcome and the food and service was fantastic. The lamb Sunday roast was perfect and the prawn toast was the best I’ve ever had.

The best Prawn Toast you will ever have! We came here for Sunday lunch and I could not resist the Prawn Toast for my starter. We all know the infamous starter from our favourite take away, but Wow!! This was just next level. I had the beef for my Sunday roast and this was as good as always. The creamy cabbage and leaks were a great addition. Gravy on point as always which we all know is the most important part of a roast. Highly recommended 👌🏼

Visited Encore today (Easter Sunday) as family of 8, aged from 11 to 78! The food was exceptional, all had Sunday roasts with exception of one who who had the fish. Food served was hot, fresh and tasty and the roast potatoes where amazing, I would return just for these alone! Desserts were lovely, particularly the Eton mess with passion fruit, just delicious. Service was great, staff lovely and friendly and knowledgeable about the food, regularly asking if food was ok and if more drinks were needed. Have absolutely no negative comments to make, fantastic from start to finish. Thank you.

We went to Encore Corley from U3 A dining out group on the 21st March 2024, (15 of us) Very enjoyable, pleasant ambiance, the food and service were excellent. Highly recommended.

The food was a massive disappointment. Particularly the pate, it had the consistency of mush.

After reading reviews I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant. Maybe it was because it was a Sunday but I was totally underwhelmed. Service was good but the food was average. The pate was peculiar to say the least . Sloppy not firm and no flavour. The roast beef dinner looked amazing but sadly the eating of it didn’t match the aesthetic. The Yorkshire pudding was huge but cold . The veg were lovely and the gravy was tasty however the beef was tough and flavourless . Very disappointing.

Went with the family and we all all had the three courses Sunday lunch. Firstly for£28 this is great value for the quality of the food. The restaurant is very smart with a lovely cocktail bar on the first floor. The staff are super friendly and caring of the food and service. For starters I had a very good homemade liver pate with toast. It was a reasonable size and extremely tasty. For main I had the beautiful Heskin lamb cooked pink how I like with a great selection of veg and Yorkshire pudding. I would say other than my wife's roast potatoes these are the best I've had in a restaurant. The lamb was so tender and the veg was immaculate. For pudding had the old favourite sticky toffee pudding. This was also delicious and served with ice cream. Between the four of us we had three different starters,for main we had lamb, beef and chicken. We also had two different puddings. Every plate was returned with not a single bit of food remaining. This was our first visit but we will certainly be going again.

Visited with family, each trying a different option for the carefully crafted menu and all were equally overjoyed with their choice. I've had dreams about eating here again since our last visit, so I'm certain we'll be back.

An excellent restaurant with friendly staff anx good food

Oh gosh the food here is wonderful! I still cannot get over how amazing the chocolate mousse was!! We started in the cocktail bar which is a lovely bar and felt very exclusive with great service from the waiter who asked what we like to drink and made suggestions. Onto dining and we sat infront of the kitchen which was fun as we could watch the food come out and it helped us decide what to get. The food was amazing, came out in good time and couldn't fault it at all. Will be coming here in the not to distant future!

This is a lovely restaurant. The food is always good and the staff are very friendly and attentive. We ate as a family group and all of us really enjoyed our dinner at this gem of a restaurant.

We were a group of ten on a friday night and all enjoyed our food which was tasty and presented well too. Service was really friendly, attentive and also efficient considering a busy restaurant and large groups. Would definitely recommend.

Called in for some cocktails on Saturday night. Aaron was amazing and made us some tasty cocktails! 5* service from Aaron, great attention to detail and quickly served. Waitress Chloe was quick and efficient. Will come back again.

We popped in for a couple of drinks in the Green room. Aaron the mixologist is a great addition to the team. He’s very polite, attentive, gives great customer service and produces some fabulous cocktails even while juggling a busy bar! Great job!

What a lovely evening. A gem of a restaurant next to the little theatre. Cosy, really comfy chairs and not squashed close with other diners.I had the watermelon starter followed by the chicken - delicious. I tried my husbands prawn toast starter and will definitely be ordering that next time. Mine was lovely but the prawn toast was next level. I was the designated driver and there was plenty of choice but when my husband ordered a margarita I mentioned that I’d never seen a mock one before - this was seen by the restaurant manager as a challenge and he went off to see what he could do. He returned with a delicious lime sharp mocktail even with a salt edged glass. I’d choose it again in a heartbeat as it made a real change from sweet drinks and diet soda normally on offer to the driver. We spent a lovely even catching up with old friends over a great meal. Will definitely be back.

We travelled from Wirral to here to meet a friend for lunch. What a great place. The food was lovely (I had the nut roast). The service was excellent. The value was great. Definitely worth a visit.

Located off the main strip but very near to Chorley Theatre with nearby parking it is worth finding. Party of 7 of us went for afternoon drinks and food and were pleasantly surprised to find a deceptive bright dining area. Pleasant staff made sure we were well served and the food we eat, well it was excellent. Lunch time food option included pre theatre menu or A la carte and as we all chose to have 3 courses we weren’t disappointed. Lovely presentation, ample portions and tastes to lick your lips! Koftas, prawns, ham hock, pate, salmon, daube of beef and jus had an amazing taste. Thoroughly enjoyed all courses, the wines and drinks and will definitely be back

Went for a meal before a visit to Chorley Theatre next door. It wasn't overly busy when we arrived, it was early but it seemed to take a while before we got any attention with someone asking us for drinks etc. We ordered our food and the the starters came out quite quickly. But the wait for the main course after that was about half an hour, which was just long enough for me to start getting a little annoyed - Especially as we'd booked long enough in advance for the show at the theatre. My starter, the Spiced Lamb Kofta, was tasty enough but a little on the small side. Can't really complain, it was a starter, but maybe a couple of mouthfuls and it was over with. I had the Smash Burger for main, and it was just that. A Smash Burger, which for the price was a disappointment. I make Smash Burgers a lot and it wasn't anything I couldn't have done myself for a fraction of the cost. They're cheap, easy, but tasty. That's kind of the point of them. Given the price I expected some kind of wow factor, which I didn't get. Call me naive, I mean, I got what I asked for, but... 🤷‍♂️ The atmosphere or the place was nice and pleasant, the staff, if a little unattentive, where friendly and polite. We gave ourselves a good hour before our show to eat and we just made the start time. We basically had to eat and run which I felt a bit bad about but we'd have missed the start of the show if we didn't.

We had a fab meal here a few weeks ago from the pre theatre menu and it was gorgeous - so decided to try the Sunday roast. We both had beef and it was cooked to perfection. It also came with shredded cabbage and parsnips, both cooked beautifully. The Yorkshire pudding was lovely and soft and the gravy very tasty. What let it down for me was that there was no creamed potato on our plates - as advertised on the menu - and the roast potatoes were definitely not fresh. They were dry and not very hot, let they’d been kept warm for a long time. You also get a tiny dish of cauliflower cheese to share which is nowhere near enough for two people. So yes the meal was nice but I wasn’t as bowled over as I thought I would be. I hope the restaurant takes note of the comments.

We enjoyed a wonderful meal pre theatre, of lamb kofta followed by the beef daube and prawn toasts followed by the sa!mon , all was delicious, unfortunately we missed dessert as' the theatre was calling'! We will certainly return for brilliant service and amazing food!

We used Encore for my sisters wedding reception yesterday and they did an absolutely fantastic job. The food, service, and attention to deal was flawless and Gareth and his staff could not do enough for us. They went far beyond our expectations and made the day absolutely perfect. On this Sunday visit I have to say we won't be returning. As it wasn't full, I expected better service. While the girls were pleasant, they lacked attentativeness. Tables weren't cleared in a timely manner after customers left. There wasn't an awareness that we were waiting for our mains, which was for us a long wait when again they were nowhere near capacity. Serving our second round of drinks, an empty glass wasn't cleared even when serving our main course. Lamb was served without mint sauce or asked if we required it and had to be requested. My chicken meal was very average. It was overcooked, and the mashed potatoes were dry. The vegetables had obviously been under the lamp for a while. We had finished our starter, and it had been cleared away when a table of three came in, they received their main course before ours. Sorry on this visit, I can't relate anything positive.

Lovely setting, fabulous atmosphere. Host was really attentive and looked after us really well without being too much. Felt at ease and relaxed. Food was good value and tasted amazing. Visited Encore on a Sunday evening. The restaurant is hidden away from the town centre next to the local theatre. The food was outstanding. The best Sunday roast beautifully presented. Food and service was excellent throughout and tremendous value for money We had two children with us and we were made to feel very welcome. Relaxed and chilled atmosphere - just perfect. Had a peek at the new cocktail bar upstairs which is real hidden gem in Chorley (in the process of being extended) and somewhere we will be visiting soon. Seriously good food in a great restaurant.

We really wanted to love this place after seeing great reviews but it fell flat. We were sat right next to a very smokey serving hatch and asked to be moved to a vacant table, but this was reserved and we were told it would have been too complicated!! When another table became available and remained empty for the duration, we weren’t offered a move. My starter was the watermelon and cashew nut salad which was served with just the watermelon, sent this back and they apologised it had been served too early before being completed. The completed version was just odd and disappointing. Mains of the beef and pork were good but we had 3 interruptions from different waiting on staff saying ‘sorry to interrupt how is the meal?’ It felt awkward as there is a huge gap in the restaurant right infront of the smoky kitchen hatch and a small table either side. The kitchen extraction is a problem and the environment could do with some investment and upgrade as very dated.

Had such a great evening sampling the new menu at Encore - always a delight to try something different, and as usual Gareth and his team have gone above and beyond. The beef was so tender and flavoursome, and the lemongrass chicken packed a punch. Recommendation - try the homemade limecello… it’s such a refreshing way to end the evening!

This was my first visit to this restaurant having been many times when it was under a different name. We booked last minute before the theatre and were blown away by how beautiful our food was. We both had prawn toast followed by daube of beef - which was out of this world - and then a cheese selection. Tony looked after us and was lovely - very professional and attentive - and Chloe was friendly and served us efficiently too. All the staff were fab! We will definitely be returning here - a gem of a place

Hmmmm well this place had been recommended to us but we will not be returning. Nice enough place with the toilet pipes on the wall and back to front chairs but a lot of the food we wanted they didn’t have as sold out and the menu was different to what they had online. They brought another tables food to our table and service was just a little bit sloppy. The steak was quite tough. The chef also burnt himself which delayed the food slightly but we managed to fill the time with a nice catch up. Just not quiet the experience we would expect for the price.

It's such an amazing place to have dinner. Was pleasure to meet owner Gareth and seeing how was passion for his business has manifested itself into amazing food at lovely place to have. If you are around, definitely stop here and enjoy the service and food received.
