Went on a day where there was an event on so busy and a little noisy so the service was slow and conversation difficult. Food was great though so would definitely visit again and see what it's like on a none event day

An extended family get-together from North of Scotland to Somerset. Well worth the long distances. Good rooms, good food and, in particular, the friendly and efficient staff. Great location and easy parking. Would recommend strongly.

Hiked Helm Crag, stopped in for a pint and a snack. Great food menu and good lineup of beers and drinks. Plenty of places to sit inside and out. Beautiful old traditional pub feel. Food delivered very swiftly, my food great, partners was ok. No one checked on us to see if we needed help, assistance or more food or drinks.

Our mother, aged 90, hosted us for a late lunch. I had an excellent 10 oz ribeye and my husband the gammon, both absolutely fine. BUT when Mum ordered a small roast beef dinner, the helpful waitress suggested order a child's meal. She did... unknowingly... mistake! The roast beef was one narrow, thick slice of medium rare beef. a) this may be off-putting to a child... pink! and b) it was a bit tough to chew, for anyone! then c) the variety of veggies was dumbed-down to carrots and peas. So, I guess what I am saying is: an adult should be advised the veggies will be simplified and the beef is not sliced thin. We have had countless Carvery meals elsewhere, where multiple thinner slices of delicious roast beef have been served to EVERYONE. The waiter did, with a negative undertone, bring a slice of thin rare beef, then a well-done one, which our lovely mum obligingly ate. She didn't want to complain. But how could I sit in her company and not try to improve her eating experience? To the staf: please don't have off days, there are worse "complainers" than myself. I believe everyone matters. We live in Widnes and we come down to Mossley Hill often but The Rose is always on our list, a great place too . go.

Had a lovely experience visiting with family for a birthday. Liv, Amy, Freya and Selena provided excellent customer service and even went the extra mile to give my Gran a little treat when they found out it was her birthday. The food was excellent as well. Would come here again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely beautiful food, we are here for a long weekend break and it definitely didn't disappoint, lovely food and decent portion sizes, friendly staff too, will definitely be going back!

The atmosphere was great but the service was so slow and once we got our food after an hour it was cold.

We always seem to find the really cool places to eat. This one definitely no exception. The drinks were probably some of the best we’ve ever had anywhere lol and the food was really really good! Such a cool place, glad we came across it.

Warm welcome from Clare & Zoe. My wife & I were greeted like long lost friends as soon as we walked in. We had been unable to go for months due to roadworks & the bus stop being closed. Clare insisted on bringing our drinks over to save us. Food was excellent & god value off the Daytime Value Menu. Brewers Fayre customer relations abysmal. I was 80 on 26th May & should have received a free meal voucher through their Bonus Card. Contacted them on 27th & again the other day. Only received automated replies stating they would respond to my query as soon as possible. We found out today that the pub is closing in a few weeks so looks like I will not get my free meal.

Made a reservation for today 27/12/24 booked online & considered open. We booked for birthday breakfast & we have got there & it is closed !! They should not allow dates to book if they are not going to be open ! And should make it very clear to customers ! Really fustrating and upsetting as the food is gorgeous.
