Lovely atmosphere and staff, a great place to go for a decent and relaxed meal. Niall served us and was very attentive throughout the meal. Will be coming back again!

We go out of our way to visit this Beefeater regularly as the food is always good and service is outstanding. We were warmly welcomed by Niall and Ian who were our waiters throughout our visit. They are both friendly, attentive and humorous. When my very picky 2 year old didn’t finish his meal, it was wrapped up so we could take it with us. Ian even made it into a swan! Niall was on hand to make sure we had everything we needed and ensured our drink refills were topped up regularly. I had a fillet steak and my partner had a mixed grill - both cooked exactly how we liked it. After a long day out at Alton Towers - this was the perfect ending to the day. Thank you!

We visited for lunch and were very impressed. The interior of the restaurant is very pleasant, with comfy chairs and a relaxed atmosphere. We were all very impressed with our meals, and even added a dessert on for around £3.29 - it was delicious! Friendly staff, great food and the whole experience made for a delightful lunch! We will definitely visit again!

I booked last minute for family meal. There were 14 adults and 3 children. Springwood answered straight away, saying they could accommodate us... When we arrived, we had tables set aside so we were on our own, which was lovely. Olivia was outstanding with her help and service. Mark was very welcoming and helpful too. The food was lovely from starter to dessert. All in all, we ALL enjoyed our time at springwood and will definitely be returning. THANK YOU

Very disappointing menu. A burger which came with a handful of chips at £15.99 disgraceful! A lasagne which was the smallest I have ever seen and microwaved was tasteless and over priced. This Beefeater is letting down the Premier Inn next door and I would not recommend it to anyone.

My sister and I took my granddaughters and great niece as a treat, before they return to school Mark our waiter was wonderful and nothing was too much trouble for him, he made our visit special, he delt with my stroppy 7 granddaughter amazingly. He's a credit to the company. The food was very good cooked well, and the portions were large I had the mixed grill and couldn't finish it. My sister had the stake and ale pie she throughly enjoyed it. The girls had fish bite, pop corn chicken both with chipd and then spaghetti bol with .mash. yes mash on the side my granddaughter has autism the all eat everything. I was very impressed with the service mark was amazing and Mike the manager was impressive

Once again we had a lovely meal out, my sister and I took her granddaughters for lunch, the service was, as ever, brilliant. Mark is the social butterfly of Springwood Park, nothing is too much trouble, Mike, the manager, is also an asset. The food was lovely, the kids loved it, they made a heck of a mess, but it was no trouble for the staff. It was a quiet lunch, but very enjoyable. Thanks and lots of praise to Mark, he really is a big asset to this place, and is so friendly, warm the sunday lunch is lovely, and the gravy is to die for.

As soon as we arrived we were given a very warm welcome. An efficient yet friendly service was offered from all members of staff. Professional and personable team members made our celebration meal truly memorable. We look forward to returning very soon!

First time visit has we intended to carry on to poyton afterwards . Has we walked through the entrance we were greeted by mark from Yorkshire. He showed us to a choice of tables and was extremely helpful and very comical too. He quickly got us some menus and took drinks order on his return we had chose are order he took the order which wasn’t a long wait for food was of high standard and presented lovely. During the meal various members of staff came and asked if were happy with our food and also if we needed more drinks. When finished mark asked if we would like deserts or coffees which we declined has the main meal was plentiful. Mark was a very attentive member of staff not just to us but other customers too . I will definitely return again even though it’s drive out coming from leek to Macclesfield .Thanks again for a lovely lunch out on Easter Saturday Tracy and Adrian.

We booked for around 6.30 knowing it would be a busy period but we were looked after very efficiently. as soon as we sat we were asked about allergies and then a drinks order was taken. food came in a very reasonable time and the team made sure we were never half empty with our drinks and that our food was up to standard. overall a great experience and very accommodating in a lovely, clean atmosphere with friendly, eccentric staff. will definitely be returning.

Went for my 60th birthday for a meal with family 10 of us in all. Food was lovely, area was clean and comfortable we weren't cramped in at all. Holly our server was lovely, very helpful and patient with our orders especially with children. Holly also sorted out a high chair for the baby in our party. All together a great night thanks to Holly a credit to your company.

Visited with family and 7m old baby. Lovely staff member gave us a table a little out of the way so baby had plenty of space. We were served with a smile from all the team. The young lady who was our waitress was polite, efficient and attentive. The food was served in good time and we all cleared out plates. All in all a lovely evening. It’s next to a Premier Inn and has an area for just drinks. Definitely recommend.

Recently discovered this place and often return for breakfast. Really friendly and hard working staff. It's warm and there's a decent ambience. Combine Continental and English breakfast for not much money. It's no frills, you help yourself to fruit and coffee and toast (takes a while and a queue can form) and they take your order for hot food, as much as you like. Recommended.

Absolutely fantastic evening. The food was fabulous, upgraded to the fillet steak on the Boxing day menu and it was so good. The chef and all the staff did a wonderful job to make the evening very special. Thank you to you all.

Had our Christmas lunch here and it was managed it such a fantastic wait. All the staff were very friendly from the moment we walked in. The place was very busy but had a lovely atmosphere - the starters came out after a few mins of sitting down and from there each course was brought out at a lovely pace. Our server - not sure of her name - she had blonde hair and in all black was so friendly and made sure she said bye to our group on the way out, and came across as very friendly and happy to help anyone. It was great to see all the staff so happy and helpful even though they were Christmas Day and were clearly very busy Thank you so much for a lovely Christmas Day meal.

This is now our 3rd visit for Sunday lunch and Mark has served us every time. The first time we were a group of five and the service was exceptional but better than that we never stopped laughing. His humour was sharp, quick and on point whilst maintaining professionalism. We didn’t expect that he would remember us when we visited again for the second time but we couldn’t have been more wrong. He recognised us straight away and the first words out of his mouth were pure comedy, such was the rapport that was built on our first visit. Mark is the consummate professional and a very hard worker and his personality and hospitality is Contagious. He is an asset to the organisation and if he ever left it would leave a massive hole but we hope that won’t ever happen.

We came here tonight for a family meal after booking a table for 8. We ordered soon after we arrived and the food took 40 minutes to reach our table. When it arrived most of the food was cold despite the plates being too hot to touch. We send 4 plates back to get them back after a further 15 minutes and the food still being only cool instead of hot. Desert wasn’t much better small portions for the price. The food wasn’t worth the money paid and the staff were trained well and didn’t know how to deal with customers particularly when we were asking for hot food to be served. Wouldn’t be coming back in a hurry.

We visit here on a number of occasions as it is just down the road .We have had some lovely meals here and occasionally not but have always decided to give it another chance ... not sure we will be doing so again .There is one good server but the others looked to be new and to be honest not very well trained .We had a long wait to order followed by a long wait for the food at a time when the restaurant was not overly busy .Food was good but we will not be rushing back .

We visited Springwood Park this morning to have breakfast for my husbands birthday, the restaurant wasn’t very busy but it was clearly understaffed with just 2 teenagers trying their best to run things. The family at the next table were complaining that they were still waiting for their food, so it wasn’t a good start. We then went to get our breakfast and the majority of the food was empty, it was only 10am so still another hour of breakfast to go. There were no cups to have a hot drink, the coffee machine wasn’t working, no pastries, 3 of the cereals were empty, milk jug empty! A group of us stood waiting for 10 minutes whilst the young staff said things would be restocked soon (another 5-10 mins she said)! I went in search of the manager to try and get them some support and to find out what was going on, but no one was to be seen, so we decided to just leave! Very poor service and very understaffed. My friend was a group of 25 who ate there last night and also had a number of issues due to understaffing and a rude waiter.

We visited here for the first time on the way home one Friday evening. We had a waitress spill a drink on us - that’s easily forgives le as we’ve all done that but then it was compounded by our waiter forgetting to order our starter and not telling us about a 40 minute wait for a main. When I chased the starter he challenged whether wed ordered it and that he’d told us about the main delay. The funniest bit was him telling us he’s normally great and we are just one table he’s had a problem with today - normally he doesn’t forget anything, despite him having had to double check twice what I’d said about how my steak should be cooked, forgetting the starter order and not paying any attention to my request for a drink refill.

My family had been invited to a wedding in Macclesfield. We booked and stayed in the premier inn next door which was very convenient. We all ate in the restaurant which was loverly. Service in there was great and although it looked very busy we had meals at our table in no time.

Not been here for over a decade, and in all honesty it was somewhat disappointing. I had steak with chips and peas, at just over £8.00 it was good value for money, but very plain. My wife had the lasagna, looked good and was red hot, but sadly a tad tasteless.

Visited with my wife and almost 2 yr old. Arrived to what seemed to be a fairly quiet restaurant to be told food would be a 30minute wait. We decided to go for it due mainly to not wanting to drive somewhere else. As the table next to us was served their food we noted a sauce had been forgotten by the kitchen. We ordered and waited. It really was 30 mins plus despite what seemed to be a pretty manageable amount of customers. When it arrived, the food was tasty but only warm. The “triple cooked” chips were barely cooked at all! This was quite frustrating as the food had clearly been sat for a while before the waiting staff brought it to us while we were sat desperately trying to entertain a hungry child. We were offered more chips when we said all this to our waitress but who wants more barely cooked chips! After two visits by the waitress to clear the 3 plates on our table, we were then forgotten until we got up and put our coats on. We would have had desert had we not been ignored. That said, glad we didn’t as we already racked up £50 for a below average, lukewarm meal! Won’t bother going back!

The service from start to finish was out standing! Mike the manager offered friendly yet professional service from the minute we were sat down at the table to leaving. The food was of extremely high quality and very good value for money. I would definitely recommend this restaurant

The restaurant was untidy with lots of uncleared tables. I was allocated a four-person table and ordered a drink. When the drink arrived the waitress advised that there was a delay in the kitchen and meals would be about 40 minutes. To be fair the meal arrived after about 30 minutes but it looked as though it had been thrown onto the plate. The vegetables were over-microwaved and the chips were hard. Although this was a pub meal it cost over £14 plus the £3 side of vegetables and for this money I expect the service and presentation to live up to the price tag. Also the Doombar was not well kept and I took a single mouth-full and left it. Yes I could have complained but frankly that would add further hassle to the evening.

Springwood is where we like to unwind and catch up. Always friendly service and Prosecco chilled to perfection. Great place to sit and chat amongst friends

Decided to stop for lunch while on our way home. It was surprisingly quiet for a bank holiday but that was fine by us as we didn’t have to wait long and the food was delicious. We had great service and our meals were perfect.

We had a family lunch on the 18/08/19 Arrived at 1215 and was shown to our table by a nice staff . All seemed promising until the food arrived . It was very disappointing. The fish and chips was so so . Surf and Turf was overlooked and The pie was well cremated! We sent the pie back as it was not edible . Salmon was okay but it was not served as described on the menu .

My mum, husband and I had a lovely meal yesterday afternoon at the Springwood. We are regular diners and really enjoy the friendly, excellent service with delicious food. My mum is elderly and can only eat small volumes of food. This has never been an issue for the team, who have always gone out of their way to accommodate my mum.

I have to admit I preferred this pub when it was the lower tier Table Table brand because more of the dishes were delicious. However, the service is still as good (although I miss Jack the manager) and some of the dishes are fabulous (the new mozarella stuffed chicken with pancetta and chips is divine). I do wish makhani curry was available on a Sunday though. The online booking system is great and the tables in the conservatory bit are nice and light. Great for a relaxed family dinner :)

my fish and chips where great and to be honest go here all the time and never had a bad meal until now my wife had the sirloin steak and had to send it back to the manager so much fat on it to which he replied" some get through the check" and that was it took it away to show the chef no replacement and nothing knocked off bill or free desert offered will go back but perhaps not order steak again its not the best in town for food will tick good as normal is

Staying at the Premier Inn next door we decided to have a birthday meal at the Beefeater. We were sat in an area next to a noisy table of four and a table of three foul mouthed Scots. I asked to move to another table as I didn’t want my fiancé exposed to that behaviour. The response from the floor manager was that he didn’t have any problem with Scots to which I pointed out that neither do I unless I have to listen to f###### this and f###### that. My mother’s family is in fact Scottish. He just walked off. Ordered a shared mixed starter, which was ok and the so called ‘best ever’ sirloin steak that felt like it had string running through it when I cut into it. Sent it back and was offered a replacement but had lost my appetite. On the plus side the young lady serving us did her best with what she had to work with but never again.

Arranged to meet colleagues for lunch at the Springwood. They must of just opened as were the only ones in the place. Which was great for us as we were served straight away with no delays. Meals were quick as we had to return to work. Good service thankyou.

I was really impressed with this place, the burgers are amazing and would highly recommend them but I have been several other times and ordered different menu items and its completely different experience.

What a loverly restaurant. Made even more so by the beautiful weather on such a loverly day. We ate outside in the garden as it was just too nice to sit inside. Even tho we were told to order inside they came to us and took all our food and drink orders. A pleasant touch as they did not have to offer this. Overall, I absolutely loved the visit. The service from florence was outstanding and I'm looking forward to coming again. The food exceeded standards and everyone was very easy to get along with. It was an amazing experience.

The restaurant is conveniently placed attached to the Premier Inn hotel and belongs to the same company, unlike the set up at the Premier Inn at the other end of Macclesfield. Whilst not perhaps rising to the accolade of fine dining the meals there are extremely good value for money. In particular the £9.50p, all you can eat, breakfast is amazing value. Couple this with a coupon purchased from the hotel, and breakfast and two course evening meal with an alcoholic drink, can be secured for £24.99p. Pick your times carefully to avoid the hotel peak demand and the spacious restaurant is relatively empty, allowing service times to be reduced.

The standard Beefeater menu but the service meant that this was more than a normal meal. Friendly, helpful and very efficient, I cannot say anything bad about them.

Went there because we were staying at Primer Inn next door. The restaurant wasn't busy but the waiter rushed us to a table and asked what we would like to drink before we even sat down and had a chance to look at the menu! The garlic bread for our starter was cold. For my main the lettuce was clearly old, as was the grated cheese which was also quite hard, obviously a sign it was sitting around for a while. My partners burger was also cold.

As we were staying in the hotel next door we booked a table to dine the night before a family wedding. Reception booked our table to no hassle there, sat down to eat later than planned as we were still waiting for family to arrive but this did not bother the gentleman on the door. I ordered a steak which was cook beautiful and all the party said now nice the food was. Great place and takes the stress out of eating out.

went at 4 30 not very busy waiter served us got our order my wifes meal was fine mine paprika chicken not great frys colslaw and salad then the female waitress disappeared two male employees near bar eventually one of them came over we asked for dessert menu 20 minutes later he came back I had frozen yoghurt and strawberries. not great the wife had cherry and ammeretto sundae she enjoyed it the service was Terrible we where in there over 2 hours and it wasnt busy very disappointed

well clearly some staff here are better than others and the waiter who seated us was the worst, the place was totally empty, 3.30 in the afternoon, but he made a big deal about whether we had booked and didnt know if they had his table before decididing he had a choice of two tables available, despite every other table also being empty, he gave us our menus, but didnt give us the cheaper daytime offers menu, when we asked for those claimed he didnt know where they were.

We went for a meal at the Springwood in Macclesfield. We were amazed at the quality and value of the delicious food we ordered. The service was excellent and the waitress was really friendly and helpful.

We have been to this restaurant several times over the years - whether it is because it is now part of the Beefeater chain or some other reason - but - the atmosphere isn’t as good, it used to feel busy and the meals are of the ‘ping’ variety - I am vegetarian and I know there is a clue in the name - but hardly any meals suitable for me. We went on a Sunday and we were surprised at how empty the car park was. I won’t be going here again.
