Lovely pub eats cafe, friendly people . Nice large terrace. And there is a campsite along it.

We zochten een campingplaats met onze camper omdat we al lang in de file hadden gestaan. Na een mooi stukje rijden door wat smalle straatjes, kwamen we bij dit café uit. Ze hebben hier namelijk ook wat camper plaatsen. We waren superblij dat we zonder een reservering konden verblijven voor 1 nacht, om uit te rusten. Het café ziet er erg gezellig uit. De eigenaar is aardig en behulpzaam. De camping is eenvoudig, heeft stroom aansluiting, WiFi, schoenen toilet en een ruime netten douche. We gaan er vanavond zeker eten. Het enige nadeel is dat het langs een doorgaande weg ligt.

Very much a bog standard Robinsons pub, only 2 real ales, but most of locals were lager drinkers anyway. Food looked good, portions were big and everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. Good luck getting served at the bar if you’re not a local as they’re definitely the priority for those serving( rightly so some might say) Only pub for miles, good job as any decent competitor would mean trouble for this place.

We called in for lunch, and we were the only ones there! Despite that, the welcome was lovely, and the lunch we had was wonderful. The young lady behind the bar who looked after us was charming, friendly and attentive. A really nice old community pub, that deserves support.

Had a great meal today, great choice of menu, food was lovely. Very friendly service, pub very clean and welcoming. Highly recommended!

Top notch Robinson pub on the edge of the peak district. I can safely say that I've got to the point of specifically hunting out Robinson's pubs in the area simply because you know what you are going to get; a well kept pub with decent ales on tap and very pleasant staff.

Camped there for a night, went in to pay, and spent a good few hours in with he locals. Had a lovely time very friendly and not expensive.

Myself and friends and her 3 children visited the harrington arms today, wow the service the welcome was second to none nothing was too much trouble the price for the quality of food was good, amazing just try it thanx alex👍😄

Fantastic roast dinner, beef cooked to individual taste, would recommend to others, pudding was also very delicious, lovely friendly atmosphere, with log burner roaring

Have to say the steak was amazing and the chicken kebab look amazing, good size portions.

Disappointing. Practically empty for Saturday lunch, food was tired and looked reheated from a previous day. Background music was a bit off putting. Staff were friendly, just a shame the food wasn’t anywhere near worth what we paid for it.

It was a quiet day when we went, but that wasn't a problem, the food was really good and the service was quick. All round a good meal. I would be happy to go again when passing.

Sunday Lunch is amazing. Large portions. The fish and Chips gluten free .Best I have ever tasted.

We called in for food without reservations with no problems the staff were lovely and the pub was clean the food came promptly and was excellent and very well priced we really enjoyed it

Beautiful spacious pub with friendly staff/locals. Food is outstanding, the portions are big. We were welcomed, seated and eating with in 30mins. Hook up campsite on site too!

We arrived in our campervan and were slightly disappointed that there was no food on offer that day due to staff shortage. However we ate our own food at the thoughtfully provided pub bench table at our pitch. We went into the pub after eating and the bar seemed to have only a few locals and we thought we’d be in for a boring evening. We were soon made welcome though and before long we felt like locals ourselves because everyone took time to include us and we had a hilarious time chatting and drinking. I’d highly recommend the Harrington, the staff were lovely and the atmosphere was fantastic.

Called in on the spur of the moment, we just managed to grab a seat. The place was clean and tidy, staff were polite and helpful. The food was excellent 👌 be definitely going again.

Amazing food, some of the food is very overpriced, £17 for a salad, that's the reason I had to knock a star off. However roast dinner was £13 and was amazing! Views are beautiful and there is a little play area outside for the children

They advertised new summer dishes 3 hours before our arrival. We walked 5 miles to be told they finished because their too busy

Stayed here in our motorhome. The first guests to use the new site . Very welcoming freindly staff .The landlord made the effort to say hello and made us feel very welcome .The food was delicious and plenty of it . Great location with lovely views good facilities everything you need for a great stop over .we were even given a complementary drink as their first motorhome visitors would deffinatley recommend this new site and will be looking forward to a return visit .

Came here while we were staying in a log cabin about a 40 min walk away between Christmas and New year. We decided to walk so we could stretch our legs and have a few beers with our lunch. When we arrived, we were disappointed to see a sign advising that there was no food 😞 due to a staff shortage. Can't be helped so we went in anyway and had a few drinks and some Crisps and nuts. Lovely, cosy pub. The fire was on and it was really warm and comfortable. We sat in the dog friendly area. Great service from the barman. Really welcoming and chatty. Great selection of drinks too.

1st visit for Boxing Day lunch. Friendly staff & efficient. Food was superb & we'll definitely be going again 👍

Used at the end of a Club Ramble

I wish I had taken a photo or two of our lunches. We had a great time here, the staff are very friendly, warm atmosphere and the food, oh wow, the food is amazing. Three of us had Hot Pot, the best I've had ever. My son had Lemon and herb chicken skewer with fat chios and salad. The food presentation was 5 star, the flavours take you back to your childhood, I use to visit with my parents in the early 1970's. They also have a pool table and beer garden, a return to try other food is a must. The Harrington Arm's is about 4 miles outside Congleton on the A534 Macclesfield to Leek rd and about the Same from Macclesfield. We live 12 miles away but we are definitely making a return visit. You know how a great English country pub used to be, the Harrington Arm's is a true great traditional pub. I simply cannot recommend it enough, we would gladly drive an hour to visit, oh, and they have a log burner. There is ample parking and seating. So let's keep a great country pub alive. You WILL NOT regret it.

Stopped off for Sunday lunch, first time we have visited but certainly not the last. Roast beef was excellent and lots of fresh vegetables really well cooked and good service.

Visited 2nd October and I have to say that I have not had such a good meal for years ,. A party of 5 adults , 2 children , all the food came out together even though we all ordered different, it was very hot and absolutely all delicious. Sunday dinners were cooked to perfection . Staff were very good too . We will definitely be recommending the Harrington arms to everyone we know and will be back very soon.

Friendly pub with good food. Stopped by on a Sunday and had a roast beef dinner. Delicious! Beef was cooked medium and not dry. Plenty of it too. Lots of veggies. Vegetarian option was a cheese pie and it was tasty. Shouldn't of had pudding as I was too full but did anyway and didn't regret it. Cheesecake was nice. Would go again.

The Harrington pub, was one of are Staffordshire moorlands Scooter club meets. Very pleasant country pub in open countryside. Very enjoyable scooter ride!!!

Beautiful place to visit 😍 Huge car park for all the scooters that went there tonight chips and bread n butter provided. Ladies toilets were spotless and smelled Lovely. Lovely bar tenders 10/10 off me. You deserve the credit. Thank you 😊

Just popped in on the off chance and I certainly glad I did, the meal was amazing and the thickest cut beef i have ever had on a Sunday roast, will definitely be back and i recommend it whole heartedly

This is a really nice pub inside, serving good food, with what could be a charming beer garden, but totally spoiled by a) unwelcoming staff and b) the amount of warning notices everywhere particularly signs saying 'keep dogs on lead'....there were even 2 of these stuck on the mirror in the 'dog friendly' room. Keeping dogs on their leads is a given, I certainly don't expect a multiplicity of signs telling me to do so! Shan't be going back here in a hurry.

Lovely garden and outdoor play area, inside clean and fairly spacious, dogs welcome (I do not own a dog but there were several customers with lovely,very well behaved dogs). Service ok, pleasant staff but not overly efficient. Nobody came to ask how our meal was shortly after it had been served nor were we asked how it was when we had finished and they came to take the plates away, when my plate was clearly still full. I then told the young lady that my meal was awful, meat tough and chewy, cauliflower rock hard and roast potatoes like leather... she didn't respond, so I assumed the chef wasn't notified either. No discussion or apology offered, still paid full price. I expect they didn't enquire as to how our meal was as they already knew the answer... the roast dinner was absolutely terrible. My partner had a burger which was "ok".

Slightly confused by all the food reviews. We came here today with the aim of having a meal & were told by the bar staff ‘we don’t do food’…..(having done a quick Google while in the area & read the reviews…)

Random stop and was greeted by a nice warm log fire. The Stella was as good as ive had, and whilst we didn't dine, the food that came out looked lovely.

Really excellent food in a comfortable and friendly Peak District pub. We saw this on the drive down today and decided to return for our dinner. Food was lovely, good service and very good value for money. Definitely recommended especially the steak and a pint of the Robinsons stout!

Does not do tapas now. Half of the menu was not available and what was available was substandard. Table not cleaned correctly.

Called in for a quick one on the way home from Hare Hill with the family. All enjoyed their drink and my grandaughter like the play area.
